This is my Life

In Poems of Love

Stop telling me things that I know aren't true
Stop saying i don't know anything when I know I do
You lie, you scream, you fight, you break me apart
You don't know how painful you are ripping my heart.

Don't you dare tell me that I am good-for-nothing
Cause I know in my mind that I am definitely worth something
If you want me to believe that I am just a waste of time
Then prove to me straight how a life can cost a dime.

You look at me like my existence is a mistake
You may think you're perfect, you're nothing but a fake
Someday I'll show you that I am absolutely better
I'll be the sun in the winter weather in the middle of December

You've done nothing but criticize someone else's space
Here I bring a lesson to mock at your face
This is me and my life you should not even judge
You are in my galaxy and you're nothing but a smudge

I hope you are not as pronounced and emphatic a rebel as you seem to be in the poem! lol.

But seriously, I reading your poem immensely.

The contemptuous manner in which you tell others to mind their own business and point a finger to you is really praiseworthy and doing that through a poem, especially one that rhymes well tells a lot about your repertoire.

I can hope that the people to whom you address are may be ignorant and good for nothing fellows only and not somebody who means well.

The poem encases the feelings of the teenagers so well.

Perhaps, perhaps, you would like to go through my poem 'The adolescent Wind' that presents an opposite view point, if you feel like it.

Keep the fire in your poem alive and keep writing.

Thanks

Hello, pandabear7 here to do a review. From the looks of it it'll be short, lol. I really like this poem. :) I especially like this, "You lie, you scream, you fight, you break me apart.. You don't know how painful you are ripping my heart." I see all of your poem rhymes :) that's great. You seem like you could be a pro at this. I don't really know how to judge poems much so I don't really do it. I am just letting you know I like it ALOT and you are really great. Besides no grammar issues either!! Keep it going!!!

The expression of feeling in this poem is expressed very well. Grammar and spelling are great. Now it is time to help with the whole purpose of this poem. You see, I know it's a typical thing to say, but, your parents do love you. The problem is that parents are human. And humans are selfish, and horrible things. A lot of parents feel that their dreams have failed, and they feel that because you are their child, you have the same dreams. They probably don't realize that you have your own dreams. Unless it is something that is absolutely ridiculous. Then they are just trying to protect you. It's one of their jobs. Just sit down and talk to them. You'll definitely come to some kind of agreement.

Hey it's Molly!

I really love the deepens of the poem. I can definitely relate to this. I definitely know how it feels when people want you to change and they try and tell you who to be. But all you want is to be yourself and for everyone to understand, you are who you are and that your not changing yourself just to make one person happy when you will end up making some one else mad. The rhyme scheme is brilliant and word choice is exquisite! A beautiful piece that I can read over and over again smoothly! I really enjoyed the line "Don't you dare tell me I am good-for-nothing, Cause I know in my mind that I am definitely worth something."
Brilliant!
