Ready for another National Poetry Month! My goal is 30 poems. I'm not going to commit to any theme yet, though there are few turning around in my mind. I'll probably just follow where the poetry goes. I'm looking forward to reading what everyone else comes up with, and wish you luck in your own NaPo journey!

These are so beautiful, alliyah! I absolutely love ungrown soil | planting poetry, the line "metaphors that extend off the paper and stretch-back around but never quite / resolve themselves" is so true, and I really like the effect of the line break there. And I love the rhythm and sentiment of unpulled weeds, the line "the wrong side of an unbalanced pros and cons list" hit hard.

I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart; I am, I am, I am.
