Let's walk up to the basin,
and hope no one watches us.
For we must wash in secrecy,
without noticing our identities.
This is where we swim.
May the river flow again.
No need to destroy our tribe,
or start painting the river bed.
I remember you well.
I remember here.
Keep your lips sealed.
Keep to the fields.
There are no more distinctions.
The river is just what it is.
No need to complain or want more,
because that's just not possible.
This is where we swim.
May the river flow again.
No need to destroy our tribe,
or contemplate destruction.
I remember you well, my love.
A thousand times I've slept.
Keep your lips sealed.
Keep to the fields.
River delta.
River delta, flow.
There are no more distinctions.
The river is just what it is.
No need to complain or want more,
because that's just not possible.
I remember you well, my love.
A thousand times I've slept.
Keep your lips sealed.
Keep to the fields.
River delta.
River delta, flow.
Rely on photos, pages, books,
for what I care it was real.
I saw it with my own eye.
Why would I lie to you?
I'm walking down the flood plains,
and awaiting your arrival.
No one comes here often.
For very good reason.
I remember you well, so well.
I remember here so well.
Keep your lips sealed.
Keep to the fields.
River delta.
River delta, flow.
River delta.
River delta, flow.
Hello.
I wans't sure what to make of this work at the first, you know, whwther to take it literally or metaphorically. There can be sometimes be a lot of double entendre's in your work. And I feel like this isn't actually one of those occasions because I took it literally.
There is a sense of abandonemnt in this work, and false hope. Like the character is fed up, but is still clinging onto the movement of the river as some sort of allegorical movement for his life or his love.
This work is also hopelessly romantic. Well done.
I'm not sure if I understand the meaning of this or not. The flow of this is a bit choppy, I think. None of the words quite go together. It seems as if the whole thing is centered around a memory...? If not, then I'm interpreting this wrong xD Sorry. I just don't quite get this one. Perhaps you could shine a little light on the situation?
Was this meant to read 'must wash in secrecy'?
Yes. It was. But I was rushing XD
Don't ask why, though >.<
