If you're going to post a true story, though, you should post it in Nonfiction. Just a little note.

A tortiseshell tom and a tabby tom were throwing Jango around like a jingle-ball! I just noticed this. As far as I know, tortiseshell cats are usually female. Mrrrow!

Verrry interesting. The one small error that I caught was where you said "the last of it's kind". It's is a contraction; "its" means "belonging to it." Otherwise, I think ...

Honestly... I think the whole thing is a little overly dramatic. The main character has just lost his brother... and is taking it out on everyone around him?

I just have one comment. Please, for goodness sake, don't try to put propehsy in rhyme. >

I can't really critique this, so I'll just say that it might be better without the rhyme. It just sounds a bit to forced.
