The pain was starting to fade, and he could see who he was in the truck with now. He winced a little as Andrew started to wash the cuts on his wrists, but it wasn't as bad as what had happened before. The way she was using the water in the bottle, though, it looked like he wasn't the only one having issues.
Moreover, the fact that they'd all been thrown into the same truck suggested that he wasn't the only one the government - or whoever - was targeting at the school. Did that mean they were trustworthy? The possibility was hard for Calvin to get his head around. But if these people wanted him dead, they wouldn't be helping him. So he could trust them, at least for the time being.
He held up a hand, the cuts starting to heal over now. "I'll be alright... I think this thing lets me heal a little faster." Sitting up, he clutched his head for a few moments, "But that hurts like nothing you could imagine."
