Every morning, I got up a full half hour before my roommate, so she wouldn't see me putting my contacts in. That would be disastrous. She was a human, and I had a feeling she wouldn't take kindly to the red eyes. It was an interesting challenge, rooming with her--I had to be very careful, especially around feeding time. I'd often stay out at night, under the ruse of studying at the library, and find some kid cramming for exams in a remote corner of the campus. So far, the coverup had worked.

I walked into my classroom ten minutes before class started. I was one of the first ones there, as usual. I set my books down and watched the other students trickle in. How many of...us...were going to be here? There was one...and another, and another after that. Then there was a string of humans, most of them rather plain. Humans just weren't very interesting to me. After a short lull, another human walked in, wearing all white and a choker necklace. An odd look, but I kind of liked it. She looked around for a moment, and then sat down at her desk in a hurry, and propped her feet up.

Then that other girl strutted in--Molly. I couldn't stand her. What an annoying, arrogant brat. When she noticed me staring, she crossed her eyes at me, and then grinned as she sat down, combat boots resting on a chair across the aisle. I stifled a snort of disgust, and turned back to my books. Maybe the new human in white would be easier to tolerate.

I stalk into the room taking a seat far from any human so I won't go crazy from all the delicious blood flowing through these small bags of bones. I laze in the back doodling on my arm as the teacher drones on and on about something boring to me cause I've already heard it a million times. I turn to the window and watch as the sun rises higher, the light starting to edge closer to my desk. I scoot further in my seat away from the light and scratch into the desk a simple design of a black rose with deadly thorns that seemed to send a certain feeling off of them when I touched it.

I wake up with my music blaring in my ears, this time "Pulse of the Maggots" by Slipknot. I roll over in bed, not wanting to get up, but then my eyes snap open as I realize that I have a HUGE test today in Pre- AP World History II today, and I didn't study at all. I was up until two last night finishing my Pre- AP English essay.

As fast as I can, I take a shower and throw together an outfit, consisting of a rumpled Metallica t-shirt, my favorite pair of black jeans, combat boots, and a purple spiked choker that matches my streaks. I take time to put in my contacts though. I'm not a vampire, I swear. I just have bad eyesight. Really.

But, of course, people don't believe me. A girl sees me slip on a contact once in the bathroom, and boom, I'm the school vamp. So now, people don't only make fun of me because of my scholarship status or my clothes, but also that they now exclude me even more because they think I'm a vampire. But being labelled as a blood-sucking moster does have its perks. For example, they're afraid to make fun of me to my face. But, then again, I know they whisper about me behind my back, which might be worse. But I digress.

As I race down the room and into the hallway, I snach my bag up, a red and black plad tote with chains hanging off of it. It includes a binder, folder, pencils, and a book that would probably send me to the school phycologist if they knew I was reading it. As would my music. As I rush into breakfast, I think to myself, Great, another dreadful day.

I stand in line for breakfast with everyone else, the people in front of and behind me keeping a good distance away, as if I were a ticking time-bomb. After being served my breakfast, I sit down at my empty table in the corner, crank my music up as loud as it can go, and delve into my book.

As I walked into class I looked around at the students. Intersting bunch they were. They were watching me like a hawk. First day here they already didn't trust me. I recognized each and every face from the student files I recieved when I got here. I went through them all and memorized names with faces.

"Good morning class, my name is Ms. Wenchester, and welcome to Ancient Mythology.."
I took my seat at the desk as they chimed back their good mornings and began doing roll. Once I finished taking roll I stood up and turned to the board to wipe it down. Somebody had left some....colorful words on the board and my students wouldn't stop looking at it. They were probably getting a kick out of this. No matter what school you're at, teenagers are teenagers.

"Yes, Molly?" I finished wiping off the board before turning to address her.

She just blinked. "What?"

"I was under the impression you had a question." I clarified.

"Well, I did but..." she bit her lower lip.

"But?" I Inquired.

