This is the truth.

You’ll never be enough.

Don’t ever let them tell you.

That you’re worth it, that you’ll get somewhere in this world.

And I want you to know.

That you’re worthless, never to get anywhere.

Don’t you believe.

That somewhere, somehow, someone will love you.

And don’t ever forget.

They’ll never care about you.

It is not true that.

Someday they’ll love you.

Always remember.

Life is backwards.

Upside down.

Hey! This poem really struck me in a way I didn't think it would. There are no spelling mistakes so good job, but there are a few grammatical and wording mistakes I see. So the first one I saw was the sixth line where it says That you're worthless, never to get anywhere. I think in between the comma and never there should be a you'll. I think it makes more sense and I think it makes it flow and sound a bit better. Another mistake is the eleventh line which is It is not true that. Now I understand that it's supposed to be a cut of sentence, but if it is than there shouldn't be a period there. Anyway..... I found no other mistakes and I really like this poem. It was completely different from what other people tell you, but the 'upside down' part really gave it a different perspective. It was different, but I completely enjoyed that. I'd say just Keep writing. <3

This is pretty spanking awesome. I thought it was a depressing poem or something that is supposed to make you feel sad, until I saw the bottom. Nice work on that, Author :D

I have no nitpicks. You wrote that good. .-. Derp...

ANYWHO! I loved the form of this, and I might steal it for a poem of my own. Full credit to you of course :)

Always remember.

Life is backwards.

Upside down.

This HAS to be my favorite part of this whole poem. And even though, like I said before, it's not supposed to be a sad poem, it is so true. Life can be upside down and backwards all the time. If something doesn't turn out the way you think it should have, just 'Always remember' this. ;)

I have nothing else that is important to say, other than this is pure awesomeness.
Keep on writing :D

Hi. :) Notifications said you started following me. Then I noticed your name on the featured works list. So as gratitude for following me, I shall comment on your work. xD There is not much for me to say though.

I must say, this would have been more awesome if you didn't spoil it at the beginning and at the end. :P I thought the line 'Life is backwards' was enough. Also, it was already pretty unusual for someone to write a completely negative poem.

Anyway, I think the whole brilliance of the poem lies in what you just did there - which was make it readable backwards. I don't suppose many people would have attempted this, and I give you credit for this being 'original' and unique. xD One thing though, that 'Upside down' didn't make much sense when you start reading it backwards.

Another thing, if you would write a more (awesome and) complex poem which can be read backwards like this and not spoiled by hints ( :P ), I'd start calling you a genius. xD

I like what you did with this poem. It goes both ways if someone knows how it works. It's like a secret message. If I were still in high school, I would've put this in our literary magazine, and let the others find out how this poem worked as a puzzle. When people find out how this worked, it's considered inspiring. Well done, friend, very well done.

From your friend,

Hi, Authorian. This is Pinkie here for a review.

This poem is amazing. It gave wonderful message to everyone in the whole world. The message is that someone will love you, and you will get somewhere in life.(And yes, I read it backwards) You gave some great wordings on here which it made much better. I enjoyed this very much, Authorian. This is well-written and wonderful masterpiece. However, I got to agree with Lonely. You don't need the periods on here, but this poem is still good. I love to read more from you. Well, have a nice day!

Awesome Job! :D

Cheers

Your reviewer, Pinkiegirl13

Thanks. Please like if you enjoyed it ;)

Hello Authorian. Welcome to YWS; hope this site helps your improve a lot.

Well, to tell you the truth, this is the first time I read something like this. I don't even know what to say. It is just simply amazing. I like the way you wrote it upside down (well you simply challenged Shakespeare with this poem of yours.)

I am truly inspired by this great work of yours. It is written in simple words but it is written neatly; which is a great thing.

I do like poems with rhymes but this one, with little or no rhyme at all, sounded great to me. The message was clear and lovely.

I am very excited to see your upcoming works :)
All the best with those.

Have a great day/night.

Thanks very much!

This was absolutely amazing. It was depressing, but then you read about how life is upside down. That turned my thinking upside down for sure, and this sure did change my perspective. I wish there were favorites, so I could do more than just like it. The only problem I see is the punctuation. You don't need to put a period after every line, but I like how it makes it feel abrupt, almost as if the speaker isnt sure what to say.

Somehow, after reading this, I feel like I'm something, but nothing, yet everything at the same time. This poem made me rethink everything and all possibilities. It reminds me of a choose your adventure book, with all the different outcomes. It depends how you look at things. That makes me wonder... Did you write the positive or negative part first?

Just remember that this was awesome. You are amazing. I have a changed view, but that's not bad. Thank you for letting us read this, not to mention enjoy and twist our minds around the poem. I can't wait to see more from you, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. :)

Thanks so much!

I have never ever seen anyone write like this before and to tell the truth, it is amazing!
It makes sense backwards and forwards, which must have been quite difficult, so good job.
When I started reading it, I wondered where you were going with this poem and got a little bit worried... but when you hit the last few lines and read it again, it's pretty cool.

Thanks. I got the idea and was just SO excited cause I was like 'this is it, this will be my greatest work' I was surprised with how well it turned out!
