걸어간다 - Walking

A poem dedicated to students.

I’m gonna be walking
Even when I’m tired
Even when I’m sleepy
Even when I want to stop

There’s not a reason
I’m just walking
Repeating this monotonous cycle
I’m just walking through life

I want to give up at times
Of course I want to
Who wouldn’t want to give up in this cruel and unforgiving world
Where not a single soul would even drop tears for me

It hurts at times
Of course it does
The people around me
Tell weaklings like me to give up at times

But I’m still walking
This path is my path
No one has the right to stop me at their will
Since I am me, not you

Same goes for you
You’re tired as well, aren’t you
Wandering aimlessly through these unfamiliar Evergreens
But rather than wandering around, won’t you walk with me
Because Hope is a Light that always exists

Nice poem written by the author.
First of all this poem is quite relatable (at least for me it is).

"Same goes for you
You’re tired as well, aren’t you
Wandering aimlessly through these unfamiliar Evergreens
But rather than wandering around, won’t you walk with me
Because Hope is a Light that always exists"
Yes, I'm really tired, tired and sick of this daily life chores. Everyday that same old things, same old scolding I get from my parents and teachers, same old food (like not literally), I am really tired of this lifestyle.
We keep on doing the things we don't like, the things we have no interest in, but still it is what it is, life is this way and so we have to live it. But just like the author mentioned, HOPE still exists. It is a fantastic word, bringing new opportunities everyday, new drama everyday (like yes, if you are a student drama is a part of your life). Hope can turn the barren-cracked land to an evergreen forest, it can turn unicellular plants to a whole new species, human-beings. Hope can do anything and everything, just believe.

Very well done. This poem made my day.

Always remember- "Winter always turns to spring, bringing new hope for everybody."
Keep it up.
Waiting for more.
Thank you.

Hello hello I hope you dont mind me popping in with a quick review. I will apologize that this might be a tad short. However, I hope I can help free this nice piece from the green room. I think that's enough rambling and I should start the review properly. Let's get into it, shall we?

Overall this was a very sweet poem. I love the message behind it as life can seem pointless but in truth, you have to get through the rough parts and find joy in the mundane. This is very relatable to me as I am coming into a time of life where I have to figure out a lot all at once. It can be easy to feel aimless, and pointless in the long run however that doesn't mean it's true.

A lot of the ideas you present are super relatable. I think we all have met someone who wants to sway us from passions but in the end, it's not worth it. Sometimes your dream job is the only thing that keeps you sane, especially for college students I would imagine. This is great stuff to highlight as I think we all need a pep talk once in and while.

Can I just say having it in both languages is a very fun touch?

Now Normally I would move on to feedback. However, I feel I wouldn't have much to add that the other review hasn't covered already. So I think I might just wrap things up.

This was a very well-done and uplifting poem. I want to thank you for sitting through my late-night disjointed ramble and are doing well. Happy Revmo! or any other month you're reading this in. As always keep writing and drink water!

Hi hi!

This is so relatable! With school starting again, I understand where you're coming from! It's so... not exciting, isn't it? I've always hated school :')

The emotions in this are so powerful! I love how walking symbolizes perseverance through tough times. Even if you're exhausted or struggling, life still goes on. I think that's what this poem is saying! That fits so well with the note about how this is dedicated to students, too! School is not easy the older you get, and I can see how the theme ties into that. It's very introspective in that regard!

Though, I wish it was more clear throughout. The poem starts with a personal reflection, but then it shifts to addressing another person. I wouldn't mind to see something like that, but it needs to be smooth! Maybe you could integrate the idea of shared struggle earlier in the poem, so the transition would be cleaner. I'm not great with ideas, but something like that would work! Anything would!

I like the idea of a transition though! The imagery here is very simple, but there's a lot of ways to use it. For example, the Evergreens in the latter part of the poem are great because they add dimension! I wonder if they symbolize something about resilience. Knowing how they survive harsh weather, something like that would be great!

However, I think it might be worth expanding on that. That, or maybe you could introduce more imagery of that nature. Poetry is more impactful when there's more description! What you have now is a great start, but I'm not sure what's happening outside of walking. I love the internal conflict about whether or not to continue walking, but it doesn't hit the way it should! It has so much potential though!

I enjoyed this a lot though! You have to keep walking, even if it's hard! ^-^

Well, if I can't get this chapter to work....at least I will have exercised my fingers.