"But i hadn't raised my hand." she finished.

"What was your question?" I asked.

"You didn't call our our names for roll." she finally said.

"Well, if you want I can pull roll back up and do it again." I offered.

"No ma'am." she smiled.

"Ok then," I walked around my desk and turned the computer off. "Since this is my first day, we won't do any work. Today we get to know eachother."

Molly raised her hand. Yay.

"Yes, Molly." I called on her.

"Well, if you know my name ,then it's safe to say you all of our names." she commented.

"Yes." I answered thought it wasn't a question.

"Well, we don't know anything about you. Not even your first name" she cocked her head to the side.

"It's Luna." I told her.

"What a pretty name." she gave a fake smile.

Someone in class snickered. My eyes darted in the direction of the sound and landed on a girl with long black hair and pale skin. Nadia, her name was Nadia Fermi. She's actually my roommate believe it or not. I just got settled in yesterday and hadn't got a chance to meet her. She cleared her throat and looked away. I turned my attention back to Molly only to find her glaring at Nadia.

"Thanks." Honestly, I never want to say thank you to this girl for anything, but i needed to get her attention off Nadia.

She turned back to me and gave a synical smile, but said nothing. "So what are your hobbies?"

"I like to keep active." I answered.

"How so?" she stared me down.

"Martial arts, hiking, climbing, the works." Just shrug it off

"Are you a vampire?" Her eyes had this odd glint to them.

Somebody in the room choked on something.

"Are you?" I countered.

That caught her off guard, but i don't know why.

"A-a-a-a-"

"What?" my right eyebrow raised. "You didn't expect that? No, im not a vampire."

She recovered from her speechlessness, looked at my hair with a sneer."What's up with your hair?"

That settles it, i hate this girl. Time to make her squirm. I pulled my bangs back from my face with a clip and listened to the collective shocked intake of breath at the sight of my eyes. Molly was completely stunned. Her dusky pink lips were pale like milk and the color had drained from her face. I looked around the room to see similar looks in others. Some looked like they loved my eyes, others looked completely flabbergasted.

"What's up with your hair?" I shot back and stared her right in the eyes.

She couldn't get a word out. She was too shocked by the color of my eyes.I moved closer.

"Let me make this perfectly clear," I announced to the entire class. "I don't take crap from anybody and I won't let anybody bully me. You show me respect i show you respect. Is that clear?"

"Yes ma'am." the class mumbled in unison.

"Is. That. Clear!?" my voice boomed.

They all jumped in their seats.

"That's another thing. You don't mumble in this class. You speak, and you speak clearly." I starightened my shirt.

"Get it?" they nodded.

"Got it?" They nodded.

"Good."I smiled. "Now, any more questions?"

Sorry, i didn't realize how long this was until i posted it..

Lillian “Ian” Thomas

New Year? New stunts to make my Mother’s blood boil. Love it. I’m naturally an early riser, usually waking up around dawn, but I was still preparing for the first…event of the year. Suffice to say, my roomie didn’t exactly appreciate being woken up by my ruckus. “Oh, uh. Mornin’ Trin’ ready for your first day?” she glared at me obviously a little irritated by my antics. I had tried socializing with her the day before, but she seemed like the shy type, and this wasn’t really the best kick start for our relationship. Well… I have all year to get on her good side, right?

“Right. Whelp, I should get goin’ don’t want to be late for the first day. See you in class!” with that, I slip out of our room as quickly as possible.

I slink through campus until I reach the building containing my classroom. It was one of the smaller, older ones on campus, only about three stories high and covered in ivy. I tightened the straps of my bag, making sure they wouldn’t slip, grabbed a handful of ivy each and started climbing. Thank Goodness for strong ivy and light bodies.

It took a while, but eventually I had pulled myself onto the roof. I took out some of the contents of my bag, a nice length of rope, usually used for rock climbing, and strapped on some of the harness. Only some, because where’s the fun if there’s no risk? I double checked to make Shure the end of my rope was safely secured, and bounded back down the side of the building.

