[Dierik]

Dierik grinned, "Well I was born and raised on the Plague, I've watched the captains come and go throughout the years. I've been with Raphael since he stepped up. He's a good captain, better than a lot I've seen."

Garin nodded, "Yeah. I'll have to agree with you there; there are definitely worse captains out there."

Dierik watched a flicker of sadness pass through the boy's eyes, and wondered what had happened. He blinked, not wanting to pry. They were silent for a moment, and Dierik leaned over the railing, staring at the sea rippling beneath the Plague.

**Sorry I've missed quite a bit. I hope this fits all right.**

Isabella/Tristan

I looked after Thorn. Half of me was screaming to follow him, while the other half knew it was pointless. Thorn was stubborn, always had been. He had his idea, and he would stick to it regardless of everything else.

There was a rap at the door beforet the captain came in.

"Yessir?" I asked. He stared at me for a few minutes. Rats! I thought, shoving my hat over my hair.

It was too late...I was as good as dead now.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Captain Raphael

I let a small smile play on my lips as i watched young Tristan nervously shove her hat on.

"I won't tell a soul," I promised, nodding to her.

"Oh thank you sir!" she exclaimed, relief obvious in her voice.

"You best be careful though," I pointed out. "This is Peter, our newest crew member. He'll be boarding with you."

I watched as Peter walked into the room.

"I'll leave you two to get acquainted," I said, turning to leave.

Caralina (Peter)----

Caralina hadn't been able to see what the captain had been talking about when he told the boy he wouldn't tell anyone. He left as she stepped in the room. She kept her eyes on the ground not looking up. She fiddled with the hem on her shirt then stopped, that was a femine habit, least that was what she had been told. She looked around the room, she didn't know what to say. She looked at the bunk beds there was two sets.

"Um, so which one can I use?" She asked looking both over as if she was interested in them.

**see the DT for our decisions and whatnot**
[Dierik]

Dierik shifted his arms, leaning forward on them. He smiled at the hypnotic way the sea swirled around the Plague, as if making way for her.

The water was clear, and he could see a reef sprawling beneath them. His muscles tightened slightly at the sight of a small shark, but then he relaxed, nearly laughing at himself. It was a small shark after all, not likely to do any damage unless you were in the water with it.

He was still smiling as he watched an oddly colored dolphin swim by. Only the tail was in view, and Dierik wondered if this was some new breed of dolphin. It's flippers weren't visible and the dorsal fin was no where in sight. In fact, it seemed too long, skinny, and the flukes were long.

He leaned in, confused. Then the rest of the 'dolphin' came in view as it glided out from behind the reef. It was the body of a human! More specifically, a woman.

His confusion turned to hypnotic fascination as she wound her way to the surface, an inhumanely beautiful face now visible. From beneath the watery surface, he saw her delicate eyelashes flutter, her full lips twist into a smile.

He leaned farther over the railing, grabbing a rope next to him. He would pull her up, or maybe lower himself in, but either way he would be with her, next to her. Her head broke the surface, hair shimmering and swirling around her. She giggled, whispering to him.

Dierik's heart dropped into his stomach, and he pushed himself up onto the brim of the railing, preparing to dive.

Garin

Garin clutched the back of Dierik's shirt, yanking him back. "Are you crazy?" he cried. "What are you doing?!"

Then he heard something, a soft, lulling song, the kind that the sea would sing, if it had a voice.

He peered over the railing, and gasped. Another woman had swam up, smiling at him with wide, innocent, sea-blue eyes. She smiled broader, and swam a little closer, beckoning him.

Garin unbottoned his vest and flung it off and climbed onto the rail, preparing to jump.

Lilith~

Lilith heard a giggle. She shot her head up. Dierik and Garin were looking into the water, standing on the railing about to dive in. Mermaid! She thought angrily and she ran at them, knocking them to the ground. She grabbed both of them and pulled 'em away from the side, tying them to the middle shaft.

"You idiot," she whispered, looking around for any other men.

Caralina (Peter)---

Caralina ran up deck when she heard a strange noise. One of the crewmen was about to jump over. She ran foreward yanking him down. He tried pushing past her and she kicked his feet out from under him.

"Whats wrong with them?" She demanded.

"Mermaids." The girl said.

