I finish writing the paper and I was the first one to give it to Luna. Everybody finishes after 5 minutes and I sit happily on my chair. Luna walks to Chase and she see's two marks. I couldn't help getting freaked out for a second, but I shut up.

"If this is the bright idea, any vampire in this room, better cut the crap now. Go bother someone else at night. I'm off limits." Chase declares, putting his jacket on and walking out of the class.

I go on to follow him. I see him going to the gym and walk in to see if he's alright. He touches his neck to feel the two marks and I just squint. That's the first time I see a mark so close.

He looks behind and see's me. He sighs and asks, "Yes?"

I shook my head. "Nothing. Just wanted to check if you're fine."

"I'm fine!"

"So... Starting to believe in vampires, huh?"

He ignored me and I shrug. "Can I tell you something?"

"What?" he asks.

"I don't want you to go tell everyone this. But..."

"But, what?"

"I saw Anna feeding blood to Heike because her venom wasn't taken out." I say, letting it all out.

"What?! Venom?" he asks and I nod. He looks horrified.

"Sarafine's on the loose. We all know that she's a vampire. But I think only me, you and Heike knows that Anna's a vampire too. If everyone gets to know, one of them is going to suck the blood out of me too." I say. "I'll let you be on yourself now. Bye." I say, getting ready to walk out of the gym.

Pearl follows me which makes me feel a little weird, and she starts talking.

Once she's done, and she's getting ready to leave, I mentally curse myself, "Wait," I stop her, she turns around.

I flash my famous half smile, "You maybe want to watch me shoot some hoops?"

She just stares at me for a few seconds before going onto a full-on blush, "Me?"

I nod, "Yeah..." I grab a basketball from the rack, "Thanks for telling me. I'm sorry for acting rude."

"You...apologizing?" She asks, taken aback.

I glance at her before making a three-pointer, "You don't know alot of things about me. Even my crew doesn't," I smile, "So sit you're pretty little a*s down and watch."

Taken aback, the famous Chase, has asked me to watch him shoot some hoops. Oh, wow? Really! I mean, yeah, of course I blushed a little there because me and Chase weren't that good of friends, but this would be a starting.

I raise my eyebrows at him and sit down. First, he does a little warm-up that I can't help laughing. That was funny.

"What?" he asks and I just chuckle, and shake my head.

"Warming-up?" I ask.

"Hello! I'm trying to impress a girl here!" he says, laughing.

"Oh! Well, I don't get impressed easily." I say, kind of challenging him.

"Are you really saying that? I mean, I just saw you blush!"

"Blushing is a different topic! Impressing is style. Have you got it?"

"You're... Messing with Chase Hathaway here. I've got pretty much everything I can to impress a girl." he says, and shoots up a three-pointer.

I clenched my fist and stomped all the way to my room. Thankfully, it was empty. I took a bottle of blood from a secret cooler and drank from the bottle. I've managed to keep this a secret from Chase and planned to keep it that way for eternity. I drank the whole bottle down. Once the whole bottle was drained, I threw the bottle away. "That should last me another month. As long as chuckleheads like Sarafine doesn't screw it up. In her recklessness, we vampires are bound to get staked within no time." I went on with my stroll.

Boy did Sarafine and I get into it in class! It took multiple people to pull us apart and two large men to take us to the admin. Once we got there they talked to us seperately, being Sarafine started with me I got off with a warning since it was self-defense, I would imagine Sarafine is in a world of trouble for that though. I'm sitting in the nurse's office now, icing my left ankle, because it hurt before, now, after this fight it's throbbing! I also have a few more bumps and bruises and a black eye, and my nose just started bleeding. Also I think I'm getting a fat lip, boy did Sarafine get me good, I got in a few punches as well but I was nothing compared to her. I'm fairly certain I broke her nose though. The nurse wraps up my ankle in an ace bandage and asks me to try to walk on it. I can't do it. Great, now I'm going to have to have it x-rayed.

I tell the nurse that I have an audition after class today and she promises to make it quick. Apparently my ankle is severely broken in two places and I have to use crutches for two weeks, and have to keep a walking cast on it three weeks after that. She gives me an ice pack to take with me and I hop back to my room. Sarafine is going to get it for this! Especially if I can't properly audition today. I decide to skip the rest of my classes and stay in my room, I can't get in trouble if I'm busted, I have a valid excuse. I spend most of the rest of the day listening to music, reading, and compleeting my homework for the week. By the time my last class would be over, I get up, grab my crutches, Shove what I need in my purse that's on my shoulder, and hop to the auditorium.

