  • Sooo....

    I'm still alive....

    Spoiler! :
Life has just been hard and hectic and it will be till my CLAT papers in december 2025.

My schedule is just overloaded - I'm doing school plus close to five six hours of coaching studies everyday and I'm just absolutely mentally exhausted by the time I'm done I have zero motivation to write or even open the site for that matter.

But I feel guilty T-T so while I can't write (it's too stressful and mentally taxing and I have no time) I will try to be more active. I'll be around write a review whenever I feel up for it, just lurk, hang in the people's tab and randomosity, maybe I'll post an art thread....

goodolnoah it is truly nothing to worry about! I feel you as well, I just picked up a second job and sometimes things get pretty hectic. When I get home I don't have much motivation to write.

CLAT papers sound pretty important too...I wish you luck!

  • Okay so I have a question, I've been trying to put a gap between two sentences like
    [1 enter]
    [2 enter]
    [3 enter]
this, but it doesn't work, after I publish the work it just goes back to
    like
    [1 enter]
    this.

Somehow, it seems to work (after a criminal amount of effort) in poems where I centre-align my text but it just doesn't work otherwise. Anybody have an idea as to how I can fix this? It's really annoying me.

RavenAkuma I think I know what you're talking about. Sometimes YWS will just remove "empty" lines (which is really annoying). I usually fix that by just inserting a few spaces on the line, so it looks blank but it won't read as empty and get deleted, if that makes sense?

khushi17bansal :O I never thought of that! Thanks!

My friends say I write too many notes, but I rather like seeing my handwriting sprawl all over the page - it makes me feel wise.

  • I was writing a review today and I wanted to quote text and make the same text a different colour. I wrote and submitted it.

When I look back on my review I see that the colour code has not worked.

    I'm absolutely baffled.

It's always worked before, why not now?

I try everything, I change the colour, I put the quote code inside the colour code, I put the colour code outside the quote code. I remove the quote code entirely. I change the colour again.

    It just doesn't work.

I open the Big Book Of YWS Codes thead and I check.

    My code is perfectly fine!

    Why is it not working?

I look at the codes on the thread again.

    Ding!

    Image

The code spells colour without a u.

khushi17bansal That's what I get for typing instead of copy pasting.

  • I'm severely sleep deprived.

    Spoiler! :

    It's 3am here.

I've reached the point where I'm too tired to sleep.

School and CLAT coaching have started.

    Have to get serious now.

Time just flies by, it leaves you hanging. You don't even realise till it's too late.

I have no idea what's going on.

    OrabellaAvenue Nooo! Go to sleep!!

Hope things get better for you. <333

  • HELLO. very late welcome to yws. I'm Avian, formerly known as avianwings47. Drastic difference, I know. I hope you stick around!
(Don't mind me, just stalking your portfolio rq)

khushi17bansal Hello! Thanks for the welcome! As far as stalking someone's profile is concerned I'm afraid I've done plenty of that myself XD

  • Haha, I've already dropped out of Team Tortoise πŸ˜‚

Not surprised at all, one review a day is a little too much for me. I'm more of a one review every three-four days kind of a person.

BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE COMPETING!!!

I'll be cheering for all of you from the sidelines! πŸ˜„

DreamyAlice That's totally fine! You can try it in any month when you feel like it, it's the best thing that you tried<3

And also you can still keep reviewing to help us find the goslings and help your team!

  • Chapter 5 of Mage is up!!😁 (Feel free to leave a comment/review/suggestion!)

I realise I probably should give some information about what Mage is actually about so, here, is its introduction.

    Spoiler! :
Ancient India is a magical place, rich, opulent and brutal. The high class of people, the nobles, are rich, powerful, power hungry, cutthroat, for nobody survives by being content or satisfied. They vey for power and plot to overthrow each other and the king. They plan and scheme to earn money, closely guard their secrets. They are selfish, unscrupulous and ethicless. They will do anything to get their bloodline and house to the top. A select few have a secret weapon, a wild card. Some say an equalizer and some say a monopoly giver.

Some are magical, some are mages practiced in the ancient art of sorcery. It is one’s greatest weapon, one closely held, fanatically guarded, obsessively practised and honed.

All are out for blood and all are out for power. All are waiting to wrest the throne and the power from each other’s desperate hands.

There has been no war for years and the royals and nobles are getting restless, the game has begun, the move has been made. The rule book is but one word, win.

There are only five monopolistic high houses, they manipulate each other and lower houses to gain favour, popularity, money and most importantly, power.

It is power that is coveted, it is knowledge that is hoarded, it is weapons that are honed and it is people that must be beaten.

At the end of my novel, blood soaked history will be made and the Kingdom will have a new ruler.

You can find Chapter 5 here and Chapter 1 here.

I understand what you're saying, and your comments are valuable, but I'm gonna ignore your advice.
