I stare at the rows of pictures
Hanging on my wall
One of them is gone,
Just like you.
I read the inscriptions
Scribbled on the back
In your handwriting,
Making promises not kept.
We were so close,
But you made choices,
And I made choices,
And we drifted apart.
Still, I never really lost you.
We hardly spoke,
I saw you only in passing,
But I never stopped loving you.
But now you’re gone,
No more second chances,
No more time for reconciliation,
No more laughter.
We were best friends forever,
But your forever
Wasn’t long enough.

This is beautiful!! I love this because it feels like a situation that anyone can be in. Also is expressing the feelings she feels about the situation on how much she misses her. Adding on its also saying that she inst really gone but it feels like it even though she see her everyday. All the promises the made to each other are gone and now their is no way they an take it back because she is gone and is no way things can work out that way again.
I felt like I was there looking at the row of pictures.
I felt like I had tears in my eyes as I remembered what we shared and I keep wondering why we grew apart.
I can really relate to this poem. It's very touching.
I liked : "...In your handwriting,
Making promises never kept."
I would have written "... In your handwriting
promises that were never kept"
keep writing

Love it
The Missing Piece here for a review! Wow, this is beautiful. You can see the emotion in this story, did you, perhaps, write this when you where feeling so, alone? I never saw any grammar mistakes, so that's good! I really love this piece! My favorite part was:
"I stare at the rows of pictures
Hanging on my wall
One of them is gone,
Just like you."
It is beautiful! I really enjoyed this and I'd love to see more of your writing! Keep writing!

I really like this. It connects personally for me, and work that does that is just amazing.
I wouldn't say 'best friends forever' though. It doesn't seem to fit with the diction in the rest of your poem. Rather, maybe something that depicts what best friends forever means? Something like endless or eternal or enduring.
Amazing!