When I got to just above my classroom window, I began swinging back and forth gaining more and more momentum. When I had a good swing going, I lowered myself expecting to swing-smash into the window special ops style. Unfortunately for me, sometime before the school year started they had re-enforced the windows in order to make them bullet proof. (Not that I can blame them- pretty much all the students were kids of billionaires and prime targets for that sort of thing.) So I didn’t smash. More like splatter.

Thankfully I landed on the ground without much more than a few bruises. The next time I opened my eyes, my teacher and my class were staring down at me. “Oh…heeey Ms. Wenchester, looks like I’m in your class again this year. How are you?” Luna sighed and let out a breath.

“I’m fine. But Ian, you know I have to send you to the principle and give you a citation. Again.”

“Yeah. That’s cool, you know nothing will actually happen. Money talks and all that.” I said as casually as could, despite the fact the wind had been knocked out of me. I turned my head slightly “Oh hey Trin! Looks like you made it on time.” I scanned the rest of the crowd, and saw a few familiar faces. Plus a girl wearing all white. I had the urge to splatter her with paint, much like my own clothing. And a few boys, whom I winked at in addition to giving Trinity a good natured friendly one. This is going to be a good year.

sorry I'm late posting this, I was without internet for a few days.

Name: Steve Crepsley

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Age: 16

Appearance: Short brown hair, hazel eyes, 6’2”, decent looks, is rather pale, not from being a shut in computer addict but rather plain old genetics, though due to his intelligence people normally assume the former, semi athletic, he’s not weak but by no means is a jock either, has an average build. Wears mostly cheap t-shirts and jeans, for lack of anything else, making him look out of place among the rich children of the academy.

Personality: He’s very shy around people his own age, especially those of the female variety, he gets nervous and when he’s nervous he tends to ramble, he also doesn’t approach people very often. He’s a very in his head kind of person, so he’s often staring off into space and almost always acts calmly and rationally. He never had a large number of friends due to him being so shy but is very protective of the friends he does have. He doesn’t often let his emotions show unless around trusted friends and then he’s normally cheerful and relaxed. He is very interested in Vampires and rather curious about them so when he found out that they were at the school rather than fear, he was excited and viewed this as an opportunity.

History: He comes from a typical lower middle class family, his family was proud when he got the scholarship. He’s a borderline genius, which is how he got into the academy on a full scholarship. Throughout his life he didn’t talk much, had only a few friends and got straight As in all of his subjects. While he was happy enough with the life he had he found that the school bored him to no extent, which is why he applied for the scholarship.

Up for love: yes though very shy, especially around girls. Also he’s straight, in case that wasn’t clear from the last part.

I woke up to my roomate's big fuss and knew right away that either I would hace to start getting up earlier or she would have to get up later. More likely the first, I hate confrontation, I feel bad though, when I got here yesterday I didn't exactly try to make conversation, in fact I pretty much ignored her. "Okay," I start talking to myself, "after class we'll fix that. It's just the right thing to do." with that I apply my sunscreen, put in my contacts and I'm on my way to class.

Once there I slide down into a seat in the front corner by the window, "oh no, I skipped breakfast again!" I think to myself. I can't go too much longer on regular food, I'm going to have to get some blood within the next week or two, I won't last long past then. I'm so lost in thought that I almost don't notice that our teacher is getting in a sass-off with one of the preppy girls! It's official, this is the best teacher ever! Next thing I know I hear a loud crash and look over, well that would explain why Ian isn't in class, she just bounced off of the window and fell to the ground.

The whole class goes down to check it out, she seems okay, with only a few bruises; she's lucky, she could've really gotten hurt. Then she makes a remark that money will talk and she won't be in trouble. People loke that tick me off, but that's probably because my mother and aunts were poor, way back when. Glad I was able to get in on an academic scholarship, working as an assistant doesn't get you millions, it gets you nothing but experience. Once again I'm so lost in thought I almost miss the class going back inside. Once we're back in the room I try and focus on the teacher.

