Across Worlds

I'm doooooone! Woo! I actually finished Tuesday night, but I spent a few days trying to get the perfect last line because the original one I wrote was terrible xD

It's funny how you can start off a novel with one story in mind and then you realize halfway through that you're telling the wrong story. As I was wrapping this up it became apparent that I've really been telling Akia's story the entire time, with Falyn's sprinkled in there occasionally. That's something I'm looking forward to for the second draft though because Akia is awesome ^_^ Anyway, I think I did a good job wrapping up everything I had in mind when I first started. Hopefully.

I split into two parts that ended up being longer than I thought (sorry in advance for the length): Across Worlds - Chapter 43 Part 1 and Across Worlds - Chapter 43 Part 2

So, I had to rearrange a few things to make this chapter work. The last chapter I wrote (chapter 41) is now a single chapter and has a few paragraphs added on that I didn't have last week. Chapter 42 is on the longer side, but I wasn't about to split it into two again. It just didn't seem right. Here's the link: Across Worlds - Chapter 42 . Beware, there could be a lot wrong with it considering I didn't even read it over before submitting. For some reason I couldn't figure out which perspective I needed to write it in. That was the real struggle.

In happy news, next week will be the final week! I have one chapter left to write and I'll post it all at once, in either parts or a single shot. Who knows. I'm almost done and it feels so great! I might even end up posting early in the week because of my excitement :3

Now I need to sleep. I think I might be asleep while writing this actually. So if it this just sounds like rambling or doesn't make sense that would be way.

Basically all of that water that goes around and between the worlds is the Sumner River fyi. Didn't feel like labeling all of them.

I actually didn't procrastinate this week (I don't know what's wrong with me) and finished my entire chapter, so I just posted both parts. There should be two more chapters after this unless I end up extending the fight scene. I won't know until I write it out. As of now, two more chapters and I'm done!! There will be a sequel and maybe more books so don't expect everything to be completely solved yet. That's my kinda sorta spoiler for you guys xD

Also...... I passed 100k words with this chapter! The total word count of my novel so far is 100,895. I'm so beyond excited right now!!

Here's the first chapter in a while that I'm actually proud of. Things are heating up and everything is leading up to the fight. I'm excited to move on after this! I'm sooooo close. (and by 'soooo close' I mean fairly close)

It seems like every time I write a chapter about Falyn, it doesn't live up to my standards. I think I've spent so much time worrying about Akia and the villains that everyone else has been pushed to the side. I want to just quit now and start rewriting. BUT I promised myself I wouldn't do that. As terrible as I think this is getting, I'm going to push through and finish. I have too much pride to quit anyway :3 Or maybe it's just stupid determination...
