Shadow Valentine

**Starlet**


I starred at Andrew's forever changing eyes, but was distracted by a uprising wave of noise coming from outside the bathroom.
"Andrew, Envie," I whispered," Do you think-"
"It's happening to everyone else," Envie yelled," What is this?" Andrew shushed her and put here ear against the door. She threw it open and outside was a boy, who's name I believe to be Phelix. She drug him in with us.
"Hey, Phelix," Envie whispered," can you..can you hear us." He moaned and rolled his head back.
"He's okay," I whispered," Oh make sure he doesn't," I sniffed the air," do you guys smell flowers?" A vast meadow spread in front of my sights," guys, when did we get in a meadow?"
"What are you talking about, Star?" I could hear Andrew's voice, but I couldn't see her.
Things just keep getting weirder and weirder.

Andrew

I shook my head, this was getting scary, really scary. What the heck was wrong with Phelix? I looked at Star. "If I can control water and the ground...what else do you think I can control?"

Star's eyes widened and she shrugged. I took a deep breath, I had to try. Standing up, I waved my arms and hands around trying to get some sort of reaction. I put my hands in front of me and pushed them forward quickly.

Then, a sudden wind came out of nowhere and threw me forward into the wall. I was so jarred by the impact I almost didn't notice the pain in my head, now just a slight twinge. I pulled myself up to the sink.

Sure enough. My eyes were gold.

**Starlet**

The image and smells of the meadow disappeared and I blinked my eyes ferociously. I gasped at what I saw. Envie was gone, Phelix still lay on the floor, and Andrew was thrown into a wall, pieces of plaster crumbled around her.
"Oh, gosh, what happened?" She stood up and looked int he mirror.
"M-my eyes! Star," she yelled," my eyes are gold, a-and wind just flew from my hands. First water, then earth, now this." She flicked her hands and a blast of wind came from them, ruffling the hair on all of our heads.
"This is getting out of hand! Where's Envie?" Andrew looked around.
"She poofed."
"Poofed?" Andrew nodded. I stood up and walked out of the bathroom.
"I'll be right back," I yelled before heading into the mass confusion.

Andrew

I got up after her "Star! Come back!" I reached for the handle but jumped back when the burst into flames. I felt the twitch and couldn't even bear to look the mirror. I already knew. I flicked my hand and the water shot out at the door, dousing the flame, twich again.

I ran out and found Star, "Star, I can control fire too," I felt incridbly sick and scared. I wanted to wake up from this nightmare.

**Starlet**

The outside was chaos. Things flew around the room and people were screaming in agony. I ran up to one of the nurses and stole her gloves off her hand.
"This should do it." I shoved on the gloves and scanned the room.
"I can control fire too!" I turned around to see Andrew running after me.
I reached out to her, but she cringed away from me.
"It's okay, I got gloves." I put my and on her wrist and pulled her back towards the bathroom.
"I can control fire," she said to herself," this is crazy. And with the dance. I cant go to a dance with this!" She flung her arms in the air and fire erupted from them, her eyes flashed red. It was then that I really got to look at her hands, they were scarred and cracked. Because of me. I felt my hands go cold and I looked down at them. The were blue, ice blue.
"Um, A-Andrew." She looked up.
"What is it." I pulled off the gloves and walked over to where she was standing and grabbed her hands.
"Star! Wait, that's cold."

Andrew

I stared at Star's cold hands. "Whats happening to us Star..." Angrily I kicked the wall, causing a giant spike to come out of it. My eyes flashed. "Oops," I muttered. Fumlbeing with how to get ride of it, I put my hand on the edge of it and pushed.

It was sliding a warm knife through butter, and it went so fast I went headlong into the wall. I turned to Star, "Can you control the other two?"

**Starlet** (Dates, dates, we need dates to the dance; important)

Andrew's voice faded into the distance as I played with my hands. Red, blue, red, blue, red, blue, grey. Grey?
"Hey Andrew, look at this," I turned my hands to that grey and showed them to her," What now?" I placed my hand on her cheek and she stood still.
"Hey tell me what it does," The color drained out her face and her cheeks sunk in," Andrew?" She looked at me from sunken in eyes. I jerked my hand back and instantly she was normal again, but gasping for breath. I fell to the ground.
"Oh, I'm so sorry..."

**Envie**

Envie reappeared just outside the bathroom in the midst of mass chaos. A potted plant flew past her head and she ducked quickly. She glanced around. Several students were suffering from different ailments. As the minutes ticked by, more students began to suffer. As she watched, a girl suddenly exploded into a fine mist, only to reform and begin screaming in terror as it happened again. A younger boy burst into flame.

"Something's gone wrong!" A nurse screamed. "Call them!" Another nurse dashed into an office.
Envie took off down the hall, headed for the nearest exit. She needed to get out of this school. She rounded a corner and found Andrew and Starlet. "This whole place has gone to hell!" She said.

