Hey!

I actually really liked this poem. I love short poems because they are awesome and hard to write. The rhyme didn't feel forced at all it seemed totally natural. I think the ~ on the last line should be removed because it's distracting and is not proper grammar.

Other than those things, like I said, I really liked this poem :)

Hey hey, here to give you a short review because the work itself is pretty short.
I did not understand it at first so I needed several reads to get it.The style and idea is new, fresh and unique so it catches the attention.I liked the tittle also.It was very catchy and it made me actually click on this work even if I was not willing to review it because I had seen this work several times but had dropped it.
Overall,it could be great if this poetry was atleast something longer and more detailed.
Keep on writing!

thanks for the comment :)

Hi carmenbluestar, acm here for a quick review! I really liked the subject of the poem, and how it was new and unique, taking a spin off of an old saying. I feel like you could have developed the poem more, because it was over before I had even recognized its beginning, but the lines that were there were very powerful. I only have a few suggestions about punctuation.

There's skeletons in our closet
Here it should be, 'There are skeletons' because skeletons are plural.
To hide them we do our best
I had to read this line over to understand it, because without the punctuation it got hard to read. I would put it as, 'To hide them, we do our best' The comma helps the flow a lot and makes it easier to understand.
To stop them from becoming monsters
This line really interested me. It implied that the skeletons weren't already monsters, but they turned into them if you fed them. You might even be friendly with these skeletons, as long as they don't turn against you. I feel like that could have been developed more if the poem was longer, and it would add a good theme to it and something that you wouldn't expect. Other than that, you just need a comma at the end of the line so it leads to the next.

Overall, I really liked this poem. I can't wait to read more of your poetry!

thanks for the advice

Hello carmenbluestar (that name is quite a mouthful. :D), Felistia here with a review for you on this wonderful day. :D
This poem is very short, so some of the stuff I talk about may be a bit strange, but relevant.

Title: So first off I am going to talk about the title since it is the first thing people see. I found it extremely intriguing and immediately clicked on the work. The title had mystery to it, but also explain basically what the poem was about. On the whole I thought it was a great title for this poem. :D

The poem:

Length: So when I first say the poem I was a little disappointed by how little words there were, but I can see why you made it short. The poem as it is perfect and the shortness of it helps with that. By adding more, you will risk sounding long winded and repeating things. If I were you I would keep it short.

Rhythm: Surprisingly your rhythm in the poem is quite nice. I expected it to be a bit stop and go, but it was pretty smooth. I think this is due to (best) and (flesh) almost sounding like a rhyme. :D

Punctuation: Okay so this is the one this in your poem that I wasn't happy with. You had little punctuation in here and a poem needs punctuation for the rhythm to be clear. Try adding some punctuation and if you get stuck don't hesitate to ask me for help. :D

On the whole this was a great poem and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Never stop writing and I hope you have a great day/night. :D

Your friend, Felistia. :D

thank you for the feedback