The drama instructor announces that we weill be doing the production of "Grease." I get excited, that's one of my favorites. Then I go over to sit with Raven until we are called. She goes up and does a great job. I am called up right after her, and I must say, I nailed it! I tell the drama teacher that I am auditioning for the part of Rizzo, but will except any role, then I begin. I did a wonderful job! Raven and I make small talk as she walks me back to my dorm. Luckily she doesn't ask about what happened in class, although I know she must be wondering. I can't wait until tomorrow morning when the drama list will be posted before class! Then I think to myself how I really don't want to go to class tomorrow, but I'll have to. Just then Ian comes in.

This was getting totally out of hand. I was in gym class and everyone was staring at Chase who had been bitten by a vampire. First Heinke now Chase, the vampires were starting to get really bold. I wonder who will be bitten next. I started shaking on the bleachers; my paranoia was starting to get the best if me and I needed to chill. I pulled on the hoodie of my black sweater and popped my headphones into my ear. Hopefully everybody would ignore me and I could try to relax. I needed to stop hanging out by myself otherwise I might be somebodies lunch. The gym coach blew his whistle and motioned for me to participate. I nervously got off the bleachers and sat down on the benchpress. With any luck the thing wouldn't fall on me, but knowing my luck… I was praying.

Hey everyone, I've noticed that my character Molly has been portrayed as timid and skittish. She's not actually a wuss, she's just kind of odd. Just FYI.

After class, I strolled through the halls for a while, stopping every once in a while to read A Brief History of Time. For a moment, I wondered where Sarafine had gone, but then decided I didn't really want to know. I frowned, slapping my book closed. To bring it up during class? Could those two have been any more obvious about it?

I was about to continued further into the building, when I saw Tatsel across the courtyard. He smelled like blood--not fresh blood, though, stale blood. Again, I realized how lucky my timing was. I wouldn't have to feed for at least another three weeks. I was still surprised no one suspected me, though. I certainly looked the part.

I walked across the courtyard, and caught up with Tatsel. "Tatsel," I said softly. "Do you know who bit Chase?"

I hadn't realized the whole P.E was staring at me and Pearl until I turned around. The girls flash a smile and the boys scoff. Shaking my head, I drop the basketball and look at Pearl, "C'mon," I hold my hand out with a smile, "I wanna show you something."

She studies me before sliding off the bleachers and walking towards me. She stares at my hand, blushing again, and I sigh, "I'm not going to hurt you, Pearl."

She nods and hesitantly takes my hand. I sense her blush even more and I fully smile- finding that's the first time I ever had - and lead her up the stairs and to the roof, "Chase, where are we going?"

I chuckle, "Just wait."

We get to the roof and we look up over it, railings covering each side. I lean on it, glancing back at her, "Do you see me as a complete player?" I ask, turning around to face her, "Because that's not me. That's just my reputation that people make up."

I ran down the hall, looking for vampires. We are going to have a meeting weather they liked it or not. I stopped when I saw Sammy. Sammy is a young vampire (bitten at age 13) who lives at the school. She is sweet and kind and has dubbed herself "my personal assistant".
"Sammy," I said, "I need you to spread the word, grope meeting tonight at 11. My room. Got it?"
Sammy smiled big, "No problem at all Miss Boss." and she skipped down the hall. I found Tatsel and Trinity and informed them as well. Nether seemed to happy about the idea but they agreed to come and inform everyone. This was going to be interesting to say the least.

I sat back down at my desk and took a hearty swig of water. Chase had walked out of the class and my shoulder was killing me. The door opened and a student came in. Wavy brown hair and dressed in all black. I liked her spiked choker.

"Yes?" my left hand was numb.

"The Head master wishes to see you in his office right away" she answered.

Sigh. "Now now?"

She nodded. Sigh again. "Are you gonna watch my class for me?"

"He said you can dismiss the class early" she replied.

"Well, you heard her. Y'all aint gotta go home, but you gotta get the hell up outta here" I motioned towards the door.

They didn't need to be told twice. They were gone in half a heart beat. I stood and followed the student to the headmaster's office.

"So what's you name?" I ask.

"Leah" she answered.

"I like that name. It's beautiful" I smiled.

"Thanks" she side glanced me.

She didn't trust me. Probably thinks i'm a vampire.

"I won't bite you." I promised. "Im not a cannibal."

"What about a vampire?" She asked outright.

"Do i look like I wear contacts?" I raised an eyebrow.

She didn't talk after that. We came to our destination and she took her leave. I stepped into the office and the woman sitting behind the desk told me to go on in. I knocked first.

