Lilith~

Lilith tossed a dagger at the captain's feet, imobilzing him as she kicked him him the gut, making him fall backwards. She grabbed his arms and the younger lads grabbed onto him also, tying him up. Lilith breathed once all the men were tied. She grabbed the two young lads and dragged them both away.

"How old are ye?" She demanded.

"19." They both replied.

Lilith threw her head back and laughed. "Ye two be older yet ye weaker? I say ye both be women. I'm not fool like those men." She smiled and yanked both of their hats.

"Welcome lasses. Thank you for your help," she pumped both hands and both girls winced. "If any of you have a problem with the men you can either tell me or jump overboard." She smiled and handed them back their hats as she walked back to the deck, grabbing her pistol and shooting into the water at the mermaids, whom made pitiful screeches as the boat floated off.

Caralina (Peter)----

Caralina tugged her hat back on her head and looked at the other girl. She looked back towards where the men were tied and walked back towards it turning the corner to where she could see them. She helped steer the ship while the others made sure the mermaids didn't follow. She couldnt' believe she had let herself get caught. She wanted to hit herself, but decided not to. She could've acted like a guy and gotten tied up, but the mermaids wouldnt' have believed it for a second.

*Urg, all my posts keep getting messed up! -.-*

Arthur Hearthorn -- April 11th, 1650 -- Helmsman/Navigator

Slowly, the song grew fainter and fainter until to became nothing but a sweet wisp of memory, promising me everything I ever wanted. It was a sore memory for sure, but logic and sense were returning, along with the knowledge that that memory was dangerous.

I stirred against my bonds. Then I caught sight of a hope for escape.

"Isabella," I called softly after she turned from vigorously shaking hands with Purple Shark. She spun at the sound of her name, grimacing slightly, and walked over.

"Untie me, please?" I asked, conscious of the groaning men around me. Even though I lived with them all on this ship, being in such close proximities with all of them, especially when they weren't all fully themselves, made me uneasy.

Plus, to add to my uneasiness, someone else was steering. Some new crew member. Someone who wasn't trained. Someone who wasn't me.

***We could have the mermaids come back....???? Just a thought, cause that did go really really fast***

Caralina (Peter)---

Caralina didn't know where she was steering the ship to, but she did know that she was going to keep it in a straight path. It wasn't easy, but she was managing so far. Her thoughts went back to the mermaids, why had they made the men so disorented. She had thought the song utterly disgusting. It didn't even sound good. But that was just her opinion. She sighed, she just hoped they didn't come back. That she wouldn't have to worry about them again. She could still feel the mermaid's hand on her ankle. It hurt a little from where her nails had dug in the skin. She ignored it though.

Isabella - Tristan

I stared at Thorn for a moment, letting my head clear. He was no more than another member of the crew, someone I hardly knew. As far as he was concerned, our past never happened. As much as it hurt, I had to go along with that. And just to show him I could, I planned to go along with it absolutely perfectly.

"I'm not Isabella," I said as I pulled a dagger from my waist band. "I don't know who yer talking about, but I'd gladly untie ye." I bent over, having to be rather close to him if I was going to cut his bonds. I inhaled deeply, noting his scent was on the air I breathed. I shook my head clear and began slicing through the ropes.

That last comment had struck me deeply, even though I hated to admit it.

Remember why you did it, I told myself over and over. But even that didn't work as her scent, nearly forgotten, drifted past me as she bent and began to cut at the ropes surrounding my arms.

"Isabella, I'm sorry," I murmured quietly so that only she would hear, hanging my head. "I just didn't want you to get hurt..."

She stopped cutting for a moment, keeping her face turned away from me. I couldn't tell if she was angry or not. I wouldn't have blamed her if she was.

Isabella - Tristan

I listened to Thorns voice, soft and sincere.

Tears were welling in my eyes. I couldn't let them be seen, especially not by Thorn. I stopped cutting for a moment, attempting to clear my head. I sawed through the rest of the ropes quickly.

"There, yer done," I said, my voice cracking midword. I hoped he didn't notice it as I stood and made my way to below deck, where I could, unnoticed by the others, let my emotions out.

[Dierik]

Dierik nodded at Garin, he was probably right. But he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something a bit off about those crewmates. He shook his head and watched as someone came to untie him.

Stepping from the ropes that now lay at his feet, Dierik turned to Garin, smiling slightly,"I'd never seen a mermaid before. At least, not when I was old enough to remember them... They sure make an... impression don't they?"

Garin grinned, "If that's what you want to call it."

Dierik laughed.

Arthur Hearthorn -- April 15th, 1650 -- Helmsman/Navigator

I sighed. She was mad, and with good reason. I slowly trudged up the stairs and up to my normal position.

