I'm Six Years Old and I Can Do Anything

I’m six years old and I can do anything.
I can ride a bike without training wheels,
and not care that I go slow and unsteady.

I can paint a masterpiece,
and not care that it’s impossible to tell what the picture is.

I can swim without a life jacket,
and not care that I thrash around, barely above the surface.

I can write my entire name all by myself,
and not care that the huge letters are shaky and uneven.

I’m six years old and I can do anything.
I can be me,
and not care what I look like, or how people judge me.

I’m only six years old
and I can do anything…anything at all.

Hey! I love the simplicity of your poem. I can almost picture my little cousin or me at that age.

The one critique I have is the title. If I were you, I would fix the quotation marks in 'I"m.' Other than that, I love it!

Keep writing,