Age: 17

Image

Pearl is one of those girls who enjoys accessories and all the girly things alive though not too much of overdoing herself. She is approximately 5"7 and enjoys make-up. Her lips are a natural red though not as much as seen on the picture, and has a beautiful wave to a hair which appears to be brownish-black. She has a pale skin and a piercing on her nose. (If you can see that stud on her nose. xD) Pearl is very fashionable and loves to try out new things.

Personality: Pearl can be an attitude-chick but she is very sweet and kind. All the vampire stories get her freaked out and she freaks out of almost everything. Bugs, cockroaches and all those stuff gross her and scare her. She has a great interest towards Science which is very unusual of her but still enjoys it. She’s an outsider and enjoys doing “boy-stuff” like playing all sorts of video games, biking around and arcading. Pearl can be a kid but she is matured enough to take correct decisions. She is slightly short-tempered but doesn’t allow it to run her life. Pearl does what she wants but not everytime. She does take the advice of her friends, as they’ve practically been there for her throughout her life. She aces at all subjects and has a classy talent towards dancing and skating. Not too good on dates, she can be clumsy at them too. To her, she just appears to be herself whether its just a normal or special day, or is it occasions, she doesn’t care for she wants to have fun with her life as well as being independent.

History: Pearl has been an orphan for 14 years now and lives with her first cousin - Annabeth. Anna, is like a sister to Pearl because she’s been with her throughout her life. Pearl lost her parents when she was 3 and that was a tragedy. She has hardly got to see her parents. Her parents were for a love marriage but later on, her mother was diagnosed with a terminal disease and soon died. Her father who was devastated ended up with a heart attack after a few months. She never had any siblings other than Annabeth. She might have a few who are out of town but doesn’t have any contact with them. Pearl thinks that her mother is the most beautiful lady in the World to which is why is got her beauty and fashion sense. Her father, she thinks he is the bravest man. Pearl now lives happily in the Academy but often remembers them a lot.

Up for love: Yes – She doesn’t care if the guy’s straight or not, she just needs a guy who has feelings for her that will never fade off.

Chase

Shooting hoops with a couple friends and part of my groupies at around 5:00 in the morning, they keep on talking about girls and cheerleaders and all that. I agree, just 'cause, and think about why I hang out with these people in the first place. You're the jock, Chase. Go with it.

Telling the boys that I have a date - I really don't - I exit the gym and walk towards class. My roomate: Tatsel, probrably already out. I wink at a couple girls when I walk through the halls, getting to class late.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I give my charming smile, almost all the girls staring at me, "I was practicing with coach. Talk to him."

The teacher rolls her eyes and sighs, not marking me late, "Take a seat Mr. Hathaway. We were in the middle of something."

Glancing around, I sit in the back next to a girl: Sarafine,I think was her name. I glance at her before zoning out the lesson, staring up at the ceiling.

"Chase," The teacher calls on me, "You're turn."

I roll my eyes and flash a fake smile, "Chase. I like girls...partying...and football. Baskteball. So yeah."

The teacher rolls her eyes again and calls on someone else.

