i love it ... so beautiful work ...keep up the good work racket
Thank you!
Love this Poem! I love all your poems! They're SO good!!!!:) The best line, In my opinion, is "I feel they're kind of judgmental" Funny! Friends are judgmental! I guess friends are often trying to always push other friends to the max! "But that's what friends are for."
"They shine your shoes". What do you exactly mean by that? Do you mean they are making you a better person? I love all your rhymes in this poem! You sure have a high vocabulary! How do you come up with these juicy words? I think they are the exact words, like for example, "malicious", you could have used cruel or unkind, but somehow, you got a better word, that even rhymes! You truly are a master at poetry!
The way you write your poems you make it so people can go along for the ride of the beginning and the middle of the story. Then you get the message at the end. It is well writen too. You kind of see people. Like I told you on the way home from school.
Yeah, thank you for reviewing. (If there's anything you don't like, feel free to tell me.)
I loved this! The rhyme gives the narrative voice a child like feel which made me think it was going to be quite a funny, cutesy poem. When this child like voice took such a cynical view of human nature really made it quite chilling, there was no break in the optimistic tone which contrasted the content making the statement about friendship seem mattor of fact and unwavering. I absolutely loved the shoe metaphor and the way you structured it to isolate the final two lines. I really, really enjoyed this, it's an interesting concept with an individual spin. Honestly, I can't think of a fault. I'd love to read more of your work in the future!
Thank you! Since you like this work so much, I have written another one about other teen prblems called "Acne". I also have two other poems, I just don't have enough points to show them yet though. Thank you for reviewing and I'm glad you liked it!

Aww, this poem is really kind and sweet.

"But that's what friends are for.
They shine your shoes."
I loved the metaphor. Literally, friends don't shine your shoes, but with the meaning that your saying that, it makes sense. Friends try to make you a better person. Make you nicer, sweeter and kinder. The way that sentence ends the poem is great. It's true, even though we change friends when we enter different stations of our life. When ever a new friend appears, we always know that if we chose that person, was because of a reason.
"Almost every person in this nation
Has a feeling, a sensation
When they come into the presence of a pleasant person
A friend, they say is what they asked for.
But do they deserve it?"
Sometimes we feel like we don't deserve them. I've felt that way before. I think this stanza adds reality to this amazing poem. I really enjoyed it! It shows what real best friends are!
Keep up the good work!
