The wind is drying my tears
Something is telling me that I need to be
Out there on the stage. For filling my density
Instead of thinking about what’s going to happen or if they like me or not
I don’t want to leave no regrets, when I leave this world
So im going to live this day like there’s no tomorrow
I take a little step at a time.
But Fear crosses my mind.
I panic but I say no.
Im taking myself to the top.
Nobody’s going to stop me
For what I want to do with my life.
Since I control everything I do
So I’m taking an extra step
Because this is my time
My time to shine.
I only got one chance to put on a show.
So I turned up the radio, and I heard my momma’s voice
Saying, “Fancy this is your chance, don’t let me down”
So I took another step up on the stage I went.
I was scared at first but then I remembered
God didn’t put fear in me.
So I jumped over the fear, which was cause me to go down
So when I took the jump, it took me in many different ways
Up and down, side to side, all around but I stuck in there and I found myself on Stage.
Living my dream, making my dream come to reality

Hey! Just wanted to say I love your poem! The first line immediately got me hooked! Keep up the good work! I love it how you use god in your poem but not making it in religious in anyway no offence against anyone! But personifying fear was also good saying you jumped over this person that is Fear... I'm not sure if that makes much sense anyway I really liked that literary device! And I can totally relate to it I feel like this everyday but we really should live our life in the moment because that's where we live in the present! We shouldn't live in the future or the past! But in the now! I really liked that you were talking about moving forward!
Greetings Philip!
This was written with such emotion. How beautiful it is! You are an amazing writer, and what you wrote here is pure evidence that you will get far in your writing. I feel like a lot of people struggle with handling their fear today, for different things. It could be forgiveness, or trying something they've never done before.

I really believe that this poem is so encouraging and just gives people that little boost they need when they are already drowning in their fears. And people need to realise that yes- it does take one step at a time.
Loved this so much, I can't wait to read more!
Tigerlilly here for a review!
I love this poem! It is beautifully written, and I love how the narrator gets over their fears to follow their dreams. Its just a really uplifting poem, and it makes me want to go out and chase my own dreams!
I really like how you said they take one step at a time, an its true. Sometimes things just need to be taken one small step at a time.
Overall, this was an amazing poem! Good job! I look forward to seeing more of your work.
