*growls**Because Phindin has yet to post, i'm dragging his character with me to the assembly. I apologize if it doesn't sound like his character, I'm doing the best I can. Also, Bella will learn her ability with time.*

Bella

I helped Jorge to his feet.

"You got in here too?" he sounded rather surprised. I nodded, keeping my gaze lowered. It had become habit to not say much of anything around Jorge. I was allowed to like him, but I wasn't allowed to make it known.

"We have to hurry," I said, looking around at the nearly empty hallway. "We'll miss the assembly!"

Come on come on! Jax said through my mind. He was conveinently shoved in my pocket. I pulled him out and glared at him.

We're going! I snapped before shoving him back in my pocket and grabbing Jorge's hand to make him move faster.

Jarra and Ray walked into the great hall.

The immense sheet of glass that all but made up the lake-side wall was amazing, clearly it had only been made possible though magic.

Ray led the way towards the almost empty first year table; Jarra had been too absorbed in the window and the lake beyond to notice that the other six were full of surly looking older students.

Having said that, some of the kids on the second year table looked about his age or younger, which he should have expected. He noticed that none of the older students had their familiars with them, but this made sense as the assembly would become a zoo if they all had. He hoped he wouldnt get in trouble because of Timothy. THe playful scamp had done it before.

As they walked Ray and Jarra introduced one another and their familiars. It was odd talking on such even terms with a noble, let alone one from another kingdom.

He spotted Kai and led Ray over to him. He introduced them to one another.

[Ray]

After being introduced to Kai she just couldn't help but ask, "Sorry if this seems rude but why do you have fox ears and a tail?"

Kai smiled "My first transformation went a little wrong."

"Ah. So, what are we doing in here exactly?"

"I think we are going to listen to a speech or something."

Ray glanced at Jarra whose familiar, Timothy, was coiled around his neck. Crow was perched on her shoulder and she took a piece of bread out of her pocket and fed it to him.

As they waited she wondered what her roomate would be like. "Lets hope she doesn't have a mouse as a familiar." she said quietly to Crow, who nodded in agreement.

*My character feels invisible :(*

~Acelyn~

Having gone out for a moment, when Acelyn returned, she was surprised and slightly curious to find that two new students had found their way to the first year table. However, before she could decide what to do, their gaze passed over her. Thew two new pupis simply passed over her, but Kai's face lit up and he prompted her over with a vigourous hand movement.
"Acelyn, this is Jarra and Ray. Jarra and Ray, this is Acelyn. She a newbie too, but she's already good at fighting and can even heal," said Kai with ethusiasm.
"Pleasure," replied Acelyn curtly. She noticed both their gazed heading to Craw, who was perched on her shoulder.
"Is there a problem?" she asked, a little more frostily than she had intended. Jarra looked slightly embarressed, but Ray met her hard stare for a moment before mumbling something inilegible. An awkward silence hung between them as Acelyn sat back down.

Calyn-

Cristae glided down to the grass before the Great Hall, landing with a swoosh. Laughing, Calyn climbed off her back. The eagle immediately shrank to toy-bird size and perched on the girl's shoulder. They walked in together. Apparently they weren't late. **Ha ha!**

Calyn gaped as she entered the room. It was enormous, and one wall was made entirely of glass. Magic, she thought. That's impossible otherwise. The sun was just beginning to set over the lake seen through the window.

There were seven large tables. Six were filled with older students, but the seventh had only four people sitting at it.

Either there aren't that many freshmen, or there's a lot of people missing, said Cristae.

"Yeah, I bet a lot of people are exploring." Calyn looked closer at the freshman table. There were four people sitting there: a boy with curly black hair who had a small dragon curled around his neck, a light brunette girl with a crow on her shoulder, a silver-haired boy with--Calyn blinked. He had silver fox ears and a silver fox tail. Transformation gone awry, Calyn thought. The fox-boy had a small fox cub with him.

The fourth person at the table was girl with long, light blue hair. She had a golden eagle with her. **I think Crow is with Ray?** That must be my roommate! thought Calyn, excited to meet her.

She walked over to them, suddenly shy. "Um, hi. I'm Calyn, and this is Cristae. And you are...?"

