We all need a little diadem -
every now and again.
Keep the devil at bay
with the coins of my dress hem.
He's coming you know
reason doesn't expect.
Stealing my necklace
Devil might break my neck.
Stay on at the heroes
Superman flew west.
Abandoned my Genesis
Didn't give it my best.

Hi, Renard!
Maybe, I'm just stupid but this was a little confusing at times. I do like that it has a dark aspect to it and it has great emotion.
I also liked that you were able to rhyme the words without making it seem forced. Sometimes, when a writer wants a poem to rhyme, the words don't seem to mesh because it is clear they were only looking for a rhyming sound and not the true fit for the story. You, on the other hand, were able to achieve both. Great work!

It's MasterGrieves, the big ol' man in the middle, always talkin' like Doolittle.
The meaning of the title is an amulet, a good luck charm, etc. I can only assume the title is sarcastic because the poem, to me, seems a bit pessimistic. It has an element of defeatism as well. I may be totally wrong, but that is just me.
This section seems to be reflecting a sense of a mission, i.e. to "keep the devil at bay" to prevent anything bad from happening. At the moment there seems to be a sense of urgency. The "diadem", a crown, is used as protection and a pedestal for protection.
Now, the Devil has arrived, to murder and to be evil. The fact that "reason doesn't expect" shows how unlikely the Devil actually is in...say, being the Devil. The Devil wants to steal the necklace for whatever reason to remove meaning the narrator has. The Devil is thus removing worth and purpose from the narrator.
The Devil has officially corrupted the narrator. The religious imagery of Genesis reinforces the metaphor of the Devil. The use of the heroes with Superman also creates a sense of being conquered by the Devil.
Overall, a very strong work and very enjoyable to read. You are definitely a poet, hunny, and you better know it.