Tatsel "Morpheus" Lunatone

I had to admit, Miss Luna was a hard one. A woman with a bite to her speech. That would've scared all four centuries and a year out of me for sure if I was asked that question. All of us vampires would do our hardest to avoid the question entirely. I just waltzed right in and took my seat, keeping my little fox-like grin on my face.
Miss Luna was displeased obviously. "You're late, Mr. Lunatone."
I chuckled. "My apologies, ma'am. I must've gotten lost in the place. It's huge and rather easy to get lost without a map."
Someone behind me said, "Hey, Tatsel. Why don't you wear your hair short like a real dude? You look like a girl with that hair of yours."
I clenched my fist. I hated when someone told me that. I turned around. "It's my hair and I'm proud enough to wear it this long and styled the way I have it. If you don't want to get into bigger trouble with me, take...it...back."
The mortal boy swallowed hard and took it back.
I held my sly grin. That mortal was going to get his, one of these nights. Real question was, what to do with him without getting caught? I had me quite a record for cause mischief in my wake and the staff never touched me. "The name is Tatsel. I have a thing for books, but my personal favorite is Edgar Allan Poe."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Waking up in the morning is a whole different matter to adjust with. God, so much to do right in the morning. I have to find my new class. I brush my hair and let the straight wavy hair come in right in front of my shoulders. I tie my whole bunch of hair to one side, and leave my bangs. I grab on to one of my printed black jeans and wear a violet sleeveless top. Thank god for being skinny and tall. I put on some thick mascara and kohl on my eyes followed by my famous, bright red - lipstick. That was fairly enough for the morning.

It was 7.10 am. Shit, I was late. I grabbed one of my chandelier earrings and put it on and few of my crazy bands to go with. Snatching my bag, and I push in the books and I was off. I ran through the hall, boys and girls looking at me. I waved at some of the people but I had no time to chit-chat.

Hard for me to stop when I stop at my class, I almost skidded but took help of the handle of the door. A guy named Tatsel, was enlightening everyone about him and his interests. That guy, man. He looked weird with all that long hair. I grinned and walked into class, all of them staring at me like I had just killed somebody. Ms. Luna looked at me strictly and I turned to face her.

"Don't you know your timings, young lady?" Ms. Luna asked me.

I shrugged and replied, "Its the first day, Ms. Luna. I'm sorry, I was just a little lazy."

"All those make-up and dressing taking a long time, Ms. Esther?"

What the hell is wrong with her?!

I cleared my throat. "Maybe. I can't come to class looking ugly."

Everyone laughed and Ms. Luna looked disappointed as ever. I took my seat next to... I don't know. Some guy and dropped the books on to my desk. Luna continued with Tatsel as he finished his speech and sat down, grinning to his self. He looked very weird to me.

"Luna. You're turn." Ms. Luna said, folding her arms.

I looked around and stood up. I hated these kind of things. It always made me nervous and googly on the inside! I started off...

"My name's Pearl. And... I enjoy dancing and skating. Oh, yes. Having fun with life too. Who wouldn't want that?"

I sat down. A short introduction is enough to get this class running because I'm getting bored. I sighed a huge relief, and looked at everyone in the class. Some were from last year but I didn't know them too much. Anyway, doesn't matter. I shall make good friends with all of them. Apart from the vampires. Have to watch out for that.

Isobel

I heard Gray yell at me to wake up but I just couldn't bring myself to move. When I heard about the vampires in the school my paranoia doubled and I had become somewhat of a insomniac. I appreciated sleep when I was able to get it. I heard Gray leave and a few minutes afterwards I turned over to look at my alarm clock.
"Crap!" I said jumping out of bed. I was going to be late for class. I grabbed a brown T-shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans and was out the door.
I skipped breakfast and headed straight for Ancient Mythology. I got there three minutes late, the teacher, Ms. Wenchester glared at me as I walked throught the door.
"Nice of you to join us Miss Montgomery" I blushed furiously as I made my way to my seat in the back. Ms. Wenutchester and a student bantered back and forth for a while but when she raised her voice the whole class jumped. I started looking around at the mention of vampires. My parents sent me herebto get away fom the danger. How ironic that I found it instead. I started flicking my pencil back and forwards. It flipped out of my hand and bounced off someone's head on to the floor.
"Sorry," I said bending down to retrieve it. I was such a klutz.
The teacher called on me to say something about myself. I blushed as the attention shifted towards me. "My name is Isobel and I'm a klutz and I like playing the piano and the guitar."