"What do we do?" She asked looking as more of the crew came up and started walking over. There was no way she would be able to stop the crew, they were twice her size!

[Dierik]

Dierik struggled angrily against the ropes around him, shouting at Purple Shark when she tied another crew member up with him and Garin.

"They need me!" he shouted, his mind hazy. Purple Shark growled at him and moved on.

Furious, his whole being screaming to get free, Dierik wriggled in the ropes, dropping his hand slowly to his boot, feeling inside, and then pulling out his dagger. He grinned with triumph and began sawing at the rope.

He watched impatiently as the frayed ends split, and he burst forward. He sprinted toward the railing with one idea in mind, Get into the water.

He scrambled up onto the side, looking over his shoulder as Purple Shark barreled her way towards him, and jumped. His mind cleared briefly at the contact of the icy water, and he knew what he was doing was entirely idiotic.

But a voice cooed to him, and his mind hazed over. A mermaid made her way towards him, swirling around in hypnotic circles, beaming as she pressed closer. He swam her way, his eyes eager.

He felt hands grip his ankles, pulling him under with giggles and shrieks. He followed willingly, his mind kept fuzzy by their faces. They pressed closer and closer, smiling and cooing.

That was when he realized he was out of breath. He shot a smile at the nearest mermaid and began to make for the surface. The mermaid frowned, pulling him farther under.

Caralina (Peter)----

Caralina saw the man dive into the water and she grabbed a dagger jumping in after him. The cold water threatened to steal her air but she ignored it. A mermaid glared at her swiming towards her she jerked the dagger up and the mermaid stopped. Caralina grabbed Derik's arm and started swimming up threatening any mermaid with the dagger that came close she surfaced pulling her hat back on and looking up. Purple Shark threw a rope down and Caralina tied it around Deirk. He was pulled up as she felt something wrap around her leg. She looked down and saw a mermaid holding it. She jabbed the dagger towards her cutting her arm. She grabbed the rope that was thrown to her and was pulled out of the water. She immediatly went to getting all the weapons from teh crew so they couldnt' untie themselves.

"The Captain!" She said motioning for his room. "We have to tie him up." She said.

[Dierik]

Dierik forced the salty water from his lungs, his eyes watering. His mind was clear now and he could see the others around him calming slightly. One of his mates, Tristan, hurled a spear into the water, driving the mermaids away.

Confused, he turned to Garin, "Why didn't they fall all over them like we did?"

Caralina (Peter)----

Caralina reliezed quickly after hearing what Derik said that unless she thought of something fast she was going to be discovered. She couldn't have that. She chewed her lower lip then smiled, maybe she was 'too young' for the mermaids trick to work on her. She could pull off the age thing, right?

Garin glanced at the two young boys, then smiled. "Either they're just too young," he said, "or they're too fresh off land to know how long years at sea with little or no women can really take a toll on sailors."

Captain Raphael

I was hearing noises, shouts from above.

A voice sweet as honey caught my ear, beckoning to me. I rose from my seat, making to leave my office. I opened the door, taking the voice in without realizing what I was doing.

Isabella - Tristan

I jumped to my feet as Peter left the room. After making sure my hair was hidden under the hat, and grabbing my daggers, I ran out of the room.

A good amount of hte men were tied up, and moaning angrilly. I heard the voices of the mermaids, but they sounded like naught more than disgusting screeches to me.

"Don't let him go overboard!" the Purple Shark (as she was called) shouted, pointing at me. I rose my hands innocently.

"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere that involves mermaids," I promised.

Caralina (Peter)---

Caralina saw the captain, "We gotta stop, Cap'n." She yelled hurrying towards him. She didn't know what to do. She grabbed his arm pulling him backwards. At least that was her plan. He was strong then her by a good lot and she ended up being shook from his arm and thrown on the deck. Her hat started to losen and she slammed it back on all the way. SHe looked at the others. She needed help and bad.

Isabella - Tristan

"I'll help!" I called, running over to where Peter had fallen. He got to his feet whilst I grabbed a length of rope. I tossed him one end, grabbing the other.

"What's the plan?" Peter asked worriedly.

"Just start running around the captain in the opposite direction of me. We're gonna have to tie him up!" I explained, circling the captain quickly.
