The garden of reviews is looking even more beautiful this week!

We're now up to 476 total reviews this month! Well on our way to 1000 reviews! Let's see if we can do it! We have had 65 participants in RevMo this month - but there's still plenty of time to get involved just by writing a few reviews! We've reached our first color check in and the garden is looking beautiful and full of reviews blooming! So far this September the site has written 246 reviews!! That is incredible! Do you think together we could reach... 1000?

It's August 31... you know what that means?! Review Month (#RevMo) is just around the corner! Be sure to read up on this year's activities in the RevMo 2026 Thread and share your #ReviewGoals before the month begins if you like!

What is Review Month?

Review Month is an annual, month-long event that takes place on YWS every September. From September 1st to September 30th, users participate in a variety of challenges, hashtags, and events that focus on reviewing works of other site members. This event focuses on creating quality reviews that provide meaningful feedback to the receiver!

There's so many fun ways to participate this year - including the classic checklist challenge and banner challenge! Throughout the month of September, you can unlock special username colours based on how many reviews you write. These will be updated once a week based on how many you have written in total, up to that point in the month. Anyone who writes 50 reviews can choose any of these 4 username colours to keep for two weeks into October!

10 Reviews - Tulip Pink
20 Reviews - Rose Red
30 Reviews - Marigold Orange
50 Reviews - Sunflower Gold

And with that, our annual RevMo comes to a close! What a crazy and colorful September it was! Congratulation to everyone who got to rock a new role color for September, whether you got to be a tomato or an orchid or a tulip! I hope you guys enjoyed your beautiful colors! I know I was super jealous of that gorgeous orchid color, personally...

With that said, let's take a look at the recap for RevMo 2025!

During the month of September, the members of our community (those participating in RevMo and those who were not) submitted 848 reviews (according to the YWS review statistics)! That's insane!! Congratulations and thank you to everyone who took the time out of their busy lives to submit a review during September. You are all amazing and the reason YWS keeps going.

With that said, it's time to congratulate our week 4 winners... who will wear the beautiful victory gold for the first 2 weeks of October?!

Finally, let's unveil the users who completed Team Tortoise challenge for the month of October!

I hope you all enjoy these first two weeks of October with your beautiful role colors!

Once again, thank you to everyone for participating in RevMo (whether you realized you were or not LOL). We appreciate each and every one of you!!

Hey RevMo participants! Just letting you know that you have 48 hours to get those reviews done and hit that 50 review mark so you can get that victory color! I will be making all the changes and announcing the winners on Tuesday, sometime in the evening!

The second week of RevMo is officially over! We've still got over 200 works in the Green Room, but we're making progress! 57 users have written at least one review this month, and in total, we've written 401 reviews! That's more than double the amount of reviews from last week!!

In light of that, let's take a look at our updated role colors! First, let's welcome our new tomatos!: @Cheerio @Ravena @Milesperhour133 @Valkyria and @oirichu! These users did up to 10 reviews this month!

And now, for our amazing and new orchids!... these users did up to 25 reviews so far this month... congratulations on getting the best role color to @AlexWrites @CATSRULETHEWORLD387 @Messenger and @thehoplessromantic!! Keep up the amazing work, everyone!

The first week of RevMo is officially over! We've still got over 200 works in the Green Room, but we're making progress! 42 users have written at least one review this month, and in total, we've written 196 reviews!

Speaking of... it's time for our first username color! Major congrats to @Genevieve, @lalalucky, @AlexWrites, @CATSRULETHEWORLD387, @Wolfi, @Messenger, and @Calamity who all wrote 10 or more reviews in the first week and have therefore earned a tomato colored username! You all are awesome!

And finally, we have to give a huge shoutout to these two users who stuck with the challenge, and came out victorious reviewing once every day of September winning Team Tortoise for the month! (Congratulations to the users who made it very close to winning this too - thanks for your dedication!)

These two users have earned the ultimate dark cyan username color for the first 2 weeks of October! Well done to both of these talented reviewers!

Earning the top honors of Review Month is a hard-set challenge, taking massive amounts of dedication and Reviewing! This year two users managed to beat the odds and earn themselves a gorgeous victory gold username color for the first 2 weeks of October! Well done to both of these incredible reviewers! We're thankful to have you as part of this amazing site and thank you for the reviewing you did.

This was the rarest username color of the month - with only candyhearts and Akira managing to earn it during the course of the event! The following users wrote at least 35 reviews during September, earning them this fabulous silver username color for the first 5 days of October! You did wonderfully and deserve this cool username color!

Congratulations to everyone for an absolutely successful and wonderful Review Month! There was so much quality reviewing in September - and believe me, it made a difference! Users had fun tackling challenges like the "In Depth Poetry Review Event," the Checklist Challenge, the Color Challenge, Team Tortoise, and even an end of month Autumn Themed Review Day!

Our sitewide goal for September was 750 reviews, and though we didn't quite make it, we were very close at 710 total reviews for the month! 2 members managed to earn victory gold, 2 managed to finish Team Tortoise, and altogether we had 86 users participating in Review Month by writing at least one review during the month!
