*Firestalker - I didn't lose track of my characters, I was just confused*

Calli

"Where are we going again?" I asked Burns.

"I don't know, but we've got to go," he said, dragging me along by my wrist. Running wasn't exactly my favorite pass-time, and I hated running away from a fight, but some people are just luckier than others. Burns didn't seem to have any trouble running, and his mutt kept pretty good pace with us too. We finally stopped by a green, trash-filled stream. There was a shack on the other side, and it looked like the sun was setting.

"We're staying here?" I asked incredulously.

"For now," Burns replied.

I grumbled angrily and waded into the knee-deep stream. All around me the water began to clear. I'd never known where all the filth goes, but I'd learned not to stay in the disgusting water too long, or I would end up sick. "Come on, let's go," I grumbled, pulling myself out on the other side.

Burns and his dog crossed the stream where the water was pristine and clear (also known as, the place I'd just walked through). Shay shook himself like any other dog would, and Burns followed me into the shack. It was dank, nasty and filled with leaves and dirt.

"Temporary home-sweet-home," I said sarcastically, kicking a pile of leaves. I glanced at Burns, who was already turning a pile of leaves into some sort of bed. "Not much of a talker, are you?" I tried to copy his method with making the leaves into a bed, but mine looked no better than it had before. Sighing, I pulled the hood of my sweatshirt up over my head and flopped down on the leaves, cringing when my butt contacted the floor. "Got anything to eat?"

"No. Do you think there would be any fish in that stream, dead or alive?" he replied.

I rolled my eyes. "Heck no. Didn't you see how nasty that creek was?" I said.

"Not exactly. I can't see."

I raised an eyebrow. "No lie? Wow, y'know, for not being able to see, you're a pretty dang good fighter."
I gave up telling people I hear voices. So now I talk to the voices instead.

Name: Comm. Maya Blackwood

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Description:
*Since Maya was injected with the wolf mutant gene, she does not look normal. She is kind of a werewolf, but not in the mystical turn into a full wolf kind of way. Instead, the gene lies dormant under her skin until she flares it, and then mutliple changes take place. She looks mostly normal when the gene isn't triggered, except she still has the hungry wolf look in her eyes. When the gene is dormant, she is 6'0 with white blonde hair and golden wolf eyes. When the gene is dormant though, she still posseses extremely quick reflexes and speed, along with strength.
*When the gene is flared, Blackwood grows deadly wolf fangs along with wolf claws from her fingernails and tonenails. Although she still posses human shape, long white hair covers her body in only a second and her ears change into wolf ears. Also, she grows a snout. Now, once she triggers the gene, she cannot suppress it for at least two days and she'll be forced to remain in this odd form for awhile.
*This odd combination of mutant wolf and human genes makes her perfecly suited for the toxic enviroment.
*Also, the mutant gene allows her to heal very quickly.

Personality: Comm. Blackwood has the personality of a wolf basically. Even when seh was a human, she was fierce and cunning. She's extremely determined once she gets her mind set on a cause, and even when she's in human form there's something incredible terrifying about her. Simply said, she's not one to be messed with.

Power: She's incredibly quick and strong and will stop at nothing to kill. She also heals so fast that it's almost impossible to kill her.

Weakness/Strengths:
Her strengths are her persistance and wit.
While her overcalculation and generalizing are her weaknesses.

Short Bio: Comm. Blackwood was involuntarily given the gene at a secret research facility. The scientists there chose her because she was in the military and through numerous pysch evalutaions it was decided she and a few others would deal the best with it. The goal of the scientists was to create a fierce killer that could think clearly and stilll survive the harsh enviroment. They underestimated the power of the killers they created though, and Blackwood led the fight against them. After the scientists were killed, and the Arcs had already left, Comm. Blackwood vowed to her numerous wolfy followers she would retake the planet for them. No human should ever have a reason to return, and she was going to make it like that.

Weapon: (not obligatory) She carries a pistol that she stole of a dead guard from the lab.

*Guys, I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my last post, I was just a little annoyed and bad tempered at that time, So if any of you have any hard feelings, please don't let those feelings get the best of you, I didn't mean to offend any of you. So I humbly apologize to anyone who took my post as an offend. The End. :P :P  *

Zire

I walked for gods know how long, looking for wood. I should have known before setting off that my job was going to be very futile. I could not find any wood anywhere, apart from some occasional twigs which i had no use of whatsoever.

It was when I was walking back to the tree, following the marking I had made to find my way back when I heard a human voice. A human voice that seemed hissed like a snake and then transformed into that close to the bark of a raving animal. Then it turned back to that of a human. I followed it slowly, careful so i would not lose my way.

It was indeed a humanoid figure that I saw near a large cave entrance. The man was talking to one of the mutants. He was young and had black sleek hair. From my distance I could guess that he was a little thin for his age and had an average height. It was only after staring at him for a while did I realize two pointy ears on his head like that of a cats. I kept staring in amazement when suddenly he turned towards me. In the same moment I hid behind a tree, hoping to be unseen and unheard.

The silence that had started wit the turning of the man was broken again and so i started running towards the tree as fast as possible.

*Hope the posts is okay, And I'm sorry again guys!!!!!!   *

**I will post the profile for the second in command tomorrow k?**

Korri

Korri looked at the woman, well, she was a girl by his estimates. He turned and looked into the woods to where that boy had disappeared. He couldn't help but wory about them. A crack to the left of him brought his gaze whipping towards a group of mutants approaching.

"Alright lets go." He said quickly, grabbing Jacks's wrist and hurrying out of the clearing.

They ran for a few minutes, until the air started to hurt Korri's lungs. Slipping on his mask, he listened carefully over the noise of both his and Jacks's shallow breathing.

Nothing. He relaxed and looked at where they stood. It was just like him to head into a partially secure area without even thinking about it. Heavy brush, and un upturned tree providing a cave like structure.

"Stay here." Korri said and peeked into the roots. He grabbed a large limb and poked around in the dark corners. All clear.

"This looks like a good place to rest." Korri said.
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
Llama 1:"That is what forgiveness sounds like; screaming and then silence."

Burns,

I didn't WANT to come to that shack, but it had been the only choice. Calli wasn't exactly helping, either, although I did feel slightly happy when she praised my fighting skills. She is on her back, in the pile of leaves, and is grumbling quite loudly to herself. I sigh.

"OK, Calli. I'm not sure, but there MIGHT be some kind of edible plant outside that I can un-mutate. Happy?"

Calli shifts around, but doesn't say anything. I stand up, feeling for the wall of the hut. I click my tongue to get a sense of where I am, and walk cautiously out of the door. I creep over to a lumpy copse of mutant plants, and touch one of their trunks. Within a few seconds, the tree turns into what it originally was: a pine tree. Good. Maybe there are some cones. I kick the tree, hard, and am rewarded by several thumps to the head. I bend down and feel around for the fallen cones. I take off my jacket and use it to carry them back to the hut.

"Food!" I say, dropping the bundle between me and Calli, "Ever had pinolas before?"

Calli gets up, "No, I haven't," she says, suspiciously, "What are they?"

"Only one of the best things ever!" I've only ever had them once, when the scientists were doing preliminary tests on me. I had un-mutated a pine tree then, as well. I start carefully picking apart the pine cone, to get at the soft, flavorful nuts inside. I show Calli how to do it, and soon we have enough nuts to fill us both. She's cautious on the first nut, but soon she's eating them heartily. I try to feed some to Shay, but he refuses. I go back to get more. When I'm returning to the hut, however, I hear the howl of something. Definitely not human. Shay growls. I hurry inside.

"Did you hear that?" I whisper. Calli nods.

*Okay, I can't understand what Firestalker and Redbird had written. Fire saw a pointy eared man and Redbird heard a growl. I'm confused.*

Kitrina,

"Zire" She called weakly, grabbing the tree to push her self up.

No answer came.

She had taken only one step forward when she felt a searing pain in her little chest. She dropped to her knees, clutching her chest.

