Captain Raphael

"A lovely name for a lovely person," I said softly, knowing she would hear it. "Good to meet you Caralina."

I realized right then that no one was watching. No one was even on deck, so far as I could see. Most of them were down below, either sleeping or playing cards. Had they been there, I would not have been able to make my next move.

Gently, I took her hand and kissed the top. I let it go, and smiled at her awed expression.

"All men should be gentlemen in the face of a woman -- even a pirate...no, especially a pirate."

Caralina----

Caralina stood there dumbfounded. "Even all gentlemen don't do that. I know." She said feeling her cheeks burn.

Caralina (Peter) continued)---

She bit her tounge and turned forward again. She had known many a gentlemen that had been very rude. Her father had made it his buisness to try and find a sutible husband for her and several 'gentlemen' had showed up. None of them were half as nice to her as Cap'n was. She frowned, she missed her dad, she really did. "Cap'n, why are you so nice to people?" She asked looking back at him.

"Well, Caralina, it is my firm belief that if you're good to people, they'll be good to you. And, as a leader, if you're good to people, they'll listen to you, and have more repect for you." She noddded, listening to me speak. "There are less arguments when you're nice to people. And i doubt you've met very many decent gentlemen, if they weren't what you consider to be nice."

She was watching me. I smiled at her, patting her head lightly.

"But that's not for me to say," I added. The sun was going down, it was getting dark. I pulled out my telescope and took a quick look in the direction of the island. We should be there within the next three days, I thought to myself. I didn't want to tell anyone quite yet, and besides most of them were asleep. I shoved the telescope back into my pocket and turned to watch Caralina.

[Dierik]

Dierik motioned for Garin to follow him, heading towards a loose rigging. As they set to work, Dierik asked conversationally, "So how long have you been in piracy?"

[Dierik]

Garin frowned slightly, obviously a little troubled by his memories. He opened his mouth to speak but Dierik stopped him, "It's alright. Hey we need to head to the quarters, it's getting dark."

Garin nodded gratefully and Dierik secured the rigging. "I'm bunking for the night!" he shouted to no one in particular, heading below deck.

"You got a bunk?" he asked Garin.

Garin shook his head.

"Alright," Dierik answered, brushing his hands together, "There's an empty one below me. The previous owner was killed in our last fight."

Garin looked slightly uncomfortable and Dierik laughed, "Don't worry! A dead man's bed isn't haunted, despite any rumors you might hear."

Caralina---

Caralina turned back to the wheel when he walked to the side of the boat and started looking through his teloscope. She had felt like a little child when he patted her on the head and he might think her still one. She sighed, she ran her fingers over the wheel and watched the patterns in the wood looking up every now and then to make sure they were going the right way. She felt like she was being watched, but there was no one on the ship that would watch her and everyone was below deck. Cap'n was looking through his teloscope. She shook off the feeling and chewed on her lip. She thought about the mermaids and her ankle starting hurting. She wanted to scream, only when she thought about the mermaids did her ankle hurt again. She changed her thoughts so it would stop the hurting. Where they ever going to see land again? She knew the thought was stupid, she was on a ship, they were always out at sea and only stopped at ports when needed. She had planned on slipping off at the first port but something made her not want to do that. Common sense told her she needed to though.

I leaned against the railing, watching Caralina steer the ship.

"That place suits you," I commented. She cocked her head to the side, giving me a questioning look. "You look good at the helm. Almost like you were meant for it." I explained.

Caralina---

"Oh," She said looking back foreward. "I really have no clue what I'm doing though. I'm just keeping it going in the same direction. It's not that hard." She said her fingers following the graining of the wood on the wheel. "I think it makes the guy that normally does this nervous when he sees me up here. He didn't seem to like it to much earlier after the mermaids attacked, or whatever you call what they did. He wasn't rude though, very nice."

OOC: Random amusing fact - every time I type Captain, I have the urge to type Morgan after it.

Captain Raphael

"Thorn is a good man." I agreed, nodding. I noticed her eyes were unfocused again. "What are you thinking?" I asked, watching her carefully.

Caralina---

"How everyone thinks that the pirate life is so barbaric, when in reality it seems civilized life is more barbaric then a pirates life." She said chewing her lip. "I don't know."

Captain Raphael--

I chuckled.

"Life upon my ship is quite a bit more civil than some ships," I pointed out.

Caralina (Peter)---

"That may be true, but I'm sure anything can be more civilized then some people in civilization." She muttered. She looked otu towards the ocean. "It's so beautiful out here, even though it seems like the same thing, it's still beautiful."

Why can't I put the entire Bee Movie in the quote generator? Would you prefer if I put in the Shrek script instead?
