Andrew:

I pulled my horse to a stop and jumped off, rushing toward the girl who had fallen. "Are you okay?!" I asked worridly. I didn't want her to get hurt, and I didn't know why.

Kenra---

Kenra nodded, she slowly tried to stand up but just sat back down. "I'll be bruised, that's all." She said trying to keep her hands from shaking. "I wasn't paying attention and I should've." She closed her eyes trying to keep the pain from getting to her head.

Andrew:

I stood there helpless. "What can I do?" I asked. I hated seeing anyone hurt, which is why I tried not to hang out with anyone. I ended up hurting them indirectly. I reached for her hand and helped her up. "Do you need a ride back?"

Kenra--

Kenra put her hand on her side where she had landed and her hand started to turn blue. She had managed to figure out how to heal a little, but no that great. "If you could find my horse that would be cool. Though he probably went back to the barn." She said moving her hand to her back. She couldn't heal it all the way, but it would do until she got back.

SishBee wrote:*Sure! I'll be your roomie, unless anyone else wants me? lol!*

*all is good! Yay, I have a roomie! I will meet everyone during the assembly, since I'm going to be late after going to our room. Lol, we both have eagles. Good thing I picked silver. I assume that you have been to your room already--wait, duh. Okay!

By the way, when exactly is the assembly, cause we're all in different places?

Bella: Ray(SishBee) and Calyn(NewWriter) are now roomates*

****The DT goes in a new section now.****

Kenra----

"I should be able to make it back." She said smiling. She grabbed the horn of the saddle and hoisted herself up biting her lip in pain. She wanted to scream, she must've broken something. She was'nt about to say anything though. "THanks for you help."

*Hurry up, you will be late to the assembly!:-)*

Calyn-

Calyn finally found the girls' dorm. Freshmen were on the top floor out of seven. Oh, great, she thought grumpily. Senior privileges, of course. Well, I'm certainly not going to get fat around here. It'll be a long hike. But since I'm late...

"Cristae," she called.

The eagle swooped down to land on her outstretched arm. Yes?

"I know this is odd, but would you fly me up to my room, please? I mean, because I'm already rather late getting here, I don't have much time and it'll take me forever to climb all those stairs..."

Wait. Do you want me to do this every day?

"No, just this once, so I don't miss the orientation assembly, which is starting in ten minutes. *So hurry up and get there, all you other freshmen!* and it's going to take me longer than that to get my stuff unpacked and to walk to the Hall."

How about this: I fly you up to your room, you do whatever you need to do, and then I fly you to the Hall. After which point I do not fly you on a regular basis. Deal?

"Deal," said Calyn. Cristae fluttered off her arm and landed on the ground. Calyn stepped back as the eagle grew nearly as large as the coach they had ridden in from the port city of Sotat.

Ready? Don't forget your bag.

Calyn grabbed her sack and scrambled onto Cristae's back, settling herself between the wings. With a melodious whistle quite unlike the ordinary screech of her kind, Cristae climbed into the air, Calyn sitting securely astride her.

*Gar! Gotta go eat lunch. Will be back soon.*

*i'll make a list of characters in the DT so we know who everyone is.*

Kai-

While Kai waited for the others he nodded off. Kai hadn't slept well in weeks. Unbidden his mind flashed to the first time he used magic.

The trees were covered in huge claw marks. The bear had cut a swath through the woods, and was clearly rabid. With a shrug Kai drew his bow and nocked an arrow siting down the path at the thrashing animal.

The bear had to die. It had trashed the food storage and killed one of the village children. If the villagers caught him they would just torture it. Kai couldn't bear to see that. With his sister dead he had only had the animals for friends since his Grandpa lived far from civilization.

"Sorry Old Friend. I'll make this quick." And Kai let the arrow fly.

He jerked awake when the doors banged open, more older students coming into the hall. Kai leaned back in his chair. Little had he known just how quick the old bears death would be. He had released cutting blades of wind along with that arrow.