***can someone talk to her?she feels utterly alone ***

Arista "Arie"
She suddenly felt the urge to open her eyes, the were hurting from the the amount of time she had had them close closed. But it was disturbing what she saw when she opened them. Everything, absolutely everything around her was floating in the air. The force her mind had created seemed to have dissipated but the remnant of it were still powerful on her mind.
"No way" She said quietly. "No way"

But she wanted to try it. So she focused on a small brown jar that was next to her and was floating. She fixed her eyes on it and put all her attention to it. Very softly in her mind, she wished to bring the object to her hand. It was not working, but all of a sudden the jar moved and ended up on her lap. The impact was a bit too harsh though.

She still couldn't believe it so she focused on a glass o water that was on the end of the room. But this time when she focused on it, the glass moved directly to her.

**Starlet**

I ducked down as a glass of water flew over my head, headed straight for that Arista girl, at least I think that's her name.
"Yeah, Envie, this place has definitely gone to hell." I ran over to Arista who was glancing around the room with her eyes wide.
"Can you do me a favor," she nodded," there is a boy in the girl's bathroom, watch over him. I should be back to check on you later," She looked at me with wide eyes," Go!" She ran off, a trail of random objects followed behind her. Wierd. I looked at Andrew and Envie.
"We have to do something."

Andrew

I lay there gasping on the ground.

"I am so sorry!" Star said above me. I sat up feeling my heart pumping again. "I-its ok Star, holy crap you sucked out my soul! Literally!"

I got up and steadied myself on the sink when Envie bursted in. "This whole place has gone to hell!" She said. I ran for the door and opened it to see the chaos.I stopped This all happened after the vaccine! The vaccine, of course!

Suddenly someone grabbed me by the shoulders, as well as Star and Envie, and began to push us toward an armor truck. I squirmed and tried to make some element do something but they had my hands. "Let us go!" I yelled to no avail.

They pushed the three of us into the truck and locked it tight. Where were they taking us?

**Who's the boy? **
*Arista "Arie"
She wanted to make it, she had to make it but it seemed as if the strange power of her mind was taking over. But something deep inside of her told her that she should not let that power over take her. So she turned around and looked at everyhting that was behind her.
"Stop" She yelled and the next second all the objects were on hte floor, most of them walking.

And she continued running, still dizzy and still unsure of what she was doing.

As Envie was manhandled into the truck, she noticed the side of it was marked by the symbol for the local science department. She felt the tingling start in her legs and gritted her teeth, fighting the sensation. She was shoved into the truck.

"We're going to be lab rats. Whatever you do, try and fight your powers or whatever this is."

"What do you mean?" Starlet asked.

"I mean we're about to be taken to a science lab. The one that produce the vaccine. I heard a nurse say that something went wrong."

"I bet it's the vaccine, too." Andrew said. "All of this started after the stuff got into our systems."

"And I'm sure if they don't think we're affected, we'll just have to get some blood drawn and come back to school. Maybe a few more tests later, but nothing permanent. They'll want the ones with powers to do 24/7 experimenting."

"How do you figure?" Starlet asked, a weird look on her face.

Envie shrugged. "I like sci-fi movies."

Andrew

If I wasn't so freaked about all this I would've laughed. "But we just these powers how are we supposed to hide them if we don't know what to do to use them! Star can't control hers, but I supposed we have an upperhand by being in the bathroom... they didn't see any of us discover our powers..."

Derrin~

What the hell was going on? DJ jumped aside when a kid ran passed screaming as his body was engulfed in flames. Kendal and the guys disappeared, so it was just DJ now. Suddenly, as if something struck him in the head, DJ fell to the ground, writhering in the pain that came from his head, travelling down his neck and body before finally reaching his feet, to where his whole body was in pain and then... he blacked out.

"Grab his feet I'll get his upper body. God, this guy's heavy." When DJ opened his eyes, he felt arms underneath his own and hands on his ankles, two guys lugging him out of the truck. Lifting one hand, DJ rubbed his face, the sound of stone of stone resounding in the hall. "Hurry! He's waking up!" What the hell?! DJ pulled his hand away quickly, seeing that it was compeletely made of stone. What was going on? It had to be a dream.

Cold, crisp air hit his face, despite being made of stone, and the men tightened their grip, now running to a truck. "Hey! Let go'ah me!" DJ shouted, flailing his legs and arms, which were suddenly grabbed by two more men as the truck door was open and he was flung inside, almost landing on another person. When he hit the floor of the truck, his body changed to meet the same make-up of the truck.

"Yo..." he said uneasily to the three people who sat inside the truck.

**Yeah... I'm lost, so if these three could be Andrew, Envie and Starlet, that'd be great**
