The Way

In Emotions

I've seen the world of darkness,

I still see it today.

I thought nothing would ever change

In my crooked, narrow way.

-

The way will never change:

It's the truth we all should know.

It's all about how we see it,

And the manner we should go.

-

As long as we don't stop walking,

The way will not be hard;

But it will never be easy,

So stay strong on guard.

-

I just want to tell you this

So you won't hurt yourself.

Don't you dare lose hope in life

As I once did myself.

As @TheSybarite mentioned in the review below, this is short & simple, but nevertheless deep and meaningful. I fear to articulate that I may be repetitive, so forgive me Steward. :D

No forced rhyming, no errors, and nothing wrong I see with this piece. I try, hel- yes I probably am, try to stay unbiased even after I've seen other works by one writer. But holy kudos, you have a wonderful talent for writing poetry and songs and everything in between. I wouldn't be surprised to hear more beautiful work in the future!

"As long as we don't stop walking" indeed. Good show. *salutes in modest fun* We've got to keep walking though it may be tedious at certain points of our lives. You've portrayed a superb message in this and I commend you for that.

Another happy review for ya!

Hey!
I really like this piece. It's short and simple and yet so deep and meaningful. Your choice of words is simple. But these simple words come together to form such beautiful stanzas holding the secrets of life within them. I think that is where the true beauty of this poem lies. I especially love the lines "The way will never change: It's the truth we all should know". The last two stanzas are absolutely gorgeous. They are motivational and so inspiring. It felt good reading them.
Great work...keep writing more. I would love to see more from you!

That's deep. The last stanza got me real good. I like empowering stuff like this, especially since I need some empowerment. I love it.

Really enjoyable to read. It flows really well. I loved that I could find multiple meanings in the poem. I also adored the inspirational touch that was laced with advice.
My favorite line is the last line (As I once did myself.) because it gives us, as the readers, a connection to you as the poet. That was really well done! This poem has really got a lot going for it!

Great job, steward!

I loved it. It was so full of emotion and meaning. I read it again and again to grasp more of its meaning. I loved it from the start until the end. I think the poem can be related to by anyone.

You had everything correct. I don't see anything wrong with it. By the way, Is this a free verse?

This is very good and touching. I totally get what you are writing about.

I didn't see any major mistakes in your poem. I just have a question about it. You don't have to answer it, but it would be nice if you did.

Why did you make when you said lose hope why did it highlight blue to where you could click on it, but when you do it takes you to the top of the page. What is it? I don't get it. Please tell me even though you don't have to.

Your poem was very poetic! I really liked it.

Love,