*I forgot to mention, each character has a special magical ability that none of the others have. For Kai, that is the ability to Soul Jump, in short, he can invade and take over other peoples minds.*

****Kenra's is a battle soul. It's where when she gets into combat her soul changes to that of a warriors. Until her enimies are dead she keeps fighting, she becomes a very skilled fighter when this happens. Only problem is she can be dangerous if someone that is a friend touches her. If someone touches her when she is in that soul form the soul that takes over thinks they might harm her and will attack them. It is like a protective sibling she doesn't know she has. Dose that work. If not I'll change it. ****

*I'll think up a ability another time, and post in the the DT when I do.*

~Acelyn~

When Acelyn reached the Great Hall, at first she thought that the freshman's section was empty. However, she saw that some of the more senior pupilsa were looking towards it in interest, an Acelyn soon spotted the fox ears that protruded from Kai's head.
When she reached him, he looked slightly down. She wondered why he was like that; probably due to being here. She knew that not everyone was like her; some would have been forced to come to this place.
"Here," she said, and put a small red sweet into his hand.
"A cherry drop?" he asked, looking at it curiously.
"I like sweet things," replied, sticking her tongue out to show the half-sucked cherry drop. "It helps calm me down."

*Calyn's ability is Sharp-sense, which means that she can sharpen her senses to hear or see (etc.) things that are far off. It can also see through things and to some extent read people's minds (but not very much). When she uses it, her eyes turn as golden as her hair.*

Calyn-

In the half-minute or so it took Cristae to reach the top floor of the girls' dormitory, Calyn was free to watch the vast grounds of the Sorcerer's Academy spread out below her. Over on one side was a huge building, with many people walking towards it. That must be the Hall where the orientation is going to be, she thought. On the other side there were more buildings, none so huge as the Hall. And way over there were two people with horses.

Calyn squinted, but she couldn't make out any features. She started to ask Cristae is the eagle could make them out, but then she stopped. "Silly me, I can see them if I use my sharp-sense." Calyn closed her deep blue eyes and concentrated on sharpening her vision and hearing. When she opened them, her eyes glowed gold and she could see and hear the two as if she were standing not far away. One was a red-headed girl, the other a blond boy.

"Here you go, are you sure you'll be okay?" asked the boy. He sounded concerned.

"I should be able to make it back." said the girl. She grabbed the horn of the saddle and hoisted herself up. Calyn could see that the redhead was trying to hide a lot of pain.

She fell off her horse, Calyn realized. I hope she'll be okay.

"Thanks for you help," said the redheaded girl, then rode away.

Calyn?

Calyn jumped, blinked her eyes to restore normal vision and hearing, then turned to answer Cristae. "What?"

We're on the roof.

"Oh! Oh, yes. Sorry." Calyn climbed off her friend's back. Cristae immediately shrank to normal size. They hurried over to the skylight. Calyn yanked it open and scrambled down several rungs of the ladder, then shut the skylight, once Cristae had flown in. The girl finished climbing down the ladder and opened the door at the bottom.

Walking into the hall, Calyn looked for her room. When she found it, she entered and dropped her bag on the bed that was perfectly made. Her new roommate had obviously been there, unpacked, and left for the assembly. A golden eagle's feather lay on the floor next to the other bed.

"It would seem that me and my roomie both have eagles as familiars," Calyn said to Cristae, who was perched on the girl's headboard. "Lucky you're silver and not gold, huh?"

Quite.

Calyn quickly unpacked her bag, pausing over the book she carried within.

" 'Chantments of the World,' " she read dreamily. She opened the book and flipped a few pages. "Ninth is the Power of Tongue, which commands all speech-"

Calyn!

"Hmm-what?" exclaimed the girl, startled.

Cristae pecked at her dress. You are late, must I remind you?

"Oh, right!" Calyn carefully placed the book under her pillow, then hurried back up to the roof with Cristae. Once they were there, the eagle grew again and Calyn climbed aboard.

As Cristae took off, Calyn wondered, I wonder what my roommate and this school will be like.

'They are afraid of nothing,' I grumbled, watching their approach through the window. 'Together, they would brave Satan and all his legions.'
