Blind

In Lyrics

I think I’m a little misunderstood
I’m not sure how people perceive me
But when I say I don’t think I’m the best
Nobody seems to believe me

Everybody seems to think they know me
But I wonder if they really do
They seem to think they know what’s best for me
But I don’t think that’s really true

I don’t know what I want
I don’t know who I am
I know what I’m scared of
Coz I’m scared of everything
I can’t make decisions
I can’t make up my mind
I don’t know where to turn next
It’s just like I’m blind

I’m too afraid to follow my dreams
Coz they’re all too far fetched
There’s bound to be someone better than me
I’ll settle for second best

I realised why no one understands me
I don’t even understand myself
Why do I ask everyone’s opinion?
When I know that no one can help

I don’t know what I want
I don’t know who I am
I know what I’m scared of
Coz I’m scared of everything
I can’t make decisions
I can’t make up my mind
I don’t know where to turn next
It’s just like I’m blind

Everyone puts in their two cents
But I know it’s all up to me
But I think I’ll take my time choosing
Who I’m going to be

I don’t know what I want
I don’t know who I am
I know what I’m scared of
Coz I’m scared of everything
I can’t make decisions
I can’t make up my mind
I don’t know where to turn next
It’s just like I’m blind

I agree with MickeysTWin. I know how it feels to be confused about life and I defiantly know how it feels to be blind (had to wear a scarf around my eyes for three days... don't ask)
Anyway, good lyrics, strong structure and generally an impressive song :)

I love this poem, because I know exactly how it feels. You want so deeply to understand everything, but yet you don't even understand yourself. You view yourself a second-best, because your too sacred of being first. I love this poem, and hope that someday both of us will not only understand ourselves, but how others see us as well.
