Drowning Beauty

-

Beastly, roaring, deadly sea,

Astounding blue with a foamy relief

Its growl overcomes any place for plea

Flaking rocks with waves of grief.

-

Yet the spatter of salty drops,

Touching my yearning skin

with the bracing breath following plops,

entices me towards it, deafening din.

-

Beneath its terrifying visage

there’s a staggering life

a beauty in hands with mirage

as its vive is far from rife.

-

Yet the enchantment is locked

From the eyes of the naïve,

Caged by emotions which cannot be mocked.

Expressed through waves, faced by the brave.

-

Since only some can view the feast

And the wonders that marvel

In the depths of the beast

Shadowing through the tunnel.

-

Beastly, Roaring, Deadly sea,

A drowning Beauty.

As said in the poem, a beauty. It was very nicely worded, and very well written. It was enchantingly beautiful and I would like to read more of your pieces. Any suggestions?????

Thank you!

I have different types of poems. One of my favourite is: Paradisiac doom

However, Paradisiac Doom is completely different than this poem you've just read since it is more complex.
You might also enjoy the works 'Blood tears' and 'Victim'. These have a bit of a depressive edge.
Well, I hope that these works will catch your interest :) Thanks again!

Thanks for telling me about those poems! I'll read them as soon as I can.

Hey, paula08!

Beastly, roaring, deadly sea,

Astounding blue with a foamy relief

Its growl overcomes any place for plea

Flaking rocks with waves of grief.

The first line reminded me of a poem I read when I was doing an English exam. I remember the English teacher telling me this particular poet had done this to list the attributes of the (person). But this can be for, obviously, the sea - which I find lovely. It is like you are personifying the sea and I loved that! Great job.

Yet the spatter of salty drops,

Touching my yearning skin

with the bracing breath following plops,

entices me towards it, deafening din.

I really enjoyed reading the contrast in stanzas. That was superb. I really enjoyed seeing this occurrence. I love it. It was sudden - but you are also showing the flip of the coin so to speak. A variation really shows talent. Well done.

My favourite stanza:
Since only some can view the feast

And the wonders that marvel

In the depths of the beast

Shadowing through the tunnel.

I really enjoyed reading this poem. Well done!

Yours sincerely,
Traunt

Thank you :) I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hello Frostarmor here to review your lovely poem. I love the whole idea of the poem, of beauty being obscure, and the imagery used within it. You used words in a very exquisite fashion, describing it very poetically. I didn't notice really anything wrong with it. It had a topic, great imagery, and usage of words. Definitely one of the better poems I have seen on here, keep writing! :)
