(Let it be known that I am using hotelinternet to complete this task. =P)
[Jorge]
So insecure. He would have to fix that. It was a pity not everyone could live as he did.
"Bella, Bella," Jorge said, "of course I'd care. We've known eachother and lived together for quite some time now. This oppertunity is positively optimal for you--who wants to grow up living as a servant, waiting on people like me? 'Tis an honor, to be sure, for you could not find a better family to serve, but you are clearly bound--nay, destined--for greater things."
And he grinned. "Also, I might add, it is nice to have you around."
At that moment, Jorge and Bella had just about switched roles, with Jorge nearly yanking Bella into the hall. They quickly found seats and waited for the assembly to begin.
"Buy, buy, buy, buy; sell, sell, sell
How well you've learned to not discern;
Who's foe and who is friend,
We'll own them all in the end."
"So wait a minute," I began, spinning the question around while we waited for the assembly to start. Jorge gave me a questioning look, and i realized it was too loud for him to hear me properly. So instead, I leaned near him and spoke into his ear. "How is it that I did not hear of your being accepted to the academy?" I asked.
"I, well..." he began quietly, "I... simply assumed you had heard already. I thought there to be a bit of an uproar about the manor when my admitance had been discovered. To be truthful, I had no intention to tell you directly, as I believe myself to be poor at conducting... eloquent good-byes. 'Twas a mistake, clearly."
Yes. That would have to do. It was mostly true, at any rate.
"Buy, buy, buy, buy; sell, sell, sell
How well you've learned to not discern;
Who's foe and who is friend,
We'll own them all in the end."
[wow. That's definitely something I didn't know...hotelinternet *likes saying that*]
Bella--
"Yes it was," I agreed, smiling at him. "I'm glad you're here though."
"Really, and why is that?"
"I would've missed you otherwise," I replied, trying my best to use the confidence I knew I had somewhere inside. "And then i would've had to figure out how to fake my way into this place just to see you!"
This was truly excellent. Back home, Jorge could never have a conversation with Bella like the one he was having now--they were alone, sans supervision, and it felt wonderful. A small part of him wondered whether he should be paying attention to what was said, but hell with that.
"Ha, well," Jorge replied, still quiet and under the speaker, "fortunately that wasn't needed, though I have no doubt that you could handle such a task."
(Yeah, that's all I have. In case you haven't noticed, I dislike writing for other people's characters. >>)
"Buy, buy, buy, buy; sell, sell, sell
How well you've learned to not discern;
Who's foe and who is friend,
We'll own them all in the end."
*times up anyone else who shows up at the hall is LATE!*
Kai-
The sun had set fully as the students made there way into the hall. When it dipped below the horizon the teachers entered through the gate, making their way to the faculty's table at the back of the room. The teachers all had the maintained youth that came when you mastered magic, in short they had stopped aging. The teachers could be anywhere from twenty five to two hundred.

Please read and review my novel. The title is Fireborn. Here's the link.
As Acelyn gazed upon each of the teachers, she couldn't help but wonder about the people beneath the masks. Their goals, their ambitions, their place in the school. If she was to suceed, Acelyn knew that she would need to get the support of these people.
Suddenly, all of the remaining chatter died down. Someone was coming. Acelyn knew that this person had to be the Master of the Academy.
**Haha, I don't much care from posting from other peoples characters either, until i actually have their approval and know the character to some extent.**
Bella--
I had to sit pretty close to Jorge so that I could hear what he was saying, and reply, without either of us getting too loud. My nose caught his scent, and I took a deep breath. He gave me a questioning look, which I ignored by continuing the conversation.
"You give me too much credit," I said, chuckling. He smiled.
"I don't," he said.
"You do." I watched him for a moment. Our eyes locked. "Jorge? Would you really have missed me?"
I didn't know what to expect. My heart hoped for a 'yes', but my head expected a 'no'. Afterall, who in their right mind would miss someone who simply served in their house?!
Tayla realized the time and cursed. She ran back inside and raced towards the direction she thought the hall was. She stopped in front of the doors and took a deep breath and entered. Head turns to look at her and she immediately turned a deep shade of crimson. A teacher called at her.
"You're late."
"Sorry.." she said in a weak voice and looked at her feet.
"Take a seat."
She did as she was told and sat down at an empty spot, keeping her hand in her pocket to stroke Rosila's head.
"After it happened I thought that I'd just try to live as normally as possible and bury it, but things like that don't stay buried. I didn't think it would, but it taints your whole life."
"My desires were bestial, obviously." -Jeffery Dahmer.
Calyn had been watching the sunset. Reds and yellows and pinks and golds all mixed together.
Cristae, still perched firmly on her shoulder, pecked at Calyn's ear.
"What?" she said crossly.
Your Master of the Academy is coming. You ought to rise.
"Oh, of course!" Calyn stood, along with the rest of the room, as a person clad in a blue robe with gold embroidery strode purposefully down the aisle to the front.
*All I got. Someone else gets to pick which gender the Master is--if any.*
