How Can We Repay

In Poetry

How can we repay the
gift that He gave, to teach
the world a better way?

How can we repay for what
He has done, He sent to us
His only son.

Now on the cross this life He
fought, so we could see our
lives were bought.

He paid a price that
we could not, so we know
all was not lost.

To show us that it's not too late
to stop the pride, murder and hate.
To teach us not just to take,
but also give from our own plates.

How can we repay the role that He played?
How can we repay the life that He gave?
To teach those around us they can still
be saved.

Because we know there's no
other way.

This is a very nice poem, and I am reviewing it from a Christian point of view. You have seperated your work into little chunks, each with a rhyming couplet. What I suggest is start a new line after every rhyming word. I think this suggestion would make the work make more poetic sense and help the piece flow. As for the message I wholly agree.
God Bless,
Take That You Fiend!

This was so awesome!! I believe every word, that Jesus was the only one that could die for us and that he is the only way. Everything flows very smoothly together and I don't see anything wrong with it. I especially liked these lines;

"To show us that it's not too late
to stop the pride, murder and hate.
To teach us not just to take,
but also give from our own plates."

I love the rhyming too. Makes it even better. Keep writing! :)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the rhyme its my first time using constant rhyme :L

As usual amazing <333

Rhyme and rhythm was brilliant! There was just one awkward line.

"He paid a price that
we could not, so we know
all was not lost."

So we would know all was not lost? One more syllable is needed.

Hello, InfinityandBeyond.

I really like your poem. I find it interesting because honestly, I am Christian so I think about these kinds of questions from time to time when I have nothing else to think about.

How can we repay the role that He played?
How can we repay the life that He gave?
To teach those around us they can still
be saved.

This part of the poem really got me interested. You should keep writing more! Keep up the good work!

Hmm.......Awesome Poem well I see you referring people fought for all of the sins we have or Jesus save our sins and our lives. And your poem also telling us that how we can repay for all he did to us.And we should also thank him for letting us be in the world.

The best part I like is:

To show us that it's not too late
to stop the pride, murder and hate.
To teach us not just to take,
but also give from our own plates.

How can we repay the role that He played?
How can we repay the life that He gave?
To teach those around us they can still
be saved.

Because we know there's no
other way.

It Because it telling us nothing is too late to stop all of the pride murder and hates.

Well other than that keep up the good work.

I think the person you are talking about is Jesus? But in my mind it comes across as Batman in The Dark Knight Rises. The poem has been well thought out and also has been set out in an easy to read, simple manner. I congratulate you on this fantastic poem and hope that you can develop some more Batman like poetry. :)

Haha, interpret it how you like and thank you!
