"What vultures eh Chase well I'm gonna blow this place and head to the next boredom session of things I already heard for the millionth time, yah wanna come with me since this class is obviously over by the looks of it." I say pointing to the clock that was way past class time in this room. Once out of the room and far from any mortal I lean in close to whisper secret vamp stuff only another can hear. "How you holding up on your hunger Mr. Mortal?" I ask smirking showing a small bit of my fangs then they disappear and Tatsel joins us.

Tatsel "Morpheus" Lunatone

I went to join Sarafine. "What in the world are you up to? Our existance is at stake and you're fooling around with mortals?! That's something even I wouldn't do. Ever since our existance was made known, I've been keeping myself sustained by drinking a pint of blood once a month. I'm trying to keep my roommate from figuring out I'm four centuries and a year older than I look. If someone puts two and two together, we're done for." My teeth were clenched for all this. Ever since a fellow vampire was made known and put down, the rest of us had to take extra precautions in our matters. One bad slip and those of us who stayed in the Academy were done for.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

"Chill Tatsel it's just Chase remember plus it's a harmless question that no one heard but Chase and you, any way how you been holding up?" I ask him wrapping my arm around their shoulders as we head down the hall. "Anna can't seem to stop asking me about it every day in the morning but she's my roommate so it's all ok."

"Jeez," I muttered, as I started a new doodle on my notebook. "Someone's a drill sergeant."

Ms. Wenchester made everyone introduce themselves, but I basically zoned out. I knew pretty much everyone here, anyway. I drew on the cover of my notebook with a Sharpie, not paying attention at all. I looked up during Heike's written intro, trying to stifle my laughter at her iPod comment, but then I put my head down and doodled through the rest of it, even through Trinity's outburst. By the time Wenchester got her out of the closet, there was a cartoonish sea creature on the cover of my notebook.

"Molly," Wenchester said, her voice impatient and snappish. "Your turn."

I stood up, graffitied notebook in hand. "'Sup," I said, giving the class a little wave. "I'm Molly Chambers. Uh...I like flying, I have my pilot's license, I'm in Civil Air Patrol, I like my hair the way it is, and vampires aren't real. And this is a squid." I held up my notebook doodle.

"Molly," Wenchester snapped. "You don't draw in my class. This is mythology, not art."

I tilted my head comically at Wenchester. "That's funny," I said, making a show of puzzling it out. "'Cause if I don't draw, how did this squid get here?"

After my little incident, Trinity’s outburst, Molly’s sass and eighty percent of the class showing up late, Ms. Wenchester kind of gave up on punishing everyone. Which sucks, because I kind of reveal in getting in trouble. Humiliating my “family” is one of my few joys. Although, when Molly talked back to Luna about her squid, I couldn’t help but snicker. Our teacher glared at me.

“Miss. Lillian, if you find this so humorous, perhaps you’d like to introduce yourself next.” I smiled and stood up. Even though I gave her a hard time, I really like Ms. Luna, she was actually pretty cool if you gave her a chance.

“Yo. I’m Lillian, but I go by Ian. I’m an adrenaline junkie, I paint, and the councilor says I have abandonment issues which result in me lashing out inappropriately. Also-” I say turning my gaze towards Molly. “That chick is a liar. Vampires are real, I know, my dad ran off with one. Plus…” Before I could finish, the dismissal bell rang. I was the first one out of that door. Not like I was worried about being late, more like I was in a hurry to ditch.

I went a building over; spray can in hand once again attached to my harness. Maybe I should think about investing in some new equipment because I was falling again. Instead of hitting the ground, I found myself in the arms of none other than the resident ladies’ man on campus Tatsel Lunatone. Also with him, a Miss. Sarafine, who was indeed very fine. I had never actually spoken to either of them since they were almost never away from their little group. No time like the present.

“Oh, hey thanks for catching me.” I say grinning and swinging myself out of his arms. “Don’t tell anyone you saw me over here, ‘kay? See you around.” I run off heading to my room hoping they wouldn’t follow or question me. I needed to order some new climbing equipment.

I crouch low once the girl had gotten away pretty fast, trying to keep from chasing after her and tearing the heck out of her neck my fangs bit into my bottom lip drawing blood really quick. I try to keep it under control but was failing miserably I couldn't hold it at bay much longer I had to feed and badly, I shook away Chase and Tatsel from me and continued on hiding my fangs from sight as they throbbed in my moth begging for a tender neck to sink into but I refused them one over and over again. I'm gonna faint or something if I don't eat soon!

Well that was an interesting class period.
I had some time to myself (second period study halls = useless) so I decided to take a stroll. I was just in time to see Tatsel catch Ian in his arms. Stranger and stranger. I like it.
Ian ran into me as she was scampering off. "Sorry," she said. "I was just heading back to my dorm and-" I sort of zoned out from there. Was this girl capable of picking locks... because that could definately work for me.
I gave a sharp clap and she stopped talking. Here goes.
There was a can of spray paint in her hand. I pointed to it.
"Paint?"
I shook my head and pointed again.
"Can?" I nodded then pointed at her.
"Me."
I put my hands on my own chest.
"You." I fingered the key on a chain around her neck.
"Key. Can I something your key? Can I get your key?" she guessed.
I nodded. "Where is it?" she asked. I put my arms over my head to look like a roof.
"Your room? Sure, if you have a computer. I need to order new equipment."
I motioned over to where the little scene just took place.
"Yeah, that's why."
We walked off toward the dorms while Ian told me how lucky I was that she could pick locks.

Hm...Sarafine. I like her.

Just as she pushes me and Tatsel away from her, I smirk and walk behind her, winking as passing girls as I do. I glance down at my new high-tops and chuckle, getting to our next class. I sit in the back again, my groupies plopping next to me.