"Come in" came a warm male voice.

I opened the door and came in. The man behind the desk was a sight for sore eyes. I thought I would see a short, fat, balding man. That wasn't the case. Tall, dark, and fine as silk. Man was I in trouble. His skin was this flawless almond brown and he had shoulder length black hair combed back with a lock in his face that gave him a naughty air and emphasize his jaw line. Oh, and he had big hands. I was sucker for big hands. He stood up and walked towards me. Tight black V-neck t shirt that molded to hard sculpted muscle and really snug fitting denim jeans. Wow.

"Ms. Wenchester," he held his hand out. "it's nice to finally meet you"

His hand swallowed mine and them some. They were and calloused. Eeeep! I cleared my throat.

"Please, call me Luna" I smiled.

"Luna it is" he smiled back.

I loved the way my name sounded on his lips. Full and-

I shook my head. what was i doing? This is my boss! And he was checking me out? Shame on him! I cleared my throat.

"You wanted to see me?" he still hadn't let go of my hand.

"Yes," he let go to pull out a seat for me. "I wanted to see how you were doing. I heard about the fight"

"Oh, i'm doing fine. Nothing more than a few scratches." which i'd completely forgot about.

I touched my neck and yanked my hand away.It was still bleeding and it stung. He handed me a tissue.

"Thank you, headmaster" I dabbed gently at the scratches.

"Call me Kai" he smiled.

"Ok then, Kai" I smiled back. "Is that all you wanted?"

"Yes," he nodded. "You can go back to class"

I stood and headed for the door. He opened it for me.

"Thanks." I rubbed against him. Full frontal too. He blocked half the door way.

He had a hot body.

"You have a nice day, Luna" he closed his door.

The lady behind the desk sighed. "The woman he's with is the one in the world"

I smiled as I walked out of office. I sure was the luckiest woman in the world to have a boyfriend like that.

I am completely astonished at how completely reckless and stupid some people are. Could Sarafine make it any more obvious that she was a vampire? I swung the bottle in my hand around gently making the red liquid inside swish gently. I took a small sip, and scrunched up my nose a bit. “Stale…” I breathed out quietly.

A few seconds later, a steaming Trinity entered followed closely by Raven. They both stopped in their tracks when they saw what I was drinking.
“Why are you….?” Trinity asked, clearly confused. I set the bottle softly on my bedside table.

“A lot of stories in mythology center around demi-gods.” I say clearly referencing to the argument that had taken place between Trin’ and Sarafine. “Half-bloods. A human parent and a divine one. These children often had to find a way to not only serve their godlike half, but protect their human one.”

Both dark haired girls stared at me eyes growing big at the implication of what I was saying. I had only realized it myself a few years ago. It should have been obvious.

My father left home at night often coming back with more energy than he had left with. I remember seeing bite marks on my mother’s neck from my childhood. I craved the coppery taste of blood. My body seemed to mature at a far slower rate than my peers, yet my senses were far above them. The last straw was my father’s disappearance after vampires being revealed to the world.

“Usually, that ended up with them experiencing great suffering.” I swipe the bottle back up and down the rest of its contents. “I guess it’s a common trait among them to not give a rats ass about their own lives.”

The schoolday is finally over. After a grueling day of classes, not to mention what happened in first period, I am exhausted, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I mean, I'm supposed to be tough, right? The goth girl from public school? But insteaad, today I went though a roller-coaster of emotions, ranging from guilt and fear to elation and excitement. Guilt about not telling anyone about Sarafine, fear for both my life, as well as Trinity's, and elation and excitement for the upcoming drama auditions, where I'm heading now.

I rush over to the preforming arts building, where I go to the door marked "Audition Room". I walk in the open door, and sit down on the steps of the mini-auditorium, in a dark corner, as usual. After a few minutes, to my shock and delight, Trinity is here. Unfortunately, she was there with a broken ankle. On crutches, she walks over and sits down beside me. "Hey." we say in unison.

After another few minutes, the drama club sponsor/director comes in and tells us that we are going to preform Grease, not my first pick, but still a good musical. I would prefer Hairspray, but whatever. When she kicks off the actual auditions, I am one of the first to volenteer to go, followed quickly by Trinity. People loved my audition piece from Much Ado About Nothing, and absolutely adored Trinity's audition piece.

I invited her to dinner at the local pizza place on campus afterward, but she declined, saying that she had a lot of homework. In truth, so did I, but I would rather go out with friends. They're famous for thier garlic bread. Hmmm...

