You're being followed.
İt's not a thief, a rapist, or anything tangible in your world.
But wait, you don't really believe in the supernatural, right? You like to lose yourself in accounts of the supernatural, but in the depths of your brain, you know that it's not "scientifically possible." There's always been an explanation for those things, right? That ringing in your ears is called "tinnitus", and is a "normal" reaction to the absence of aural stimuli. That figure you see out of the corner of your eye is just an illusion due to the bending of light. The figures that appear when you look into the mirror at night are just results of low light intensity. This is what you've been told your entire life.
Then how is it that these stimuli seem to bother you so much? I know you've sat awake, feeling terrified for no reason on some nights. I know you've hid under your covers, terrified of what you might see if you looked up. I know there have been times a fleeting vision, perhaps a humanoid shape you momentarily saw, left you shocked and apprehensive.
İt has been isolating you, making you vulnerable to İts attacks. İt likes it better when you're scared. It's the figure you see out of the corner of your eye, that blurred shape you see after rubbing your eyes, the ringing you have in your ears. These are neither physiological not illusional in your case. These are symptoms, showing your mark for death.
I'm putting myself in grave danger telling you this, but I'm tired of seeing life suffer in Its hands.
I know where this is posted. I know there are other, much more well-written texts here that you might prefer to read. You might dismiss this text as it lacks the literary flow which you so crave. I'm not allowed to engage in direct communication with you. I can only post a wall of text where I'm sure you'll see it. I'm afraid this is all you're getting. Just listen to me.
I know of your interest in the occult and the supernatural. I know of the hours you've spent poring over accounts of the unexplained and the frightening. I know of the nights you spent contemplating the reality of the things you've seen and I know of the amount of sleep you lost due to fear.
It likes the curious. You've made yourself vulnerable.
There is only one thing you can do about it. First, you must g

Sorry it was meant to be a review lol

The title was eye-catching and bold, forcing me to read this piece and I not at all disappointed with this piece, although reading this genre is far from my normal novels such as romances, I really enjoyed it due the suspense and mystery surrounding the supernatural. The many short sentences used increased the intensity, and kept me wanting to read more.
A tip that I would suggest is to stick to your story that you are writing about a bit more, as the story wandered off a little bit and I was a bit confused about where the story was heading sometimes.
PS I adore your profile picture of the animated cat:)
Very interesting perspective. The subject isn't necessarily my favorite, but it's handled amazingly. Very good suspense factor.
Hi Desdemonda!

Hope you're doing well today or tonight, depending on what side of the world you're on, obviously. I'm here to give you a review to get this piece out of the Green Room. Let's get started, now, shall we?
Alright!
So, I like how this is second person. I haven't read many stories that were with second person, but this one is. It's quite hard to do it -- I find -- but you pulled it off, my friend, and that too, in the best possible way!
If you meant to give people the chills while they were reading, you succeeded, Desdemonda. Very much succeeded. You kept up with the second person, the chills, the haunting feeling of it all, and I'd like to say... Bravo!
Now, you had a great plot, and I understand that well, but, like your previous reviewer, @Elinor said, it does feel like there's a part of the story that's missing. A missing piece to a puzzle. Honestly, I can't figure out what exactly is the "missing" piece, but I hope you figure it out somehow!
The bold word is actually meant to be "nor". That would actually make more sense than "not". So then, it'd be like this:
I hope that makes sense!
Overall, this was quiet a thrilling short story and I hope to see more from you soon. Hopefully, my review was helpful in some sort of way. Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me whenever you wish!
Keep on writing!

Hi Desdemona!
My name is Elinor, and I hope you're enjoying your Monday. I thought I'd drop by to give you a quick review.
I was curious when you writing this if you were inspired by Lemony Snicket and The Series of Unfortunate Events at all, because that's very much what the writing style of this piece reminded me of. Second person can be very difficult to pull off but it's also quite effective when done well. In this piece, you've definitely succeeded at making feel.
However, I think I'm a bit surprised that this, as far as I know, is supposed to be a standalone story. It feels like there's a piece of the story that we're not getting here. In a way, that adds to its allure. But I want to know why "I" am suspicious! You say that the beginning that I don't believe in the supernatural but I'm interested in it. This is a really interesting idea but I wanted more. I also wanted to know more about this world. Is it our everyday world? Something different? Who am "I"? Who are "you"?
Overall, I think this is a very effective story. You have a nice writing style, and I enjoyed reading it. You're very effective at evoking a feeling.
I hope this helps! Please keep writing, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.
Cheers!
Elinor
