14 Word Story Contest!

YWS's 14th birthday is fast approaching...



The Challenge

Pretty much what it says on the tin! Write a story that is exactly 14 words (no more, no less!) and post it into this thread. You can approach the story in any way you like. It could be about YWS. It could be about you. It could be about horror, about fantasy, about anything you can squeeze into this rather limited limit - we only ask that you keep it kid-friendly (i.e, no stories that would be rated above 12+, please!)

That's the sort of thing I'm after! And I'm glad you like the challenge!

It needs to have a definite ending? The thing I just posted didn't. XD

I think you'll find it pretty hard to pack a definite ending into something so short. There's no correct way to do a task like this, really.

Okay! I will leave that one up for consideration then!

Motivated by injustice, hatred, and prejudice,
she raised her pen
and changed the world.

Can we do more than one?

We fell in love,
We didn't know we would fall
so hard in love.



(Sorry if this is bad, I had an idea and I had to write it down. )

Was pursuing her life's love. Found spouse, but no publishing deal. Wants a refund.

He smiled, her whole world changed. She didn't know it was for the worse.

"Good grief," the scientist muttered. "Destroying the world was not in my evening plans."

@FireSpyGirl, you can do more than one, but I'll cap the limit at 3 entries. And it's also worth mentioning that you can only place once, i.e. you can't come both second and third with different stories, for example. But up to 3 entries is fine by me!