I growled as I clenched my fist. One of my own kind attacks my roommate, who's unknowingly my claim. There are many things they can do that I can let slip, but when it comes to Chase, I draw the line. Chase was my claim. Nobody should touch Chase but me. I looked at the one who told me. "Who attacked him? I want a name and I want it now. Nobody gets a hold of Chase but me."

So it turns out Ian is a half-breed. After that bomb was dropped, Raven left the room, which was good because Ian and I could finally talk. Just as the door was closing I told Ian about the meeting at Anna's at 11. She agrees to come with me and after that we sit in silence, each of us minding their own business. She is painting something and I am listening to Twisted Sister and Journey, two great bands! When 10:50 rolls around, we leave, making small talk along the way. When we get to Anna's room I question if Sarafine will actually stick around.

We knock on the door and my suspicions are confirmd when Sarafine herself answers it. She lets us in, shooting me a glare. We sit down and Anna offers me a bottle of blood, knowing I haven't fed in a while; I accept and down it swiftly, now I should be good for a while. Apparently, even though we arrive at exactly 11:00, we are the first ones here. I wonder what this is about. I look at Sarafine, I decide to speak my mind before everyone else gets here. "You know Sarafine," I begin, "You're really going to get it if I don't get a good part in the play because of the injury you caused!" She gives me th evil eye, "I still owe you more pain than that, " she purrs, "I might have broken your ankle, and given you a black eye, but I'm still not finished with you, especially now that you broke my nose!" I debate whether or not to hit her over the head with one of my crutches, but before I can Ian must notice how I'm staring at them because she takes them away. Then, before any of us can get another word in, everyone else shows up, and sits. Whoever hasn't fed recently is given a bottle of blood, and Anna begins, "Do you guys know why I called you here tonight?"

"Because we have a traitor upon us?" Sarafine asks sarcastically. "Enough!" I scream at her, " I told you, I only told Ian because it involved her friend!" I jump up on one foot to grab my crutches and hop away, but Ian forces me to sit back down. I glare at Sarafine and she gives me a fake smile. "So what should we do to Trinity here?" she asks with an evil smirk. Anna stops her, "While she was very wrong to betray her kind, you were in the wrong to!" she lectures her. Then Ikind of tune out for a few minutes while those two argue. Then Anna silences the room. "Okay back to official business." she restarts her previous thought.

When Ian handed me that bottle, I felt like she had just dowsed me with ice water. The thought of drinking that... I was nearly sick in the hallway.
My brain was working 1,000 times faster than usual. I could see 10, 15 steps ahead. I could see how every action would effect the next.
Thank you, I signed making my face look nothing but grateful. I don't think either of them knew my language but they get the gist anyway.
She gave a nod, before making her way to class. Tatsel also went on his way.
I can't handle class today.
I went back to my normal room, all my giddy exciment gone. How was I going to do this? I knocked back nearly an entire bottle of vodka, yet it had no effect. I stared at the two bottles in my hands, one containing something that allowed me enough peace to sleep at night, one that was to be my new sustenence. Breathing hard, I threw the two bottles at the opposite wall and listened to them shatter. I burried my head in my pillow, and screamed my lungs out.

I layed there all day doing nothing but thinking. Thinking of all the things I've lost now. The monster I was. I had never felt so conflicted. Even when I had first left home, torn between getting the hell out of dodge and going back and begging his forgiveness.
Every cell in my vampire body yearned for the drying blood on the wall. It was so sweet, so intoxicating it, it was driving me out of my mind. On the other hand, the thought of being any where near it made me want to vomit.
My mind was going at the speed of light. Torn between images of embracing my destiny or killing myself.

Around 10:45 a little girl came around telling me that there was an all vampire meeting going on in fifteen minutes. I raised my middle finger at her. She didn't have to be fluent in ASL to what that meant. She quickly left me alone.
Then my thoughts turned to Sarafine. Fire burned inside of me. When she had threatened me, I was a human, weakened by venom. Now I was a vampire, capable of super human feats.
I put on my favorite clubbing dress, a black lacy thing that was barely more than lingerie. Before I left I dabbed a small amount of the half-congealed blood on my wrists and neck. If anyone questioned me, I smelled like I had fed.
When I silently arrived, Anna was speaking, "Okay, back to official buisness."
Not quite yet.
I was right behind Sarafine when I kicked her legs out from beneath her sending her to the ground. She yelped, caught by surprise. While she was still recovering from the shock, I bashed her head into the floor until she was no longer conscious. I stood up, put a heel into her back, and signed.
Who here knows sign language?
