Chapter 8
Mochii
"Wow!" I yelled and stared up at the Tree Road. "What is this again?"
"You will see!" cried Cheyenne in excitement. We all climbed up the ladder and we finally stood up onto the tree road. It was tall, so tall I could see all of Evenlor! And it was long. so long that I could not see the other side of it.
"A horse stable!" yelled Morgan. I noticed a long stable on the side of the Tree Road. It did not take up a lot of space, so it was mostly looooooooooong and thin.
"I'm so excited!" I cried as we rushed into the stable. It was a hot day out, so the inside of the stable was nice and cool and refreshing. We all raced towards the first horses we saw. I don't exactly know horse breeds, so I'll just say that one was black, and two were a creamy color.
"They're all Friesians!" yelled Cheyenne. "Those are the best horse breeds ever!!!!!" Ooh, I thought. pretty horses.
"Let's go!" cried Sam and we were about to jump on the horses when a man walked in and said, "You can't take those, and why are you even here? Children can't be here, and it is a dangerous time with Toren the Torturer everywhere and stuff. And why are there animals, here, too?!"
"HI! Can we take these? Without paying? Wait a minute- it's ON CREDIT! Yes, yes, on CREDIT." I asked happily.
"What?!?!?! The fox talks???!!!" yelled the guy and had to put himself against the wall, to keep from fainting, I guess.
We all got onto the horses and again and rode out of the stable.
"WHOA!" Cried Morgan when she realized that we were riding bareback. "Whee!' I cried. Morgan was riding the black horse, and Me, Froggie, and Cheyenne were riding the cream horse, and Sam was riding the other Cream colored horse.
It was amazing! We could see everything from the horses! At first, it was scary, because we were all up so high and could easily fall off, but then it got fun again, and we could see the Silver river from one side, with the desert behind it, and then the mountains. Nobody knew what was behind those, because of the Dark Wall blocking everything. At least, I think.
"Woo! This is great!" I cried.
"YES!" agreed Sam. We finally finished riding for some time and sat down to eat lunch at the edge of the tree road. Occasionally someone would ride past very quickly and we would all gasp. It did not happen a lot, though, because not a lot of people were out on this hot day. But if they were, they were probably riding to the village on the other side of the tree road, where the whole thing ended.
Finally, we finished our pretzels with cheese, and gathered up the trash. Sam was about to throw it out, before Frogge yelled at him that it was littering, which was a terrible thing to do.
We got back up on the horses and I was pretty excited, because this was awesome, and at least my butt wasn't numb anymore.
"Wait!" Cheyenne stopped the cream horse, which we eventually learned her name was Suzie Q., and it was so sudden that I fell forward onto Froggie's face, who didn't look very happy.
"There's Toren! He's riding a boat on the Silver River! We have to catch up to him!" she cried, and we turned the horses around so we could get to the Silver River, to catch an evil wizard.

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
But they were the one to point it out, don't they know?
I'd love a bit of description of Evenlor here to really build up the world.
I love how being a fox that talks renders people so confused that they're all able to take horses and ride off without another word xD
I appreciate the detail, but I don't think we actually need to know who is riding which coloured horse unless it's going to be relevant to stuff that happens later!
Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuun!
At least they're all fueled up to catch the wizard! The talk of pretzels has made me hungry!
Let's go catch a wizard!
Icy
thank you, and I get very hungry when I write, I suppose.
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night(whichever one it is in your part of the world),
Hi! I'm here to leave a quick review!!
First Impression: Well this was quite a fun chapter. I think it's a nice little combo of us getting to see a surprise turn out to be kind of fun for a change and see everyone just able to enjoy themselves coupled with that one dangerous sighting right at the end to get us very much concerned for what could be happening in the very near future.
Anyway let's get right to it,
Hmm well okay, it seems our exciting little discovery from earlier isn't necessarily of the dangerous or the terrifying kind but rather we've just a stable with some what looks to be like a set of pretty normal horses in there. There's no telling where that could possibly end up going.
Okayy well it looks like they are fully about to just steal all of those horses right out of the stable there without a care in the world. I am honestly not sure how exactly to be reacting to that one. On one hand it is a little bit funny to see how that's going to play out here but also at the same time this is some proper stealing going on there and that is not great.
Well it seems they don't really care in the slightest about the potential consequences of any of this and are just straight up riding the horses straight out of there with absolutely no visible plans of actually slowing down or thinking about what happened back there. At least it seems they are having fun here.
OOooooh well it seems this time we have definitely spotted some potential evil there lurking in the shadows. That is quite fun to see. I can't wait to see what madness we get up to as a result of this particular sighting. I'm sure we're about to see some pretty interesting things go down here.
Aaaaand that's it for this one.
Overall: Overall I think we've got ourselves a pretty solid chapter yet again. A little questionable on the actual stealing that went down there but besides that little issue I think this went actually quite well and for the most part you've done a great job of things. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
As always remember to take what you think was helpful and forget the rest.
Stay Safe
Kate
