Maximum Ride: The New Breed

I was awaking I think.... My head rolled to one side I felt safe.... (for once). I knew I was in someones arms... but who? I tried to force my eyes open but failed. I knew we were in the air so it couldn't be a white coat. I didn't know what the heck it was. When I heard some shout,
"Erasers!!!" My eyes shot open and I threw myself out of the persons arms. I could barely keep myself up but all I needed to focus on was staying alive to thank the people who had saved me. Something in my stomach began to turn as I looked around to see everyone trying to get as high in that air as possible I followed.

Colt-


Colt stayed flying close to Lexy and Rose, Lexy seemed to be a tad weaker, but he justed wanted to make sure that they were ok and if they started falling he could make sure that they didn't fall or something.

name- Kei
age- 16
characteristics- silver hair. Gold eyes. short, about 5,3. Vibrant red wings, likes to wear black, has a pair of goggles around her neck
personality- She's sarcastic and insults people alot, but when she does she usually doesn't mean it. A bit bossy and kind of a know it all, with a really hot temper when someone hurts her friends, but with a good heart and loyal, willing to die for her friends. Extremly rebellious she's also a bit naive. a cunning tactician
side- run away
special traits- can generate/manipulate electricity, but has almost no control over it.

I'm not the king here (BBB is), but if she wants to join, should we just let her start as one of the people who escaped?

Only a couple of the new flock had come up and joined me. Mayze and Arro. "C'mon!" I yelled. The erasers were getting closer.... "Get up here!"

Kei-

I sat in the tree watching the others fighting in the sky. They were like me, and that was something I barely remembered. The others probably thought I'd died when we were little. I tugged at the collar around my neck and glared at the only eraser, my "trainer", still on the ground, the guy was supposed to be my trainer.

But seriously these guys are stupid, who brings one of the flock to catch one of the flock? Electricity sparked along my bare arms and the sky rumbled in answer. Lightning beginning to flicker through the storm clouds. D**n, I was losing control, and with my luck, I'd fry one of the flock.

I gather a ball of lightning in my hand and lob it at my trainer. It sails over his head and lands in his hand. Completely destroying the remote he was holding. With a click the collar I'd worn since I was four snapped off, I was finally free from the bomb inside it. With a shout I launched myself into the sky, unfurling my wings, as I sped to join the battle.

Finally, the new flock came up to where I was. And a new arrival, too.

We all waited for the erasers to make the next move. They made it quickly. One of them pulled out a machine gun and pointed it... towards me. Of course, 'cause I'm the one with the machine gun.

They fired, and I had no time to dodge. It hit me in the arm, and I cried out in pain, dropping the gun. I watched Sam fly down to get it, and I felt the untrusting feeling in my head leave. Was it him? But at that point, all of the other flock spread out, trying to avoid the gun, so I couldn't tell.

They didn't shoot for a few seconds, but I saw something worse. One of them had a rocket launcher.

That'll hurt, I thought.

Subconsciously--and then self-consciously--I flew in between Mayze and the erasers protectively.

Geez... I thought. But the feeling that I had was wonderful.

*sorry, I haven't been posting much. Yeah, it's fine to make a new character!*

[Nate]

Crap, I thought as I saw the rocket launcher being whipped out. What could I do? I mean, I'm still a mutant freak bird, but there is no way that I can stand up to a freaking rocket launcher! I did the only plausible action.

"RUN!" I bellowed, and startled a few of the flock. They looked questioningly at me, and I extened my wings and flapped them, soaring into the air. "Follow me!"

BLAM! The sound almost errupted my ear drums. The rocket launcher had been shot, and now there was a fifty pound rocket shooting straight for us.

"RUN!" I yelled again.

"Fly, you mean?!" I screamed back at Nate. I wasn't sure why I was being cynical, but I was.

Everyone turned around and started flying away. Well, a lot of people did, I'm not sure if I could see everyone. I ignored the blood gushing from my wound as I pumped my wings...

But I made sure to stay between Mayze and the erasers.

Kei-

Even as I flew away with the others the power in me continued to build with my anger and fear. I saw the missile heading towards, "Hmmm... metal, in the sky, with a storm brewing." A wicked grin spread across my face and I started a barrel roll flipping around in the air. "My kind of recipe."

With a gasp of relief I send my energy towards the missile, lightning arks down out of the sky striking the missile and causing it to explode. As I finish the roll I spot the Eraser with the launcher. "Hey guys!" I shouted. "They're reloading."

(Lexy)

My body began to shake like I was having a mental break-down or something. We needed to get out of there... and fast too. I looked at Colt and at ZT... i shook my head at how crazy things were all getting. My wings cut against the sky as I yelled.
"RUN!!! Hurry! We have to get out of here now!!!"
I was starting to panic, which wasn't a good thing we had to make it... we needed to get out of there....

*sorry it's short but I can't think of anything right now. and it's really confusing when you guys say 'Max' in your story because sometimes I think your talking to me...lol nevermind*

[Stella]

I was starting to panic, and I was losing my concentration so my vision was fading. I heard the screams for me to fly. I didn’t need anymore than that.

I pounded my wings and followed the others, knowing I was too weak to even try to fight back. I flew higher than the rest as I followed them, trailing slightly behind them.

I started maneuvering in the sky as bullets soared passed us. One caught my shoulder and I cried out in pain. Memories of the countless experiments passed before my closed eyes and anger started bubbling up in me. My concentration was lost and I couldn’t see. This made me panic even further and I opened my eyes, biting my lips until they bled to keep in a cry of pain.

Once I was a distance away, I turned and look back. Not everyone had made it. And the erasers were closing in. I didn't think that I could help anyone with my arm, but I had to try.

Colt was flying next to me, and he saw what happened. We started to fly back.

[Arro]

Arro loved the feeling of flight, she closed her eyes for a moment and soared before crashing into a boy and swiftly apologizing.

'Sorry! I wasn't looking!'

'Don't worry!' he called back, 'Neither was I!'

She laughed in spite of herself and all worries and concerns about the outside world vanished in an instant.

She could see Nate and Blade below her and she kept an eye one the pursuing erasers.

There was a boy with a wound in his wing and it was obvious he was struggling as he made his way back towards the few left on the ground.

Arro turned sharply around to help them.

She caught up with them easily, the boys wound as slowing them down. 'Need any help?' she asked.

Then focused on the oncoming erasers.
