Well, your poem It Started Out Blue made me want to read more, and this had a capturing title, so here I go......
That made it sound like I was going to give a super long review. Actually, I only have one or two nitpicks.
1) Old yes, but a friend it is not.
There should be a comma between old and yes.
Old, yes, but a friend it is not.
2) Oh, how it likes the pretty things -but it takes too much and destroys them in its anger.
Maybe take away the 'the' before pretty things?
Oh, how it likes pretty things.....etc.
I have to say, this poem had a curious effect on me. It wasn't exactly complaining, nor stating, and by the end you wrap it up in something resembling despair. In the beginning, the narrator sounds more like their stating something that sucks about their life. Towards the middle, it almost seems like they're mocking the darkness, or pitying how it is so....immaturely inadequate?
By the end, the narrator seems to be despairing; despite how he/she/it mocks the darkness, the darkness will always be a terrible part of them.
Interesting piece of work you have here. Overall rating: 7/10. Keep writing, you're talented.
+1
Thank you. I'll be sure to make those changes. Now your observation... it had me grinning from ear to ear.
Thanks! I'm glad I got you grinning
Keep writing!
For being so short it was a great story. You managed to piece together a well done narrative in such limited space that you didn't need to expand upon it. I also enjoy how the character comes to terms with the darkness in the end rather than continue to fight it. It gives off a feeling of despair as you read it and really leaves you thinking when you finish it. Great story, I hope to see more like it.
Thank you! I appreciate your review.
Hmm. I might add some more to this. I'm debating...
Hello-
This story is pretty cool! You do a great job putting a story into such a short few paragraphs. I agree with mynameswriter that a backstory would be nice, but it’s short enough that I think you can get away with not having one. It’s very simple, but the story flows nicely. I like the line “It has always been there, collecting our fallen stars, hoarding them away for itself.” I like your word choice here. Wonderful story, keep up the great work!

Aw, Danka!
Yes it does seem to be missing something i'll agree with that, but i just can't figure it out. Oh wait i found it! Back story! an explanation to why someone is feeling this. And add some detail to.It is good i liked it but it could definitely use that. I think that it definitely holds the emotion that a reader wants to feel. You should explain what the darkness is doing a little more too. I didn't find any other real errors. if you count a lack of a back story as an error. Other than that great job and keep writing!
Ha, yeah... the back story seems to be my issue here...
Oh my goodness, so dark, but so good! Haha.
Very short, but I'm surprised how much you can put in just this little. Death and tragedy and even a melancholy rejoicing in so little. I can tell what you mean by lacking something, but I just can't put my finger on it. However, let me attempt it.
I think you could have filled this story so much by adding just a bit back story before your last sentence. You could've added the struggles your character has seen before, what they have survived, what they have endured.
I didn't spot anything grammatically incorrect, so great job on that.
Very good, but to make it better, just revise and add a bit.
Okay, thanks! ^-^ Hmm... back story...