**Would you introduce the others to me, sylver, like you did with everyone else?**

(My bad. I was on a band trip in New York. >>)

[Jorge]

"What? What assembly is this? I heard of no assembly For what are we assembling? Surely it were so important I would have heard about it."

Yet Jorge was far from miffed, and let Bella drag him along. She was one of things he would have missed about home and now, conveniently, he wouldn't have to miss her at all. Further, in the halls of the school, they'd no longer be plagued by the barrier of rank. It would be awkward at first, surely, but they were friendly enough already.

What it really was… well, it was a chance. A very good chance.

"Now I'm positively wondering," Jorge said, "how you got in here without me knowing. Such important information should not be swept under the rug, nor concealed for any reason. Perhaps you know?"
"Buy, buy, buy, buy; sell, sell, sell
How well you've learned to not discern;
Who's foe and who is friend,
We'll own them all in the end."

*as promised I have posted a character list in the DT.*

Kai-

He smiled when Calyn showed up. "Hey Calyn. This is Jarra, my room mate. Ray and Acelyn."
Everyone gave there own greetings and they all sat down together. "But seriously, have you guys noticed the glares we're getting from the older students? What's up with that?"

Jarra glanced over at Kii, who had started playing with the other familiars. "A magical fox, a dragon, two eagles and a crow? Those are powerful creatures, and powerful creatures usually belong to powerful sorcerer's they probably see us as a threat."

Jarra-

He paused, considering the older students out of the corner of his eye. "Most of them, the second and third years anyway, seem to be sitting in their Cast's, we must be bucking the trend." He grinned at the peasants and noble.

Ray looked a little confused "But doesn't caste stop mattering once we come to the academy?"

Acelyn smirked, "Not in the first few years. By the later stages of education, everyone's focussed on what they'll be when they leave, but for now most stick to their own kind."

"who told you that?" aked Kai, his ear twitching slightly as he spoke.

"I can't remember, probably someone from my village at home."

The conversation stopped for a minute as a new batch of first years came bustling in. Jarra couldn't tell which kingdom they were from, but they had the disposition of nobles. Their familiars included a tabby cat, black rat, small dog and a dark green snake. The two groups of freshmen eyed each other for a second before the nobles sat down, at the other end of the long table that Jarra and his new friends did.

"Well nobody told me that." he replied, worriedly.
So you're going to kill a god. Sure. But what happens next?

((Edit: so I'm not at school so I will post now. Mia's animal's name is Noo..you know..like boo=] ..))

Mia stood looking at the grounds of the place. A soft breeze blew past causing her hair to blow into her face irritably, the wind grazing against her fingerless gloves. Smiling, Mia walked across the grounds and to the front doors having to move her bag to the opposite shoulder to regain the feeling in her right arm.

**eh..so this is all I have at the moment.**

OOC: Yes! Phindin!! If I were anywhere near you you would so be glomped right now!

Bella

I shrugged, words leaving me suddenly.

"I just...didn't figure it mattered," I replied. "I mean, it's a great school and all, but why would it have mattered to you if I was here?"

I probably sounded like and idiot. Becoming nervous, I bit my bottom lip and looked down at the ground.

Alexey-

Alexey hurried into the hall and already most tables were filled with other students.
He looked around for his own table, finding it quickly. It was almost empty, except for two groups, one on either end of the table. He spotted Kais silver ears and headed for that group. At least he would know someone.

He sat next to a girl with long golden hair, right across from Acelyn.

“Hello.”

Kai greeted him with a “Hey.” Acelyn smiled and everyone else introduced themselves.

They all seemed distracted, glancing over at the group on the other end of the table.

“Who are they?” Alexey asked.

“Apparently,” said Jarra, “casts are still an issue in your first few years.” He looked worried.

“Well, maybe we’ll have to change this trend.” Said Kai, smiling.

“I think we already are.” said Ray.

Alexey looked at the other students at other tables. They all seemed to be split into groups of their own.

Calyn-

"Well, we might be changing the trend," put in Calyn, "but I don't know about the group at the other end of the table." She looked at the other tables. "It would be nice not to have a segregated school, so to speak."

**Blargh. Short. Sorry.**
