Lilith~

Lilith bit her lip. It had been an hour already and neither of them had played anything. She hissed through her teeth. Even if I do win, what would I do with a finger? It is only one bag. She thought as she touched three large bags that sat behind her. "I fold," she sighed, laying the cards down on the table. The pirates around them gasped and Lilith just smiled at Leyshon.

"Can't let ye go off an' sevour yer own finger," she winked at him and grabbed the three bags from behind her. She walked up the wooden stairs and to the bow of the boat, watching the dark sea, wash past the ship's sides.

[Leyshon Blodwyn]

He threw down the cards on the table and sighed. "Would've been fun if we actually got to playin' this."

Leyshon turned the chair around and looked at the people behind him to see if anyone was willing to play, but no one volunteered. With a grumble he headed towards the stairs and walked out onto the deck, hoping there was something he could do to occupy his time.

Lilith~

Lilith heard Leyshon walk out onto the deck. She turned around to face him, smiling. "Oy, Leyshon. You know you're the only one that has ever beat me since I came onto the Plague." She dropped her pirate accent as she opened a crate next to her. "Want some to celebrate your win?" She asked, holding up a bottle of rum and a couple of glasses.

Here is Toribrio's Profile:

Name: Toribrio

Gender: Female

Age: Between the ages of 15-17

Appearance:
-Build: Slim and tall. Stands about 5' 8" and weighs about 115 pounds.
-Skin Tone: Darkly Tanned
-Eyes: One is dark brown, one is a lighter shade of green, both are slightly glazed over with a milky substance, though some of the original color shows through.
-Hair: Dark brown (almost black) reaching her mid-back. Always full of sticks, leaves, seaweed, et cetera.
-Any flaws: A small scar across her right cheek as well as numerous scars upon the backs of her hands.
-Clothes: She would wear something like this. A pirate/gypsy mix.

Weapons: A few daggers, a dull short-sword, and a pistol with no ammunition (still can be used as an effective threat/bluff).

Personality: Naturally curious and protective. She doesn't like strangers much (with good reason (see background)) unless they do something to earn her trust. She's a bit insane, having lived by herself for a good portion of her life so far. She doesn't care what others think about her, and she doesn't think much of others so long as they stay away from her maps. She has a good sense of humor and is much more mature than her age would let on. Do not underestimate her and beware her temper.

Background: Was, quite literally, born on the island on which she now resides. She never knew who her father was, but her mother would tell her stories of him and how he had been a brave and adventurous pirate. Her mother told her many stories, some of which had to do with her family's history, some about the lands that lay beyond the island. Then, when Toribrio was eight, her mother died and she was left alone. She had almost perished but managed to survive and has been living by herself ever since. She's had a few visits from pirates who have learned of her maps and had come to take them from her, using force or threats. She somehow managed to scare them all off.

Skills: She's pretty good at healing with herbs and ointments and is a good hunter and fisher(wo)man. She is also good with her daggers, despite being blind. She had developed sort of a sixth sense, allowing her to 'see'. Sometimes it doesn't work so well.

Other: Will eventually fall for Cat's character, Dierik.

He gave her a smile as he took one of the glasses. "Ah rum! My favorite of all drinks, wouldn't you agree?"

[Dierik]

Dierik smiled and shook his head, venturing up on to the deck again. Someone had finally shown Purple Shark up in gambling! It was bound to happen some time. He nodded to her and Leyshon as he passed them, and went to lean on the rail, gazing up at the sails.

"Mr. Rous," Captain Raphael called.

Dierik looked over, surprised, "Yes cap'n?"

"I want you to work with one of our newer crewmates, Garin. Keep an eye on him and get him up to our standards," Captain Raphael ordered.

Dierik smiled, he was glad for something to do. He nodded, "Where is he?"

"Just over there"-he pointed abaft-"the scrawny one about your age."

Dierik nodded again and Captain Raphael walked away. Dierik took a breath and made his way over to the boy.

"Oy," he called. The boy looked up in surprise. Without waiting for a reply, Dierik went on, "Name's Dierik. Cap'n ordered me to work with you."

Arthur Hearthorn -- April 11th, 1650 -- Helmsman/Navigator

I sighed. "Fine, Isabella. Stay if you want. Who am I to stop you?"

I turned and strode to the door. I pulled it open and began to walk out before remembering something. I turned to look over my shoulder.

"Oh, and by the way...tonight never happened."

I shut the door behind me and went up above, intending to reclaim my position by the wheel, where I was truly comfortable. I hoped Isabella would have the sense not to follow.

Garin

Garin regarded the newcomer for a moment, then offered a hand. "Pleased to meet you, mate," he said.

Then he smiled suddenly. "The captain wanted you to work with me? How long have you been with him?"

Caralina (Peter)----

Caralina looked at the darkness and chewed on her lip. She didn't know what she was supposed to do now. Where she was to sleep. Unless someone told her she wouldn't ask, she would just find somewhere to lay down and sleep. She pulled her hat down further on her head and made sure her hair stayed up inside of it. She sighed and walked aroudn the deck checking anythign she could think of. She didn't want to go down and watch people play cards, she would be to tempted to play herself. And there wasn't much to do above deck. So what was as stowaway girl acting like a boy supposed to do.

Play the role of a crewmen. She sighed, but what did they do when it go dark like this.
"And you wonder why we don't like you!" -Trumpkin

He looked into the glass of rum, took a swig of it and then looked back to Lilith. "I started piracy at 'bout the age of 13. How 'bout you Purple Shark?"

[Leyshon Blodwyn]

He smiled back as he drank the rest of the rum in the glass and then set it down. Lilith picked up the bottle of rum to refill his glass, but Leyshon shook his head.

"It's getting late, a fair lass like you need her beauty sleep." he took his hat off and placed it on Lilith's head, turning the front of it down as he walked away. "G'night Lilith,"

Leyshon walked over to the edge of the deck and looked over the side at the water below. Darkness surrounded the Plague, he looked back over at Lilith out of the corner of his eye. She was looking back over to him.

"Probably wondering why I gave her my hat," he mused.

Lilith~

Lilith smiled as she pulled the hat farther down and took another drink of the rum. She shivered and looked up at the sky. Stars dotted every milimeter of the sky, the moon, which was full, was bright and almost blinding. She leaned back and watched the sky.
