Through the Eyes of a Werewolf- Ch.7

Chapter 1

Chapter 6

Chapter 8

I ran until my lungs burned so bad that I could barely breathe. My legs felt numb from running so long. I sat by a small pond and stared into the water, thinking of everything that had happened. I then thought back to Dansi Falcon’s journal- there was something about being a female werewolf in there? Well, whoever said if I was a pure-breed or half breed? My mom and dad seemed normal... Maybe I inherited it from my grandpa or someone. I don’t remember him, He had died before I came into the stage of childhood when I began to remember things. I lifted my nose in the air on instinct and gulped down the many scents.

It smelled of urine & waste, another strange scent, something that smelled INCREDIBLY good and made my mouth water, and nature. My stomach vibrated and growled lightly, demanding for food. Would I have to hunt?! If this were a dream, then I might as well! Then again, It wasn’t a dream... In dreams, you never think that you’re in a dream when it’s a dream. It was all very life like anyway. If I were a human still, I’d have shrugged. I began following the scent which was surprisingly hard! First, I started going the wrong way when I started out. Then, second, I kept finding myself distracted by various things. I was suddenly right on top of the smell. A tiny bunny stared up at me, paralyzed with fear. Aww! It’s so cute! I thought.

Something over took me. It was so fast that I didn’t even realize what happened until after. I’d killed the bunny! NOOO!!!! But it smelled so... delicious... I just wanted to... I reached down and tore at the little thing. It tasted delicious! The smell and taste of blood put me in a frenzy. By the time I was done, the thing that used to be a bunny was a bloody mass of fur. I stared in horror but that thought was beat down by whatever overtook me before and I was thinking of how good that had tasted. I walked away carelessly and licked my fur clean. The strange scent that I had smelled before by the lake was so strong now that it nearly choked me. I looked around in wonder until panic rose in me. I wasn’t sure why but something told me, “Run, NOW. Danger!”

I looked around and ran. I flew over the ground and heard something shifting behind me. I looked back but only saw something black flash by. Adrenaline coursed through my veins as I ran inhumanly fast. I stopped running when any trace of the strange thing left the air. I listened intently to the forest sounds but heard nothing. I breathed heavily from both being tired and fear.

What was that thing?! Phew, that was definitely the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced! I got the same itchy feeling from under my skin that I got before I changed into this wolf. Before I could even react, a deep growling filled the forest. I looked around in fear and whimpered with my tail between my legs. I lurched forward in helpless pain, it began with my tail. I tried to take a step forward but my right arm bent back and cracked painfully. It wasn’t as bad as it had been before but it hurt SO badly. I howled in pain as my whole body soon began to contort. The howls turned into screams. When it was done, I was enveloped in darkness. The last thing I remembered was me laying on the forest floor and seeing something black above me. This time, instead of danger, I felt safe in its gaze.

I woke up to pain. I was sore all over! It hurt to even open my eyes. I groaned loudly and turned over. Forcing my eyes open, I saw that I was in my room. Well, at least not my actual room at home. I looked around and saw Sage curled up at the end of the bed and Thorn slumped in a chair with his mouth wide-open and snoring. I looked at them in wonder and remembered about what happened. I was about to get out of bed when I realized something… I had no clothes on! HOLY CRAP. My eyes widened and I looked at them. Did they… No, they… Am I…?!?! Oh my god. I started feeling faint- IM SO YOUNG, WHY! My breathing got rapid and I checked my body for marks.

Collecting the pillows, I covered myself up with them. I slowly got out of the bed, trying not to make a sound. With just my luck, I stepped on a splintering piece of wood from the door and got it stuck in my foot. I cried out in pain and the two woke up. I realized that I’d dropped the pillow covering my (pretty small) breasts. I frantically tried covering myself up and turned around to find a mirror. I ended up sprinting to the bathroom like a lopsided freak to find that door broken down too. GOD, this WOULD happen to me of all people. I cursed as Thorn peered in through the broken down door.

“Are you OK?” He asked innocently while eyeing me greedily.

“GET OUT! GAH!” He smirked as Sage pulled him away from the broken down door. Well, that was definitely the worst, most embarrassing thing EVER. No guy had ever seen me exposed and of course two strangers do. My face was burning like it was on fire and my whole body was sore… OH GOD, WHY AM I SORE! The panic from earlier met me again. Could they really have…?

Thoughts raced through my mind as did fear. I quickly got dressed. Attempting to pick out the wood splinters, Sage walked back in.

“Hey you should drink this," He said, handing me a cup with sticky gold liquid. It smelled so good! "you’re probably pretty sore from last night…” That’s when I freaked out.

I was laughing the whole time when she thought she... You know what I mean but... Yeah. I read your other chapters too and thought they were great! And the way Kamalia describes killing the bunny and being so conflicted about it... Amazing. Exactly what I would have thought in her shoes (paws). Keep writing! This story is getting intense! :) At times I feel a little emotionally detachted from Kamalia and some of the sentences are a tad awkward but other than that your story was great. I love werewolf stories... :)