"Boys," I whisper to them, glancing at Sarafine as she sits, "What about her?"

They look at her before looking back at me, "Don't know. She's pretty; but feisty. Be careful."

I smirk and fix my jock jacket before nodding and kicking my feet up on the desk, waiting for the bell to ring.

First period had just ended and everyone was shuffling out. I spotted Sarafine heading out the door and called out to her.

"Sarafine, would you wait a second? I'd like to talk to you." I ran my fingers through my hair.

She moved towards my desk. "Yes?"

"Have i done something to offend you?" I asked.

She shrugged. "Not that I know of."

"Then what was with the attitude? If you didn't wanna introduce your self you didn't have to" I crossed my legs and stared at her.

Instead of answering she turned to leave "Later teach, got other classes to go to"

"Well then one more thing?" I held a hand out.

She turned in the door way and waited.

"I like your contacts, but what's your real eye color? Red?" I smiled.

Sarafine's eyes popped wide.

"Something wrong?" I gave an innocent frown.

Her fists clenched so tight I thought she would bleed. She gave a strained smile. "Everything's fine."

"Ok then," I turned back toward the computer. "have a nice day.

She left without another word. And that, ladies and gentlemen, was my first encounter with a vampire.Who knew what the next class had in store for me.

“You’re Heike huh? Got a lot of nerve mentioning Luna’s man. I like that, and you’re lucky I can pick a lock no problem.” I grinned. When we had been walking, Heike stopped dead in her tracks, making bump slightly into her. She pointed at the door “This yours?” She rolled her eyes at me and nodded. I snickered a little “Guess you wouldn’t have stopped and pointed at it if it wasn’t. She gave me an ‘Oh really?’ look.

I could feel the blossoming of a great partnership forming. Heh. I pulled out something resembling a Swiss army knife, but was in actuality a lock pick set. Heike gave me a raised eyebrow.

“What? I don’t do the amateur bobby pin thing. Please.” I say, working at the door lock, didn’t take long before hearing that satisfying click. I turned the knob and gestured into the room. “Milady.” She grinned at me, and I followed her into the room.

“Now, about that computer.” I say looking around the room. Heike nodded her head to a laptop sitting on her bed. I made my order with one of the credit cards I had swiped from my mother. Not like she’d miss it, she has at least ten more. When I was done I looked up at Heike. “You’re new right? Want a tour or Ian’s special campus look around?” She smiled and we walked outside.
In the hall, another door opened knocking Heike down, and some chick glared at her.

Watch where you’re going, snow freak.” Referring to Heike’s all white outfit. The girl pranced off, and by the time Heike stood up, I already had the girl’s door opened. I gestured to the girl’s belongings. “You like fire?” I say pulling my lighter out “Cuz’ I like fire.”

I look over at Chase rolling my eyes,"I can still hear ya know Chase?" I smirk then prop my steel toed boots up on the desk and draw a dragon baring it's teeth in my beat up notebook that was so majestic and beautiful yet still mighty and fierce Kinda like me I guessI smile at my handy work then start to add some color to it as the teacher drones on about something I already know.

My blood was boiling as I got up from the floor. Snow freak.
"You like fire?" Ian asked me. " 'Cuz I like fire."
I held up a finger for her to give me a minute.
I disappeared into my room. In less than ninety seconds I had exchanged my white tee, choker, and jeans for a black lace tank, a mini skirt, and a black beaded choker. I was no longer celebrating a great first day. I was mourning. Mourning the loss of that girl's belongings.
Right before I stepped out I grabbed the white board, a marker, (That I had forgotten for the second time that morning. Seriously, if my own head wasn't attached...) and a bottle from a make-up kit, one of the few things I had unpacked.
When I appeared outside the room again, Lillian looked surprised by both my change of attire and the amount of rage I was giving off.
Because suddenly, in my mind, I was back in that damn house having him push me around.
I tossed her the bottle of nail-polish remover and held up my written message. Love it.

First period was over faster than I thought, nothing much happened. Everyone had to say something about themselves, a few people came in late. It wasn't very eventful, you could tell people were freaking out. I couldn't help but laugh a few times.

Everyone shuffled through the halls on there ways to their next class, sideways glances at everyone they pass. As if they're paranoid that the person they''re walking with could be a blood sucking monster.

I pass a few people, I talk to Chase and Izzy, a casual wave to another friend. Making my way to Science class.

Well class was… interesting. Ms. Wenchester seem cool even thouh she spent most of the period giving students death glares. To be honest I think some of the students axared me more than Ms. Wenchester did. To think that I could be sitting in class with a vampire gave me the heebie jebbies. I decided to ditch my next class, gym, and walk around outside. For a paranoid girl you sure do spend a lot of time by yourself. I thought. Stupid conscious always trying to contradict me. I exited the school through the backdoor and sat down behind a tree. I silently prayed that no vampires snuck up behind me and try to suck my blood. I pulled out my book, ironically it was a vampire book. Eventually my butt started to hurt so I got up and started walking back towards the school. I passed Tastel, Sarafine, and Chase but the paid me no mind except for Sarafine who gave me a weird look. I started walking a bit faster in the opposite direction.

As I walked to my science class, I grabbed Molly's sleeve and turned her toward me. No matter how much she annoyed me, I had to ask her about this.

"So you don't believe in vampires?" I asked her. "Basically everyone else does."

"Nah," Molly scoffed. "They're all paranoid. Where are you going?"

"Science," I answered. "You?"

"No clue," Molly replied. "See you around." She smacked me on the shoulder and walked down the nearest hallway.

When she was out of sight, I shook my head, chuckling a bit. "Aren't you in for a surprise," I muttered.

As I walked toward science, I noticed that I was following someone--Gray, I think her name was. I walked faster and caught up to her, nodding in greeting.
