Hi guys. This is my first attempts at wrting a theme song for a character. I started developing a liking for my current main character so I thought I should write this. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to flame me for my newbieness at writing lyrics for a song lol. This song follows a slow tune (like Into the West-Lord of the Rings)

Pikara’s theme: The Moon Plains

Once a starry night,
When the gale swept through the plains
When I walk in the light of the moon
I stop, I stare
To the stars in the sky

For my love goes on
In the darkness of the plains
Tormented by the hatred
Of the love I profess
For it lurks in the darkness
Of the Moon Plains
Extinguishing the light
Of the pure of heart
But no matter how strong the hatred was
My love will always go on…
(chorus)

Once a cloudy night,
When the sky was blanketed by storm clouds
When I walk in the torrential downpour
I stop, I cower
To the crackling of thunder
(To chorus)

Once a cold night,
When an icy sleet covers the lush grass
When I walk thorough the shroud of mist
I stop…
I freeze…
I fall…

…But my love goes on in
In the darkness of the plains
Tormented by the hatred
Of the love I profess
For it lurks in the darkness
Of the Moon Plains
Extinguishing the light
Of the pure of heart
But no matter how strong the hatred was
My love will always go on…

(Repeat chorus 3 times)

This could easily be a theme song to an anime, I think. Don't quote me on that
though.

Nice song especially for a ballad eventhough I'm not much of a fan of it...

Lol. Nice song. Found it a bit hard to sing at points but I thought it generally reflected your character.

That was pretty good. Wasn't the usual lyrics you would expect, because this one almost read as a poem. Add just a bit more rhythm by making inner rhymes and the stressed syllables paralleled, etc. Otherwise, it was really good. Hard to sing though.

I was there when you started writing that :D

I really liked it, I tried singing it like a ballad and I would say it's pretty good. My opinion.

It'd definitely be something I'd sing as a ballad and I wouldn't mind writing a guitar part for it ;)

I think the chorus has quite a nice rhythm to it. The words themselves need a little work and the verses could be better but I like it. What sort of tune would go with it? I think of flutes and such but I'd like to know what you had in mind when writing it...