With her little hands shaking, she unbuttoned the first three buttons of her dress, and gazed down at her bare chest. What she saw, surprised her. Her normally pale skin had been replaced by a silver one right in the middle of the chest in the shape of a circle.

She lifted her a hand and made the same grabbing movement, and bluish sparks whizzed into her hand. After about 5 seconds, she twirled her hand and a flame appeared. She firmly shut her eyes and then moved the flame near her chest.

To her surprise, she didn't feel any pain. Only, a warmth and tingling sensation. She opened her eyes after a minute and looked down at her chest, and was relieved to see it returned to her normal color.

Extinguishing the flame, she buttoned her dress, feeling the wetness of sweat under her arms.

Kit stood up again, feeling much more better than before. She then went along the path Zire had gone.

*Okay?*

Jacks

The tree cave thing was dark, very dark. And it didn't seem like the sun would be up in the sky much longer. I shifted my weight back and forth from foot to foot. I hate the dark, it's terrifying. I sighed and finally looked away from the blackness of the tree cave up at Korri.

"Well, w-we don't have to go in there now, do we?" I stammered wringing my hands until they began to hurt.

"We sort of do, we need to rest," Korri said looking down at me. He seemed very sure of himself, very sure that this place was safe. I should have trusted him and just gone in and rested, I was tired.

"I think we should make a fire," I said, "Yes, a fire that would be perfect. I'll go look for wood." I turned towards the mass of dead trees, it looked a little dark in there too. It wasn't so much the dark itself I was afraid of but more of what could be IN the dark. I took a step forward then stopped. There was a twig on the ground. I leaned down and picked it up, "well that's a start." I made an awkward laugh and looked back at Korri.

He gave me a quizzical look. He probably thought I was insane.

"We don't have much use for a fire really. Besides it could give away our possition to mutants," he replied, "Is something wrong?"

"Oh no," I lied, "I just get cold, sometimes." God I sounded like an idiot.
All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, and I promise you something great will come of it.

Name: Azul
Gender: Male

Age: 17

Description:
He has long pointy cat ears and sharp green cat eyes. Apart from this, he has sharp teeth and sharp half an inch claws instead of finger nails. His body is thin and agile and he has faster reflexes than that of a cat.
When in his animal form, that of a panther, his irises turn blood red and his claws get longer. His agility, strength and reflexes are increased and his mouth morphs into something closer to a panther. His skin darkens, fur growing, resembling a black panthers skin and he grows a tail (:P), apart from other panther like characteristics.

Personality:

He is very very child like even at his age and tends to act like a cat, purring whenever he wants to. There are two persons he absolutely adores. The commander is one of them as he was once saved by her in the institution. The second is his only other friend, Akira. But for most other people he tends to display and care free, bloodthirsty attitude. while he does not mind in destruction he does hate it when anyone destroys anything on his side(The impure flora and fauna and other mutants). He tries his best, and to a great extent, succeeds in following in the steps of his commander. He also has the same hatred towards the human race as the commander does, most likely more.

Power:

*Use your imagination! What can a cat/panther/human do?*

Weakness/Strengths:

His strength is the fact that he has two different genes in him, making him much stronger than normal mutants.

His weakness is that he has no desire or ambition for power and is a carefree person who sometimes is too self confident to re-check what he has done. His only ambition being to help his beloved commander in any way he can. *You'll understand as the story progresses.*

Short Bio:

He was born in the institution, two weeks after his mother was injected with a cat gene. This enabled him to have certain cat like characteristics but did not enable him to transform into a cat like animal/mutant.
He lived with the other mutants and learned to survive, kill, live and work for himself. And although he was a favorite among the mutants, he was a failed product in the eyes of the scientists, who made him go through numerous tests to test his being, painful tests. When he passed most of the tests the scientists decided to re inject another gene into his body. They injected the panther gene because it was closely related to that of a cats. The process was especially painful for him because of his unique birth. And because of his unique genes, the panther genes were rejected from his system, leaving him in a semi conscious level, slowly dying. It was at this time that the commander saved his life and cared for him, not letting him give up and die. Eventually due to the great care of the commander, the panther gene, still inside his body, merged with his own and he was once again healthy.

