Like a lonely star on a quiet night
A lowly prince is birthed.
He sleeps below the starlight night,
Bringing peace to earth.
-------
'Round His helpless forms there waits
The shepherds of the night
Hearing the glad tidings they
Have come to see this sight.
-------
Wise kings from distant lands traverse
The barren hills and dales
To bow before the King of earth
His glory, they do hail.
-------
The gentle babe lies sleeping sound
Within His tiny bed
While heav'nly angels gather round
And kneel beside His head.
-------
His virgin mother holds Him close
And sings a lullaby
Filling sweet the hearts of those
Who worship closely by.
-------
Ne'er before this quiet eve
Had such a thing occurred
Ne'er before, since Adam and Eve
Had God returned to earth.

Hello!

Jesus truly IS the reason for the season.
I couldn't really find anything to correct in this!
Except maybe put a comma/period when needed at the end of the lines when needed-
(you really shouldn't take punctuation advice from me...
) Other than that, this was beautiful. The title really fit as well!
Great job, and keep writing!!

I absolutely LOVE how you wrote this poem, and the reason behind it too.
"Ne'er before this quiet eve,
had such a thing occurred.
Ne'er before, since Adam and Eve
had God returned to earth."
But I don't think it is wrong the way you put it.

Stay Awesome
Hi,

First of all, wow, this was such a beautiful poem! I'm not a Christian myself but this really brought the true meaning of Christmas to the fore for me. There are no spelling, punctuation or grammatical errors as far as I can see, so well done! It was truly lovely, I can find absolutely no fault with it whatsoever. You are clearly very talented and have a great way with words.
I look forward to reading more of your work, and feel free to take a look at mine if the wish arises!
Sorry this was so short, but in this case it's a good thing because there were no faults to discuss.

HEY

First off this was so refreshing! On here you see all these cynical poems/stories about Christmas how everything is terrible and bad. You brought to life the true meaning and I love that!!
I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. I can defiantly sense the presents of the lord in your writing! You truly have a gift.
I can wait to read more of your works
- Merry Christmas
p.s sorry I couldn't have been more help!
