Little Orphan Annie

Little orphan Annie

Wants nothing more than friends,

But she’s teased and hit and kicked and beat,

Her torment never ends.

Today as she was sitting,

She thought “I’m through with this,”

So she picked up her trusty rifle;

Not one head did she miss.

She walked out of that dreary place

Rifle in her hand,

She would travel everywhere,

Even to an unknown land.

But when people saw her face,

Strewn with blood and grime,

They ran and screamed at they saw,

She had obviously committed crime.

She hung her head and walked away,

Until she came upon a tree,

She placed a rope around her neck

And now she’s finally free.

So heed these words and never think

That you’ll always be alone.

Little orphan Annie did

And now she’ll forever be gone.

i must say i love this poem, there is a perfect flowing story with a moral lesson to be learnt. Very inspiring. I like the imagery you used to paint a picture it was awesome. From reading your poem I got the idea that being an orphan is a bad thing, that you end up fighting for attention and that you may end up killing to get it, ever oneself I didn't like that part. but other to that punctuation, vocabulary and sentence construction is good. amazing work. keep up the good work!!! and keep writing :D

DUDE. This was super-intense! I'm sitting here thinking "whoa, someone is thinking outside the universe that the box is existing in."

I like it! :D

Thank you! :)
