The loneliness prevails,
depression traps like a jail.
Feeling like you're choking,
but they say they're just joking.
People judge, they make you cry,
make you wonder the reason why.
You could even be on this earth,
I mean really, what's your worth?
If you're not beautiful to them,
a life of hate you'll be condemned.
People laugh and talk at your face,
'cause of your brain or your race.
You'll be ashamed of who you are,
you'll be left with a scar.
Just 'cause people are cruel,
or they bully to be cool.
At school your grin is a lie,
no one knows you want to die.
Cutting, starving, hurting 'cause they can't be nice,
no one suspects you'll be the one to pay the price.
Crying as the blood's dripping from you wrist,
down the bottle of pills, thinking you won't be missed.
That's it, they've had enough fun,
you stare down the barrel of a gun.
It ain't cool to kill...
To take away someone's will...
Why can't people all get along...
So everyone can feel like they belong...

I loved this poem, it's really good.
Keep writing like this and your work will go far.
I could personally relate, mainly because I'm a victim of bullying.
This poem really described how I feel, and I'm sure others can relate as well
Hopefully people will read this poem, and realize that there words can hurt others.
It's not worth someone dying because you fell like you need to fit in.
But you did an excellent job!!!!
Thanks, that means a lot.
i really really really loved this poem, it's just amazing, the way that they all end with the same way and give a very nice poem, i liked when you said
"People laugh and talk at your face,
'cause of your brain or your race."
and
"At school your grin is a lie,
no one knows you want to die."
very nice, keep writting like this and i hope those ppl who bully others at school would read this and realise what they are doing and stop.
thank you.
Thank you!!
I love this poem, the rhyming and timing, the power it brings. You've done a mighty job here.
I think that you've done well with such a serious topic.
A line didn't make sense to me in there, "People laugh and talk and your face," maybe it's just me but I don't know. I have reread it a few times and that one line still doesn't make sense to me.
But back to the greatness of this poem.
Having experience in this topic I know what it's like (having self harmed and tried to die a few times ending up in hospital), so if you ever, ever need someone to talk to, and this is to anyone reading this too, you can come to me. I may have the laptop open on YWS without being there but I'm not ignoring you I'm just away from the computer.
Very very good job, very touchy topic and you've done well.
Stay awesome and keep writing!!!

Thanks, that means a lot and I'll keep that in mind. Oh and I hadn't realised I wrote that, it's supposed to be 'at your face' oops
There, fixed.
