hello, i love the changing fonts very much and i enjoyed the poem as well!
This is a topic I've actually been thinking about too. remembering the creator through small things, words, and sights.
This is an abstract concept for me, and I just can't make sense of it. But the thought of a creator somewhere, or perhaps one that encompasses the entire universe, soothes my anxiety and, as you said, helps me calm down. please continue to write more poems :>

Hello! This is an incredible poem! I love it so much. The formatting is unique and fits the tone really well. Like 4revgreen said, the handwriting font gives it a nostalgic feel. (But I still handwrite my notes sometimes). Such a simple lesson from a teacher can stick in a person's memory for years, and I love that you tied it into your faith. Especially since it made a positive impact on you. Those are the best kinds of lessons.

I also love how you play with the formatting in the second stanza, where the different styles work so well together. The second line is bolded and sized up to reflect the anger and stress, "correct" and "incorrect" in respective green and red like how teacher usually mark answers, not to mention the other stylistic choices. It's very creative!

This is such a cool way to display a poem. I absolutely love it. The different fonts really give it that nostalgia, with most of it being written in a 'handwriting' font, like how we would write our work out in school, and the others remind me of word art! It's visually striking and very inventive and shows a progression from childhood to adolescence memories to form a practice that helps ground you -- and I presume helps you identify with your faith, as you mention the Creator, though upon my first read I thought this might have been a reference to the biology teacher! I think now it is clear this practice of finding a pulse is an anchor for a sort of spiritual self-soothing behaviour.

I really love how the word 'erratic' slants forward in a restless and unsettled way, whilst 'puffed up is expressed by a heavy, oppressive font that almost weighs down the line. 'Spiralling into something' uses an old retro and pixelated font that feels disconnected and glitched as well as nostalgic. Using red and green for correct and incorrect shows the anxiety of binary thinking, and the strike-through thought 'mistakes' also visually shows us the anxiety of making mistakes.

I hope you will experiment some more with this form and post more poetry!

It reminds me of how something as simple as pulse can be turned into a beautiful piece of writing.

I also love how you chose to go unconventional with you font, it makes you original and makes your work more engaging.

You really know how to capture simple things, don't you? And yeah I am happy that in tensed moments, it reminds you of your creator, that is a unique way to see it, yes, simple things often point us back to the basics which turn out to be very important; that we were molded by a creator who meticulously worked out our anatomy and Physiology and above all gave as a meaning and purpose to live as we watch our anatomy and Physiology interract in the most fascinating ways, I am happy you are using your life to write about your anatomy and Physiology, keep writing.
