E - Everyone

I'm sorry

I'm so sorry

That I hurt you.

I wish I could explain

But you won't let me.

Everything I do is for you.

I wish I could go back

And change what I did.

I love you so much

The thought of losing you

Is enough to make me cry.

I don't wanna lose you!

I need you, Anjelica.

I just wish I knew

You were joking.

:'(!!!!

Heyaa Spartan!!

This is Eros here to write a review for this beautiful piece of poetry.

So, let us begin with th title. The title of your poem, "I'm sorry" is itself very attracting, catchy and captivating. It suits the theme of the poem.
The poem is indeed romantic, and has a sad touch to it. You long for Anjelica, and all the longings an the regrets have been expressed wonderfully.
The next thing is the theme of the poem. The main idea and the theme of the poem is very unique. Gotta read something new. AWESOME poem theme.

TH next thing is the choice of set of the words. The words you used were not very high-figh or anything litrature-ish kind. I loved that they were simple and sweet. This thing makes your style of writing very unique. I liked this. Thiis choice of words, simple and sweet makes the reader to undertand the poem better.

Overall, I loved this beautiful poetry.
Keep writing...
Never cease...
Because we all love to keep reading such beautiful works like this one.
Have a great day/night/evening!
:D

Thx Eros I love your reviews they make me see the bright side in everything cause you see the bright side in everything and that makes me happy to see that sight is not dead yet

WelC. My friend, that sight will never be dead. :D

Hey, Evzzer here!
I found this poem very interesting. It showcases the raw emotions and feelings of a person wanting their lover back. I'm aware that this is actually the case for you, which gives this piece much more depth and a feeling of sadness.
I feel you could have created more imagery and given us more though. Remember though, this is art and it does not have to be the truth or give away any personal experiences.
But well done overall on this raw expression. Good job!

Hello,
Like the wiser members above I agree that I like briefness of this poem and how it covers everything without stretching it out or overdoing it. The only thing I would like to see more of an explanation and (this is just a personal preference) maybe some imagery. I would like to see why and what you miss about the person this is written around.

That's too personal to put on here and I will never put that on a site like this cause it can cause problems later

Oh yeah I completely understand but I didn't mean it in a personal sense. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I just simply meant that there could be more description that doesn't necessarily have to be personal information.

Well the description in it is actually personal cause this is all about my relationship and stuff and the hardships we have to go through and stuff so anything I left out is for me and Anjelica's safety so it's a very personal poem already just the major stuff left out.

Don't post it?

Don't post,what strange

I like the brevity of this poem, and feel like you didn't really need to elaborate. You get your point across so strongly in the length that's already there, and so I feel that extending it wouldn't be very necessary. That being said, I think that in some places the flow could be better. Try reading the poem aloud and seeing which parts would have a better rhythm with different wording.
Thanks, and good luck!

(Ps- I am by no means a professional poet, haha)

I read it before publishing and it seemed fine to me

It is fine! I'm not saying your poem was bad at all. I liked it c:

Hey, it's Summer, dropping in for a review!! Apologies if this critique is short, but so is your poem :)

Overall, this poem was enjoyable. Mainly I would suggest elaborating - this is a great framework, but I think you could work a lot more elements into this poem to make it even better!!!

Here is a list of things to think about elaborating on:
1) "I'm so sorry That I hurt you. I wish I could explain" I am not sure if this poem is autobiographical or not, but nonetheless I think that this poem gives space for you/your character to explain. As a reader, this part left me with a lot of wonderings. Consider: How did you hurt Anjelica? What is your explanation for hurting them? It would be really interesting if this was discussed in the poem and I think it would help create a more personal tone.

2) "Everything I do is for you." I think it would be cool to give some examples of what you have done/will do for Anjelica. This would really help flesh out your poem and show your love for Anjelica. But it's up to you (obviously)!!!

3) "I wish I could go back And change what I did." As a reader I wonder: What did you do? How would you change it?

4) "The thought of losing you Is enough to make me cry." To show that your character is truly heartbroken you could consider adding some metaphors or other means of expressing the immense pain you are feeling. If you decide to do this I'd suggesting keeping the emotion raw and passionate (you do a good job of this as is) and try not to make it too over the top. A great thing about this poem is its simplicity.

Sidenote: I'm not so sure about the sad face at the end - but I guess that's your own artistic choice?? Personally, I feel like it makes the poem less serious and heartfelt.

Now, to end this review on a good note...

Here is a list of things I enjoyed:
1) I appreciated that this poem doesn't rhyme. I am personally not a big fan of poetry that rhymes (it often feels forced). Free verse is awesome and I love it! Nice work!!

2) I like the short lines, and the fact that sentences are often broken up into multiple lines. You did an amazing job of keeping it simply, which is really refreshing! There is nothing worse than cluttered poetry (okay, I can think of a lot of things that are worse than cluttered poetry).

3) The fact that you spelled Anjelica with a "j". Amazing! Super nifty! Weirdly enough it added a lot of personality to your poem.

4) The ending in general (by the ending I mean the last two lines). These lines do a great job of conveying the hopelessness/desperation of the character/the author/you.

Overall, great job - just elaborate!!!!

Keep writing lots and lots,
~ Summer

Atomic here with a review,
Hello citizen!
I hope that you are having a wonderful day!♥
...
This poem was beautiful.
It has so much passion and it is written from pure truth.
I know exactly how they feel, because I have wanted people back too. Sometimes it is worth letting them go. If you really love them, you will set them free from your stronghold. Now, I do not know if this poem is true. But if it is always feel free to PM me if you ever want someone to talk to. I know we do not know one another, but everyone here at YWS is family.

As always, God bless☺
AtomicBomb♥

Thx and we made up and stuff cause we love each other too much to let go

It doesn’t smell old, it just smells like a bad idea.
