Good idea! I just think it would be great to celebrate people's progress! So liking the progress and celebrations for the finishing challenges ^^

Could we maybe add a way to filter the past literary spotlights in the archives? I mean it already is 90% poetry so I would like to look at what was highlighted in the past that ISN'T poetry :3

Random site suggestions -

Not sure if this is possible - but a suggestion - it would be neat if right by the word 'Green Room' on the top right tab if you could see how many works are currently in the Green Room. I think it would keep it in our minds even more, and help on Review Day when we're trying to clear it too! So right now it would read "Green Room (2)".

2nd suggestion - in the User Control Panel where it says "x reviews until your next star" what if you could click that so that it led to your article about the different star levels? topic/56612-thanks-snoink-more-review-stars

I also want to revisit a suggestion I made a few years ago re: stars -> is there any possibility that all users who reach the insanely impressive Snoink-level of 3350 reviews could get a custom star option? I ask this because presumably we are on our way to having one more user reach that, and maybe it would push just a little extra motivation for those reviewers that truly go above and beyond. not at all motivated by the prospect of dark cyan chickens or little A's

On home page under the summary of the "The Feed" it says "review posted | read work" - it looks like I should be able to click "read work" but it does not allow that, the same with "open discussion".

Thanks for considering! Also I'm not sure if you've been playing with some of the font sizes again or I'm just seeing things on different devices, but finding the font very comfortable to read throughout the site.

Could we add a shadow behind, or an outline, to the review stars on our profiles? They're so hard to see sometimes! I know we have the option for the banner gradient, but I don't want to compromise my banner to make my stars more visible, since sometimes the stars are only clear to see with the dark gradient.

I am not sure if this is a bug or just an issue on my end, but I no longer get notifications if I refresh my YWS window. For example, I am on YWS, then go to a different tab to work on something for 30 minutes. I click back to the YWS window to check notifications and refresh the page, and it will show no new notifications on the bell icon. I only see them if I click into the notifications bar itself. I have only noticed this with the recent changes. Not sure if anyone else has this but thought I'd mention it.

I heard some members (and experienced it myself a while back) lose their unsaved blog enteries, is their a way to extend autosave there? Same goes for wallposts or replies to reviews.
Also the formatting options aren't visible when editing something like a wallpost, can that be changed?

have you thought about putting people's writer's log entries (the ones that show up on the people tab) on their personal walls as well? that might show a different dimension to what people are up to on their walls, a lot of them are mostly writing / not really wall posting

I was wondering if we could make notifs about people liking forum posts optional? or do away with them? It's just that they have a tendency to blow up the notifs page and make it harder to navigate a larger volume of notifs and I personally don't see them as adding any particular value.

I like them, too. A toggle on/off option would be great, but I have no idea how much work that would entail.

Allowing individuals to customize the notifications they get is a good idea, but it's just not possible. Even though the code for YWS has been substantially modernized, it's still phpBB 3.0.14 at the core, and that version of phpBB had no support for notifications. As a result, the whole system was tacked on, and any sort of individual customization would cause substantial server load issues. At some point, I do want to overhaul it, but that's a huge project, and likely to break a lot of things.


@EllieMae ->> Is that an issue you're still running into? There were some issues with notifications early last week, but any issues should be resolved now.

@AlexWrites ->> Unfortunately, it's more likely that I'll simply delete the blogs section than do any more code updates to that area.