"Thank you, lad, but I'll take it from here," I said, taking his place, placing my hands on the familiar wood. He nodded and ran below deck.

I let the sea breeze carry away my worries for a time, yawning as sleep threatened to overtake me.

"Get some sleep, Hearthorn," the Cap'n said all of the sudden from behind me. But I was used to him sneaking up on me by now, and didn't react.

"Gotta steer the ship," I said, covering up my yawn with a cough. It didn't work.

"Not forever you don't. Go on," he said, pushing me aside and taking my place. I knew there would be no arguing with him, so I went below, yawning at least every five steps. Crew members called for me to join them in gambling and cards. Some of the older ones taunted and teased. I ignored them all, only a single thought running though my mind.

Sleep

Without really paying attention to where I was going, I carelessly ran into someone - or someone ran into me - and we both went crashing to the floor.

When I stood again, mumbling an apology, I came eye-to-eye with Isabella.

Caralina (Peter)---

Caralina sat on one of the mast poles looking at the long expance of sea around her. She looked up at the crow's nest not to far away from her. She watched as Captain steered the ship. She had liked steering it, but she wasn't going to say anything. She looked back out at the water. She sighed, it smelled good out there. It seemed perfect other then the storm clouds up ahead. She didn't figure she would need to point it out. If she saw a ship, she'd need to if no one else did, but storm clouds anyone would see. If no one said anything she'd tell someone. She pulled her hat down as the wind tugged at it threatening to pull it from her head. She lost her balance and started falling back her legs tightening around the mast pole. She frowned, she could let her hat go and grab the mast pole, or she could hold her hat and wait for someone to help. She groaned, either way she was in trouble. She let go of the hat with one hand and grabbed the pole trying to pull herself up. It wasn't easy, but she managed to getting in a laying position on the pole. She kept her hand on her hat as she slowly sat up and wrapped her other hand around the mast.

Isabella - Tristan

I stumbled backward, away from Thorn. My eyes were still red from tears, and I couldn't let him see that.

He was staring at me, watching every move I made.

"Isabella," he said softly. The tone of his voice, quite literally, hurt. It made me want to scream, to cry. Worst of all, it made me want to fall into his arms and never move again.

A new fit of tears were coming, and I quickly spun around. My room was the only place I could think of to go. I threw the door open forcefully before collapsing to my knees in what was nothing more than an emotional overload. Never had I cried so much in my life, much less in one day.

I thought I heard footsteps behind me, but couldn't be certain. My hat lay on the ground beside me, my hair covering my face slightly. Silently I hoped Thorn had followed.

Captain Raphael

I noticed the newest crew member, Peter, lying up on one of the masts. He seemed to have been quite concerned with keeping his hat on, regardless of how high up he was.

"PETER!" I called loudly. He turned to look at me, and I waved a hand for him to come down.

After struggling to get down, he ran across the ship to me.

"Yessir?" he asked breathlessly.

"You weren't affected by the mermaids," I commented, moving aside and gesturing for him to take the wheel.

*whoa... I was gone 2 days and there were 2 pages made...*

[Leyshon Blodwyn]

Darkness surrounded him as he slept, head leaning over the edge of the ship. There had been some noise and shouts around him, but didn't think anything of it. He thought the beautiful voices were just a dream and kept on sleeping.

"Are you asleep?" asked a familiar voice. "Didn't you hear the mermaids?"

Leyshon's head shot up and found that it was Lilith. "What? There were mermaids? That wasn't a dream?" he looked up at the hat that he had given her, it was still on her head.

"I see that you like it?"

Lilith~

Lilith blushed and looked away. "Yeah, so?" She mummbled, helping him to his feet. He flashed her a smile and she blushed deeper. "I'm gonna...uh..." There was nothing to do. She sighed and sat on the side of the ship, looking around at all the wakening people.

Arthur Hearthorn -- April 11th, 1650 -- Helmsman/Navigator

I quietly followed Isabella to her room, my exhaustion forgotten completely for the moment. I knelt next to her and picked up her hat, twirling it idly with one finger.

"When I entered piracy," I started quietly, almost to myself, "it was because I had nothing better. No one in the town would hire me; I was useless in just about everything I tried. Then, on one of my first days aboard this ship, one of the pirates thought it'd be funny to try to shoot bullets as close to my head as possible without hitting me."

My hand went instinctively to my right ear where half of it had been blown off. I winced slightly in remembered pain.

"After that, I knew this was not the life I would've wanted for you. You had such promise in your future, Isabella. I didn't want you to give it up for me. We were young and reckless at the time, and I thought that if I left you'd forget about me and find someone better for yourself. Someone besides some scoundrel pirate."

I stood slowly, dropping the hat beside her before walking to the door.

"Isabella, if I had my way right now, you'd be on your way back to your home."
