By the window is a chair
it’s cozy to be seated there.
Cat tree planted next to me
sleeping cat it's bought to bear.
My coffee is half finished,
half heated, still half full.
Shifting in my seat,
I lean to take another pull.
Tasks I could be doing,
expectations yet to fill.
I’d really rather sit here,
drink in the moment still.

Hellow Mooilky! Trinity here with a short review~
It also perfectly encapsulates what you were saying and the feeling that one gets in this situation.I've got to say I have defiantly felt this a lot. The dread of starting work @-@
But you put it wonderfully. The rhyming scheme fit the setting perfectly~ I also love the way the ending sounds
The only thing that was sort of confusing but not a problem(I'm just dumb) Was when you said I had to read it over several times and I never figured it out XD (again probably just my fault) But it also just didn't go well with the rest of the bit there. But I can also se the need for a rhyme.
Anyway, I loved your work, keep it up!

Hello! Thank you for your review!
The cat tree line is pretty complex so I totally get not understanding it.
I was trying to play with the idea that though a cat tree is a toy/structure for cats, some trees bear fruit. So if a cat tree bore fruit, the fruit would be a cat right? So we bought the cat tree for the cat to lay on. And she was laying on it when I wrote the poem. The cat tree was %u201Cplanted%u201D next to me, and the fruit (cat) was there.
Thank you again for your review!
Hello Mooilky,

and you are definitely capable of enjoying those little moments of serenity like sipping your morning coffee looking from the window.. It comes as no surprise you don't wanna leave that moment.
this is my two cents/little review.
First of, I would like to say, I really enjoyed your poem.
I think it is a really nice work, I don't know why but it reminds me of some poems of Robert Louis Stevenson which means you are a gifted writer indeed!
I love both rhytm and melody of this poem, the first four lines are just amazing:
By the window is a chair
it’s cozy to be seated there.
Cat tree planted next to me
sleeping cat it's bought to bear.
I also liked the message, it shows you are probably not ecstatic about your job (how many people are, anyways
Hey there, It's Sofie with a review

Wow, this poem is short, but packed such a powerful punch. In just a few short lines, you manage to capture the draining -both mentally and physically - nature of the nine to five work life. I can hear the phones ringing. I can hear papers rustling and computer keyboards tapping. I can see dim florescent lighting. I can smell stale coffee. Brilliant! You so managed to put us into the room. I, personally, find it super relatable. We have all felt like this at one point or another. Great job! Keep writing, I can't wait to read more of your stuff
Hello, this is just a short and positive review that fits the poem to a tea.
First off I love how short and sweet this poem is. Also even though you rhymed it still seemed casual and low-key. It has a really nice rhythm, especially in the line "My coffee is half-finished,
half heated, still half full". The atmosphere you created with imagery is really strong and easily relatable.
Overall, this is great. I didn't find any of the common things like awkward line breaks or grammar issues. I'd love to read more of your work, bye!!
We all want to go the lazy route and just relax,to forget the demands of real life,to wind down and be content.I’d say this relates to a lot of us,because we’ve all had this feeling. The poem itself was cute and funny.I enjoyed this a lot.I hope that you will have a sweet and cool day and night.
Hi! I'm here with another, really quick review. Today, let's take a look at this wonderful poem right here, which you claim to have written since you were late to work today. I must say, using your time to write is much, much more fun than spending it working, but lets just skip over that part, since, it'll reveal a bit too much about times.. I forgot to work.
Anyways, lets talk about imagery. You use simple imagery, and that's okay. You use simple words and the whole poem reads like a very clear stream-of-consciousness diary entry boiled down into poetry. Passing through the motions in action is much better, so that's a point on you.
I really like what I visualize when I read this poem. I envision a young person in their 20s just leaning in and cozying up after they've did a little too much heavy lifting.
Overall, I really like how you wrote this poem!
