Clementine and Houston: Love in decaying hearts

*This story is underneath my folder titled “Love in decaying hearts”. Gacha Club character designs are under this forum: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=116005&start=1440. Enjoy!*

There was once a witch named Clementine who married a man named Houston. Houston did not know that she was a witch and she intended to keep it that way.

She loved her family life as much as Houston did, so she wouldn’t want to mess it up by telling him the truth. Clementine had kept her magic hidden within her, away from her husband and two daughters, Melanie and Angie.

Fourteen year old Angie did not seem to have powers, but Melanie had that look in her eyes that said there was something more, something that she was missing. The way she didn’t quite fit in, the way she wouldn’t speak much with her family, the way she kept dreaming and drawing…that was the sign of a witch.

But if Clementine didn’t tell her, then maybe Melanie could learn to ignore it. That was how it worked for her.

Magic would be too great to not destroy witches and non-witches alike. At least, that was what Clementine believed.

And the other new story in the folder, let’s go!

I rly like the intro paragraph. Once again, stellar summary of who Clemetine is and what matters to her story ^^

Oh and I like how you describe why Clementine thinks Melanie has magic!

I still think we might could have used a deeper exploration on why Clemetine thinks magic is bad. I feel like this could have been the perfect story to go into that? As it is, I feel a little left hanging XD

PS: I hope you appreciate that I read and wrote this and the other review under the most difficult of circumstances: with a cat awkwardly sleeping on my lap and me fighting for his peace via trying to stop the laptop from sliding onto him. It was a constant struggle lol (the cat certainly didn’t appreciate it; he just slept, lazy creature!)
