Punch, jab, kick, punch. Kick, jab, jab, punch. Jab, jab, jab.
That was the sound of me working at the punching bag in the state of the art gym they had here at the Paramen Academy. They had everything you could think of and more.
Kick, kick, jab, punch.
I had my hair up in a high pony tail with my bangs clipped back from my face and my music blearing. I was completely drenched in sweat and everybody was watching me with suspicion, curiosity, and a small hint of fear. My fingerless boxing gloves were starting to slip up and down my hands, so i stopped to wipe them and continued, switching from boxing to martial arts. I pounded into that bag like my life depended on it.
Once I finished that, I hit the weight room. All eyes were still on me as I loaded on 250lbs, thought I know they didn't pay attention and began bench pressed. When I finished somebody came up to me. It was Chase.
"It's kind of hard for people to believe you're not a vampire when you bench press like that." he commented casually.
I sat up and smiled. "I can actually do more, but I didn't wanna scare you guys too much."
Chases gaze zeroed in on the spot under my right eye. Make up must be coming off. I'm surprised it hadn't come off sooner. My scar must be showing.
I grabbed a bottle of water and poured it on my face. A deafening silence rang out for a moment. You wouldn't believe the sounds that came out of people's mouths.
Chase actually took a step back he was speechless. "S-some scar you have."
"Yea, most people are intimidated by my eyes, and when combined with my scar it really scares people off." I shrugged before taking a big gulp of water.
As you can guess, classes are over for the day, and it went as good as it could. I know I didn't elaborate much, but i don't feel like going into it. Everywhere i went people watched, like they were waiting for me to give myself away. I got glares, stares, side glances, and whispers about whether or not i was a vampire.
Out of no where Molly walks up to me, almond brown hair bouncing and swaying as she went and came to an abrupt stop when she looked at my face. The poor girl looked like she was lost in the dark forrest, but she found the courage to step closer and smile.
"Hi Ms. Wenchester, how's your work out going?" She gave me this big smile with all of her teeth showing.
What the chiz?
"Um," Pause. "good i guess. You?"
"Oh, it's going great. Can i work out with you?" she asked with those puppy dog eyes. Chase snickered and shuffled to his friends who were still watching me.
"Um," I looked at her and tried to resist.
She even did the lip pout thing. Sigh. "Please?"
She jumped up and down, even jogged in place. Sigh again. Crap.