Weapon: While he usually uses his wits, limbs, claws and teeth, he does also carry two twin daggers and sometimes (rarely) a sword.

*Okay with you Silver and RedBird and everyone else?*

The post

Azul

I was talking to one of the wolf men when I felt as if i was being watched. I turned around, sure enough there was someone there, most probably a savior.

I turned around, "Go tell the commander that the saviors are still alive".

My kinsman was about to leave when I stopped him, "No wait, follow that savior and find out his location. DO not hurt or kill anyone you encounter unless they attack you first, his is a spy mission"

The wolf man bowed slightly and went behind the savior who had spied on me. I didn't mind.

I would have to tell the commander, she might give me a treat after all I thought as I walked towards the commanders territory. I was purring.

*Okay guys? Anything wrong?*

Okies...First, to dispel any confusion, my post with the growl was referring to the nearness of mutants (growl=danger=mutants near). That was all that I meant. Second, I wasn't aware that Firestalker was going to be second-in-command for Silversun. That's alright, though.

Lastly, Incognito wants to join the SB. I said it would be fine, but where should we put a new character. Mutant or Savior? I need to PM Incognito back, so tell me your ideas.

Firestalker - You always have to post as Azul, don't you? :D I like the character as he purrs.

RedBird - Oh, so that's what you meant.

growl=danger=mutants near

Nice rhyming.

Let him/her (Incognito) be a mutant and the love of Azul :D It's better to have an actual character mutants than a bunch no-brained robots.

Kitrina,

"Zire!" The little girl called out, her tiny voice not penetrating the denseness of the forest.

She feeling scared at the growing darkness. Feeling her heart beating faster, she moved forwards, randomly bending twigs of certain plants, marking her way.

Suddenly, a hand grabbed her upper arm. Kit screamed in fear, but that immediatly turned to happiness when she saw Zire's face looming at her out of darkness. The little girl hugged him feeling happy and relieved.

"Shsh.....stay hidden" Zire whispered, looking worried.

"Why?" Kit asked,

"I saw someone. I don't think he was friendly." He answered peering around the tree trunk.

"Let's go then." Kit whined, looking scared, and trying pull Zire back from his arm.

Zire gazed into the open darkness infront of him and then allowed the little girl to drag him back.

None of them saw the two glistning night eyes staring at them from behind a nearby tree.

*What do you think?*

No more saviors. First think about how his/her character would have to be introduced in the middle of the storybook. It would be really uncomfortable to fit in with other characters now.

Secondly, there are only 2 mutants in this storybook right now, and more than 7 saviors. That seems a bit unequal.

What do you think RedBird? It's your choice.

Daniel

I run through the forest, pursued by yet more mutants. One howls in excitement of the hunt.

This was definitely not good.

I suddenly caught some movement up ahead. More of them? I would be boxed in. I curved to the right. The monsters that were behind me seemed to have lost me, but the one that was ahead was still pursuing. I came to a filthy stream, crossed it and came to a halt. I didn't hear it anymore.

I tried to catch my breath. Those things were faster than any human should be. It was...

My thoughts were interrupted. I heard it again. It was i the bushes right beside me.

It pounced... and began licking my face madly.

It was a dog.

Korri

"I don't think we need a fire. But I have a heating blanket, that will work better, and it's less conspicuous." Korri caught Jacks glancing at the cave, her body on edge. Then it clicked. He didn't say anything, but pulled of his pack the doctors had issued him when the Arcs left and grabbed a flashlight from the multitude of survival items in the bag.

Jacks shoulders sagged in relief. She latched her hands onto the light and flipped it on. Korri smiled a little to himself and pulled out the heating blanket and handed it to Jacks also, then he climbed into the 'cave' and smoothed the ground, preparing it for them to sleep on. He heard a few snapping twigs and thought it to be Jacks, but then the growl of what had to be a mutant brought him out of the cave in the blink of an eye.
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
