I started out trying to design some characters for a storyboard pitch I'm working on, but then I got bored and just started to play. Faces are my favorite to draw!

"As students in elementary school we are taught that the difference between nonfiction and fiction is that nonfiction is "true" and fiction is "made-up." The aspiring writer must overcome the inadequacy of this elementary definition in order to take advantage of his or her personal experiences and knowledge in creating fiction."
    -Donald Davis

  • How important are beta readers? They give you the basics of how your (hopefully) thousands of readers are going to think and feel. They tell you their first impressions, what was exciting, what characters are annoying, what made them cry and what jokes fell flat. Story is a language, a way to communicate. If you want to make sure that communication is working, listen to your beta readers. They are everything right now.

When we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind.
— Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind
