F******Wow I missed alot. Well I'll jump on in here. Course she'll still be a stowaway. Don't know how that will work.***********

Caralina

Caralina stayed curled up in the box she had found open at port. It had been empty but for a a few sheets of what she guessed was for fixing the sail if it got broken. It made a very comfortable bed, but that was it.

She readjusted the hat on her head that kept her hair hidden. She sighed, she woudl be dead if her father ever found her again, along with the fact that she was in boys clothing. She had told herself that if she put dirt on her face it would make her look more like a boy. She smiled when she remembered looking in the mirror. As long as she didn't look anyone in the eyes she would be doing good. Her eyes always gave away everything. Her small size could be blaimed on being young, and as long as she kept her face dirty her smooth skin wouldn't give her away.

She had been terrified when she heard the battle above deck, then another stow away that was bellow deck had been caught, she hadn't heard a noise from him sense.

If they find you they will kill you! A voice rang in her ear. She swallowed hard.

Then they wont find me. She nodded and curled up once more trying to ease the pain in her cramped legs.

[Dierik]

Dierik wiped the dirt and sweat from his brow, looking around at the nearly clean deck. He felt a certain tenderness as his eyes roamed over the familiar wooden flooring and finely carved railings. He loved this ship. L-O-V-E-D her! He had grown up with her, watched her deck gather scars and bloodstains, leaned on the railings at midnight, gazing out at the sea when he couldn't sleep.

He smiled and retied his bandanna, a habit. Someday, she would be his. And then they would plague the sea, wreaking havoc on every gold-bearing vessel that dared stand in their way. For now, he was content to live his life out on her.

He looked over at the crew, noticing that the minor squabbles had died down. His mind returned to the Treasure that lay ahead. Calatravas had made the deal with Poseidon for every piece of gold that rested at the bottom of the sea. Dierik had seen enough shipwrecks to know how much that was.

Wiping his hands on his pants, Dierik waited for the captain to give his after-battle speech, which usually only happened when he had something bigger in mind. It should come any time now.

[Leyshon Blodwyn]

"Captain Raphael!" he shouted, walking over to him.

The captain turned his attention away from Tristan/Isabella. Leyshon gave the rest of the coins to Raphael with a grin, then walked away once he took them. The ship was cleared of corpses, the only thing left to do was store the loot from the day's fight.

Leyshon walked over to the purple haired girl and took the treasure chest from her.

"Hey!"

"You'd be better off finding a way to cover up that wound." Leyshon said with a smile as he took the chest the rest of the way to the captain's area.
Our happiness here is all vain glory,
This false world is but transitory,
The flesh is weak, the Fiend is slee
Timor mortis conturbat me.

**Urm...KittyKat's post lost me. Cap'n Raphael wasn't speakign to Isabella/Tristan, and all the characters SHOULD be referring to her as Tristan beacuse they don't know she's a girl. Either way, I"m going ot go on with the plot. Isabella/Tristan is still standing with Thorn, and Cap'n Raphael is giving his speech**

Captain Raphael

"Gather 'round!" I called, jumping up onto a stack of crates. My crew gathered quickly into a semi-circle in front of me. "'t was a good battle today!"

The crew cheered loudly.

"We fought and won with pride."

More cheering.

"The Golden Amity is completely underwater, along with her sorry excuse for a crew!"

Even more cheering, louder than before, followed this. I rose my arms high to quiet the crew.

"So, one of our strongest enemies is out of the way," I began, keeping my hands up in a sign of silence. "Not only does this up our reputation, but this puts us a step closer to the treasure."

The crew cheered again, besides my attempts to keep them quiet. I gave them a few minutes before shooting my pistol into the air to silence them.

"But, on to more pressing matters! The next step is to get the maps from Toribrio. This will take a long time, and I am not over exaggerating at all when I say that."

"But we know where she lives!" one of the men argued.

"How hard can it be to set the coordinates if we know them?" another added.

"Yes, getting to her island is simple enough. It would still take a few weeks at the least to get there, but it wouldn't be at all difficult. However, if I remember correctly, her island is quite dangerous. Dangerous meaning we will have to go to the island on a small paddle boat, while watching out for sharks and other sea creatures that will most likely try to kill us. And even if we make it past all of that, Toribrio lives in the heart of the jungle, which will be another long journey."

A few of the men began cheering.

"We can do it!" one of them cried.

"Easy!" Another added.

I loved their enthusiasm, basked in it, as they began shuffling around, preparing for the long journey ahead.

**brilliant Bella! wonderful job!**
[Dierik]

Dierik smiled, digesting the information. He had known it would be a long journey, but it was annoying all the same. That much longer to wait. Then he raised an arm, punching it in the air, and whooped in victory with the rest of the crew. He felt his face grow wild with excitement, of course they could do it!

"The Plague is unstoppable!" he yelled, one of the favorite cheers among us.

Captain Raphael leaped off the crates unceremoniously and with a few more whoops and yells, the crew dispersed. Dierik, still smiling wickedly, went to check the riggings and the sails, preparing to start the journey.

**during our journey is a good time to get some relationship/conflict ideas going**

**This should get TN in. And I'm still waiting for Maybe to post before I do anythnig more with Tristan/Isabella**

Captain Raphael

I moved around the ship, watching the others work, and helping when necessary.

"Capt'n, one of the sails needs repaired," Deirek came to stand in front of me, his back straight, his eye attentive.

"Alright then, let's get to it," I replied simply. "Where is the extra material?"

"Below deck, should I go get it?" he asked, making to move.

"No, I'll get it," I replied.

I made my way down below for the first time in a while. It wasn't my prefered place to be on the ship, but sometimes I needed to go down there.

The crate that should have held the material was far off in the corner. I moved the lid, which was loose, off to the side.

"Well, hello there," I commented, looking down on what looked to be a young boy.

Caralina---

Caralina jumped looking up. She was trapped, no escape possible anywhere. She swallowed hard and tried to smile finding it impossible. "Hi." She managed to push out in the deepest voice she could muster. It sounded more like a squeak.

Her eyes looked the man's face over, his skin was tan and his light brown eyes looked down at her. She couldn't read them, He's a pirate! Of course you can't! He stood up tall and she swallowed hard again. Why couldn't I have been found by a cabin boy or something. This guy is a giant. She wanted to curl up and hide, but she knew she best not. He seemed to be waiting for something. Get out! She quickly scrambled out of the box and she backed into another one not looking at him. She knew he towered over her by at least a foot. Even though she was 19 she was still some what short. If she didn't have her hair shoved up in a hat she would've played with her hair just for her hands to do something. She played with the seam on her shirt instead. It frayed a little so she let her fingers stay ocupied by that. She wanted to curl up in a dark corner and hide. She didn't look up scared of what she would see. What would the captian say. Would he make her walk the blank?

They think you are a boy, make sure they don't find out otherwise. SHe warned herself, And don't look anyone in the eye!

Arthur Hearthorn -- April 11th, 1650 -- Helmsman/Navigator

I stepped back a pace to keep from being run over by Tristan, one of the young sailors. Word had spread that he had come down with some sort of sickness, but his cheeks had a normal flush to them, his eyes as bright as ever.

"Ho there lad. What's the rush?" I asked, lifting an eyebrow slightly.

*I'm trying for a cabin boy...is that okay?*

Name: Garin

Gender: male

Age: 16

Appearance: Not much. A lot of people forget he's there.
-Build: slight
-Eyes: blue
-Hair: limp and hangs down to his ears, platinum blond
-Any flaws: A long scar that stretches down his side. A few ugly ones on his legs, and one ankle is crooked. He doesn't like to talk about those, though.
-Clothes: Simple, torn breeches, a once-white shirt (now it's more gray) covered by a tattered, russet vest. No shoes.

Weapons: doesn't fight, but has a poorly-crafted knife in his belt.

Personality: Smiles a lot. Thoughtful. Doesn't talk much.

Background: Garin was a stowaway on a different pirate ship a year ago, and then he was very stubborn. Since he was so eager to get on their ship, he was forced to work especially hard, and when the captain knocked over a table in frusteration, scattering compasses, maps, and other naviagation tools, Garin was ordered to clean it up. When he refused, the captain knocked him down and nearly split him open. he was in fevers for a week, and came out meek as a lamb after that. He escaped when they made port and found employment on the Black Plague. He's just happy to get off the other ship.

Skills: Is a pretty good healer and listens well. A very useful spy.

**Random, incase Volant does join -- from what I've read cabin boys had a room attached to the Captian quarters, or something similar to that. I put Isabella/Tristan in that room on purpouse because it made sense that once she's found out as a girl she wouldn't want to sleep among the guys. Just so you know?**

Captain Raphael

"What're you doin' down here lad?!" I exclaimed, staring down at the boy. He looked small, somewhat frail even, but I took that to be his youth. He would not look me in the eye, instead kept his gaze pointed to the floor. He didn't reply when to my question.

Put simply, the poor lad seemed nervous.

"Lad, would you like a place upon my ship?" I offered.

-------------------------------------------------

Isabella As Tristan

"No rush," I replied, forcing myself to look at Thorn. "Just eager to get up on deck and out of the dark."

As a boy I wasn't allowed to have an interest in my crew mates. But as a girl I had a "slight" crush on Thorn. He looked much like the man who had left me for the sea a few years before, and had caught my attention almost immediatly. I had to make sure to hide it, for the sake of my disguise.

Caralina----

"Y-you'll let me stay?" She pushed the words out of her mouth keeping the deep tone in her voice.

"Yes." Came the reply.

"I can work hard. I promise, I know I look small, but I can do it." She said still keeping her eyes down. She squared her shoulders though, she wanted to shout for joy she was going to live and she would be able to get away from her fathers murderers.

Captain Raphael

"All right then. We're starting to run out of room in the general sleeping area, so you can stay with Tristan," I said, smiling down at the lad.

"All right," he agreed, his voice lightening slightly. Most wouldn't have noticed, but I was paying some attention.

"For now, take those sheets you were just sleeping on and go up to the sails. Ask around until you find Deriek, then give htem to him. Ask him if he needs you to do anything, and if he doesn't, come find me."

Caralina--

Caralina nodded and scurried to the box picking up the sails and hurrying out onto the deck. She stopped when the sun hit her eyes. Blinking a few times she got to where her eyes adjusted then she found the first pirate she could.

"Excuse me, where is Deriek?" She asked forcing her voice deep.

"By that sail." He replied gruffly walking by. She hurried to the Deriek guy.

"HEre is the stuff for the sails. Do you need me to help with anything?" She asked,

***ok, I'm tired of saying she is talking in a deep voice. She will do that until she is found out ot be a girl. SO ya.***

Andy looked at the boy.
He was only 12 year's old, way too young to even think about setting a foot on a ship.
And it was too late to save him.
" One man to the side!" Andy yelled and pushed the hair out of the boy's eyes.

Andy liked the captian and for his rousing speech. But the man seem's too nice to be...well, a pirate captian.

[Dierik]

"Sure," Derik nodded, "I just need to patch up a few holes. Well actually a lot of holes, apparently someone missed their target."

He shielded his eyes with his hand and looked up at the sail. What on earth were they doing? It looked like someone had cut it up just to be obnoxious.

"We don't have enough for a whole new sail, so just stick some cloth over the holes. They won't hold wind this way," he went on, then looked over at the man who was offering to help. He didn't look familiar.

Dierik grabbed some cloth, tore off a strip, and started sewing it on, "Who are you?"

The man didn't meet his eyes, "I uhh..."

Someone shouted from the deck, saving the man from answering, "Hey Dierik! Thinking of starting a sewing circle?"

Dierik rolled his eyes, "Why? You wanna join?"

The crew member laughed, and started working on a loose rigging. Dierik smiled to himself, then turned to the new man again, "Your name?"