"Sarafine! It's your turn" I roll my eyes and finally listen to the teach,Ms. Luna or whatever, I just kick my feet up on my desk and look around at everyone with my red eyes and smirk satisfied with what I got when I looked at them with my all natural gaze, then I look straight into the teach's eyes my red ones drilling into her silvery ones. "I am Sarafine obviously since you just said and I like to be left be while busy and these are contacts, unless there's a way to make your eyes permanently red then I'll take it and obviously from my accent I'm part french. That satisfy you Mademoiselle or do you need more like my personal info too?" I give her a sly smile then adjust my legs more comfortably on top of the desk and resume my drawings that I now start to work on in a beat up violet notebook, trying desperately not to suddenly appear in front of the teacher and sink my fangs deep into her neck, for it was getting harder and harder not to bite someone.

Heike

There would be introductions the day I forget my white board. Figures.
"Ms. Henke, after you've put your feet where they belong, would you like to introduce yourself?"
I shook my head and left my feet where they were.
Ms. Wenchester narrowed her eyes at me. In all likely hood, I just made her list. Works for me.
"Feet. Introduction. Now."
Sighing, I stood up and began to sign, quickly. A classroom of wide eyes stared back. Oh, well. They were bound to find out sometime.
I sat back down. No one said anything for a moment but the teacher quickly moved onto the next student. I put my feet back up. One advantage of being different is that when people first meet me, I could get away with murder. After a week, not so much.
The girl next to me (Nadia?) passed a sheet a paper to me. On it was written, "What did you say?
I looked at her for a moment. Then smiled and began to write.
I didn't say a word, I signed. What I signed was: "Hi, my name's Heike Henke. Most of you will just refer to me as freaky mute girl. If I hear you say that, however; I'll spike your orange juice at breakfast and make you do something stupid. I enjoy watching horror movies, partying, and listening to music. I currently can't do the last one, though. I left my iPod sitting on Ms. Wenchester's boyfriend's dresser.
She read my message and raised her eyebrows at me. A moment later the paper was snatched away by a perfectly manicured hand.
Whoopsie.
Ms. Wenchester read the note as Nadia sank lower and lower in her seat. She folded it up, put it in her pocket and told me, "Feet down, Ms. Henke."
Looks like my week's up.

Trinity

My plan to pay attention since we arrived back in the classroom, so far, has failed. I keep thinking how I want to stick my fangs into some of these kids, most of them are really preppy, popular kids. We're doing my least favorite school activity, introductions. All that this accomplishes is the preppy kids get to feel superior, and I have to sit here and listen to how rich, pretty, popular, and perfect they all are. I'm dreading the moment that I'll have to stand up and introduce myself, it's going to be ugly, I can guarentee it, that's the way it is every year. If I'm lucky, maybe she'll forget to call on me.

Of course she didn't forget. "Trinity, you're turn,"Ms. Wenchester announces. I slowly stand up, and all eyes are on me, I,m shaking like a leaf and a few people must notice it because there is some giggling coming from the back. I go to start, but the words just won't come out. I go to sit back down and Ms. Wenchester yells, "We're waiting Trinity!" The giggling has gotten louder. Slowly I begin to speak, " My name is Trinity, I like to cook, listen to music, read, and write. I like to draw. Music and writing are my true passions. I am also an actress and a singer." Now everyone I notice is laughing, except for Ian and another girl, I think her name is Raven, who are both giving me looks of sympathy. Now I really lose it. Then I yell out, "I might be shy trying to talk to you jerks, or anyone I don't really know, but I come alive on that stage! Anyways, I don't need your approval, nor do I want it!" I storm out of the classroom and hide in the nearest janitor's closet.

I get nice and comfortable in a corner of the closet. Once I'm settled, I pull out my notebook and start working on a song that I started last night. Before I know it I am getting really into it, I even start singing it to myself. Now I wish I could stay in this spot, like this forever. I must have been singing a lot louder than I thought though, because next thing I know Ms. Wenchester opens the door and the whole class is standing behind her.
